Everything was really good and great price and nice staff. The only suggestion I would have is turn the music off because that kind employee has to sit there and listen to that loud music all day. Also, their hearing may sustain irreversible damage as a result of having to hear to that loud volume all day long.I can only imagine that it must be very annoying for him or her and the other employees to try to work while that music is blasting. I know from the customer side that it is very annoying to try to hear the sound of your own voice while ordering and all while trying not to go deaf.

Your favorite Yelp correspondent is a big believer in symbols and mythology, perhaps owing to how I minored in English at USC several moons ago. So it was highly symbolic and deeply appropriate that today's meal was preceded by my parking next to a classic 1948 Chevrolet Fleetline attired in mint green. Today's introduction to the well reviewed Stewart & Grub is every bit as classic as the 76yr old collectible I parked next to! I ordered their Grub Burger, an (estimated) pound smash burger griddled with melted cheddar, dressed with housemade thousand, fresh tomatoes, onions and lettuce, precariously stacked on brioche buns. I upgraded to their "Make it a Meal" option for $5.49, which netted me their wondrous seasoned fries and a diet coke. SG's seasoned fries are bombastic!! Crinkle cut to ensure maximum crunch and generously dusted with both salt and pepper (you can't sleep on black pepper!). The staff are welcoming and equally generous with their smiles as they are with the well made food. For those who enjoy a soundtrack to their All American cuisine, Stewart & Grub proudly beams KRTH 101.1 FM on a throbbing 200-watt speaker- The perfect complement to any meal! If forced at gunpoint to find a fault? I'd decry that the dine-on counters are a bit on the narrow side- Now you understand WHY they dispatch their gem-quality meals on exquisite wee serving platters smaller than your teenager's iPad! Today's meal was $17.43, incl tax and tip.

This place looks like a staple of the community. It gives the vibe of an old style, grab-and-go, burger joint. Which I truly liked. There's somewhat room to seat there, but honestly, unless you don't mind the sound of two busy streets next to you, you're better off to make your order to go. The young lady who to took my order was professional and polite. She told me that it would be about ten minutes (or at least I think that's what I heard over traffic) until my order to be ready. No problem. That only means that it's going to be made fresh. Surprisingly it only took about 3 minutes. I only ordered their signature burger, the Grub Burger. The entire burger did taste like it was freshly made and a decent size at that.....but....the meat was over seasoned with salt. I was able to taste the actual meat, but a stronger taste of salt accompanied it. They do have an option of ordering Angus beef. Maybe next time, if I'm in the area, I'll try that one instead.

I recently had lunch here with a co-worker, and I have to say, it was a great experience. I ordered The Carpenter burger, which came topped with BBQ sauce and crispy bacon. The combination of the sweet and smoky BBQ sauce paired with the savory bacon was absolutely delicious. The fries were also a highlight, well-seasoned and crispy, they made the perfect side to complement the burger. The seasoning was spot-on, adding just the right amount of flavor without overpowering the taste of the fries. The spot is fantastic for takeout, but they also offer outdoor seating if you prefer to enjoy your meal there. It's a cozy spot that's ideal for a quick and satisfying lunch. If you're in the area and craving a tasty burger, I'd highly recommend stopping by!

PEOPLE ! YOU ALL NEED TO TRY THIS PLACE ! This Cheese Burgers are DELICIOUS , mouth watering ! I usually get The "Rio" one . Is very juicy ! IF YOU FEEL LIKE HAVING A BURGER - PLEASE GO HERE ! He has a little deck where you can wait for your food and enjoy it., My 10 years young daughter gives this place 10/10 , Y yo también !! You don't have to worry if there is no fan or air conditioner because you are outside . ENJOY

Went here with my coworker on our lunch break and I just got a double bacon cheeseburger. Not sure what my coworker got but my food was amazing! Service seemed to be really good. My coworker called our order in and by the time we got there, we picked up the order and went back to work. Definitely going back here soon!!

2nd time here. Great Turkey Burger. Not too many places around here for Turkey Burgers . They cook it to order-that's a good thing! I didn't order the fries this time-but they're good. Nothing special but they use I THINK seasoning salt. -that's a good thing. It so clean. Good music that reminds me of the KROCK days!!! Still into the whole safe distance thang-I likey. The young lady is nice the owner helped me last time he's kind of dry. But who knows....‍

Found Stewart&Grub on Yelp. Didn't read times or days went there on a Monday CLOSED. Tried again on Tuesday and got there about 7 something they close at 8pm. I wanted the Rampart made with Chili and I was told, "There is only 1 order of chili left and it's for another order" (It was my first time there I was surprised). A Downey police officer pulled up to get his order and I asked him what he thought about the place. He said, " I love it" got his burger and left. I settled for the Carpenter a BBQ burger it was very very light on the BBQ sauce,but the burger had a nice taste. We also got the grub cheeseburger( no complaints) The burgers are definitely messy and delicious.I did not see any combos only individual items. The place is a walk up and order, there are a few tables and stools for seating outside. seating outside at the corner of Stewart&Gray and old school River road.

The young lady who was at the cashier was nice the food was delicious I got the buffalo fries with buffalo wings on top and a patty melt

Was craving a good fresh burger and came here and boy did it not disappoint. People seriously need to check this place out. Food was so delicious and fresh. Joel gave us great customer service. Just found my go-to spot!
