Steve's BBQ

DELICIOUS BBQ! GREAT DATE SPOT. Uptown Whittier is super fun and a great area to go on a date with fun shops, restaurants, bars, and desserts spots. We've been to Steve's BBQ twice now and love it. The BBQ is falling off the bone tender and delicious. The burgers are juicy and craveable. The service was great, we had the same server each time and she explained everything and made sure we had refills. We got the Guacamole burger and the 2 item combo with baby back ribs and brisket. The Brisket was Smokey and had the perfect amount of fat. The spicy BBQ sauce was delicious. We got the Mac and cheese and sweet potato fries for our sides. A table next to us got the Beef ribs and they were giant like dinosaur bones- Flintstones style.They also have a diverse bar menu.The only downside is that it is a little bit expensive. But it's a fun area and worth it.

As a husband I'm blessed with a wife who wanted BBQ (of all things) on our anniversary.So we looked on Yelp and chose to try out Steve's.First off, the Brisket and Tri-tip were fantastic. They did not skimp on BBQ beans, but I LOVED they're Collared Greens. Everything came out on plate, not those obnoxious metal trays. We left full and satisfied as the flavors and amounts were just right. (well, me being greedy I wanted just a bit more green and beef. But I'm a big boy )The dining areas are a good size, the tables spaced so the no one trips over each other and folks can mind their own business easily. The decoration was simple but calming after a long day, so nice.The service folks are very nice folks and very attentive to the customer. It's very nice to be able to ask questions the first time there and NOT have the staff actively try to run away. I look forward to going back to Steve's BBQ.

First, I'd like to say that service was excellent, ambiance was great, good drinks/ cocktails. However, the food was subpar and extremely overpriced. The taco shrimp appetizers were bland and inedible - shrimp overcooked (tasted reheated), tortillas under heated, bland sauce & canned jalapeño as toppers. My husband was unimpressed with Caesar salad, which was mostly romaine stems. Potato skin appetizer was just ok, only took few bites.We spent $150 on two appetizers, Caesar salad, kids meal and 3 cocktails, with buyers remorse.The kitchen needs to work on food quality. Otherwise, folks like me will go to Woodranch and spend less.

This restaurant surprised us. The BBQ sauce is ultimately their secret sauce. Everything especially the ribs, was moist, juicy and fresh. Service was great and all to go food is always nicely and thoughtfully packed and ready for pick up. Totally worth the visit.

I actually found this place from a reel on Instagram and the BBQ looks so good that I have to come to try.Located in downtown Whittier, where parking can be limited but I was able to find street parking. I came here with a friend and we decided to share because the portions looks sharable in the picture. Good thing we did because we were stuffed after our meal. We ordered the baby back ribs, brisket, chicken with a side order of mac& cheese and coleslaw. The baby back ribs were tender and the meat fell off the bone. The brisket was very tender to chew on. The chicken was surprising not dry and was very juicy. Overall, the meats did not disappoint, they were all flavorful and delicious. I am not a fan of Mac& cheese but the mac& cheese was really good. The coleslaw was fresh and creamy.Service was very friendly, the waitress refilled our waters a couple of times and follow up if we needed anything. Overall, I would come back to this place when I'm craving BBQ.

This place was listed on one of mist fry BBQ place. Pretty nice and cozy place. We had the beef brisket, 1/2 baby back ribs, loaded potatoes, pork belly tacos. The brisket was very tasty and tender while the baby back was a bit tough. The pork belly taco was very tasty. Too much jalapeños but it was good. We also had fried ice cream and the bourbon bread pudding and that was excellent! The services could use some improvements. Food and desserts were served but there was no silverware. Took more than 5 min. To get the utensils plus we weren't finish eating yet and they are ready to take our plate away without asking if we were done. It's a bit pricey for a bbq join! A full rack of rib will set you back at $52 bucks!

Wanted to like this place so bad but the food just wasn't it. Service was great. It's a small place but the staff is attentive and friendly.BBQ was more fatty than what we're used to and the seasoning was just ok. The steamed veggies tasted like cafeteria food and had no seasoning whatsoever. Prices were way higher than we expected and we only got 2 dishes. I'd love to see some improvement on the food because the place itself was fine.

I've lived in Whittier for close to 20 years and this was our first time at Steve's BBQ. From the moment we stepped through the doors we were greeted by an incredible hostess whose warm and accommodation set the tone for a great dining experience. The ambiance is lovely, bustling, and decor surprisingly esthetically pleasing. Our server was polite, friendly, attentive, and had great knowledge of the menu that added another layer of enjoyment to the evening. Now for the food, each dish we ordered was a masterpiece with a perfect blends of flavors and textures that showcased the restuarant's commitment to high quality cuisine. In conclusion, Steve's BBQ is a Whittier iconic gem and happening dining destination with sleek settings and great crafted cocktails. It succeeded our expectations of not only satisfying our palates but leaving a lasting impression of a great dinning experience. We'll definitely be back!!

First time visiting this joint, I highly recommend. The food was amazing! The dessert was even better!! Come see Eric he gave us excellent customer service
