Starfish Sushi

First of all the girls here are so sweet and trying there best at all times . We love going there we go every Friday it's my husband's and I little treat . Please try the spicy edamame THE BEST SPICY buttery sauce , we love the R5 baked albacore roll R28 hungry roll R17 baked salmon rolls , recommend those! Enjoy !

The sushi is pretty good, I enjoyed the sushi rolls we ordered, I have no qualms with that. My favorite is the Godzilla roll! However I did get a spicy ramen and I didn't really like it. It just tasted like instant ramen does, but with some extra ingredients in it. I was expecting it to be better, especially for the price.Regardless I still enjoyed the meal, the service was okay. We came on Valentine's day so it was really busy and we didn't get someone assigned to us to take our order for a while and we were being helped by various staff when we needed something. But this was expected. We had to wait a while to finally get our bill at the end. But it was a holiday, so I will come back again and try more. The staff are very kind, I'm sure the service is better when they're not overwhelmed.

This place is consistently good. I have been coming here for years and the food and service have always exceeded my expectations. Their bento boxes are a good deal. Their rolls are fresh and delicious. My favorite is the fiesta roll. Their 50% off the second roll deal is great value. You should give it a try if you're on the fence. Good people with great food.

First time here and will be definitely be going back. The interior is a cute and cozy Japanese style restaurant. The servers and hostess were incredibly friendly and always had a smile on their faces, were quick, and attentive. I'm used to AYCE sushi, but you can tell that although it's a bit pricier, the nigiri were pretty sizable-almost double the size compared to an AYCE spot so it's pretty worth it with a decent ratio of rice to fish. But our favorites were the rolls- salmon epic roll and the spider crunch roll. Salmon epic roll was pretty filling on its own and has a generous amount of spicy tuna under the salmon along with the roe and sauces. The spider crunch roll has this perfectly cooked half soft shell crab in the center along with the other half cut into pieces inside the roll itself. The main reason why I went here is because they stay open late and I was craving sushi because it's summertime and I don't want to eat anything hot temperature wise. First off, I love the look of inside the restaurant, it's cute! I believe this is a Good choice, so happy I checked this place out. It was clean, the servers were friendly and the food is tasty. In my opinion, the sushi tasted fresh. Another plus, I think it's buy one get one 50% off. I would definitely come back.

How to get there: I was coming from South Gate so I just took Firestone all the way down to Brookshire.Service:Our waitress was great! She helped make great food choices and, was even kind enough to make substitutions on our choices due to dietary needs.The only reason it's not a 5 star and you know it's hard to get a 5 from me was the dessert situation. I ordered creme brulee and didn't get that at all. Everything else was fine.

Ive stayed away from trying this place for years, mainly due to the mixed reviews.We stopped by for lunch as we were in the area. Typical weekend crowd, only saw couple parties waiting, took our name to be added for the list. Surprisingly was not that bad of a wait. 30 min was more like 15.Place is clean, typical sushi spot.We ordered several rolls, and edmamae. Thats what makes or breaks it for me. Service was good, no complaints servers were nice and made us aware of some specials.Gotta say after trying the food, it does not deserve the poor ratings. Not sure what people expect when eating here. Food was fresh, rolls come in a variety, nicely sauced and tasted fresh. Def will try more items next time.

I like it here! The fish is fresh, the rolls are fat, and the service is blah. It's a little pricey.Their to-go is more like a 3*, because sometimes they do not honor the special instructions. But they are pretty speedy!Gorgeous ever since the remodel!!

Honestly I come here at least once a month whether it's dine in or take out and I have never been disappointed. I prefer the fresh rolls over the baked rolls but with the 50%off the second roll it always ends up being that we order a lot for a great price. We'll keep coming and enjoying the atmosphere, and food.
