Honestly the food was horrible, service was amazing but the food idk man it's not it.. no flavor I've tried chicken karaage at different restaurants and I love it but here it had no flavor. The skin fell right off the chicken and it was squishy.But service AMAZINGGGG! We forgot his name but he made a drink in front of us and was very attentive, respectable, and friendly.Charcuterie board 5/5 this was good! The jelly and honey were a perfect combination Chicken karaage 0/5 Wongton soup 2/5 it was very greasy and it upset my stomach the flavor wasn't bad it was just too greasy.

Great breakfast, where the kitchen staff had a a constant supply of fresh food coming to the buffet - no over prepping in terms of volume. Helpful wait staff

We went for breakfast/ brunch this AM as we stayed at the Crowne Plaza hotel. It is connected to the Crowne Plaza hotel. Buffet breakfast cost $26 per person and was only worth $15 at most. It was disappointing. Small buffet area looks like what you would get at free buffet breakfast at a small Marriott hotel or motel. Some cheap store bought bagels and pastries, some fruit that was not as fresh as I had hoped, scrambled eggs/ sausage/bacon choices, oatmeal, etc. The chef can make you an omelette or small crepe with fruit which is part of buffet but just ok. No whipped cream available for crepes. Would I come here for buffet breakfast again? No! We did not come close to even getting our money's worth. With tip it came to $100.00 for 3 people, where it should have cost 1/2 of that for what was offered.Service is friendly and coffee was brought to our table. Not planning to try again.

This place is truly a hidden gem...The food is AMAZING and the prices are very affordable... Happy Hour 4-7pm Carne Asada Fries, Bomb chicken wings, baked mussels and a couple more things all $7 each... The honey walnut shrimp... WOW!!! I can't say enough about it... The chef Hayato is great go in and ask for him, tell him Rick the barber sent you!!! Also the server Juan is very friendly and funny!!!Highly recommended 100%

I had the most delicious dinner at SOL recently, located inside of the Sonesta Redondo Beach & Marina hotel. Our group of 4 tried a variety of cocktails and food items, and everything was superb. Some highlights were the Pork Risotto, the Honey Walnut Shrimp, and the Beef Spare Ribs. On the lighter side, the Ahi Tuna Tartare was outstanding. The restaurant itself is beautiful and spacious, with lots of natural light and great views of the ocean and harbor. We started with drinks on the outdoor patio, around a fire pit (so cozy), and then moved inside for dinner. I want to give a special shout-out as well to Juan, who was both our bartender and server for the evening. He made the BEST drinks and was just a delightful human all around. Next time you're in the area, or if you're staying at the hotel, I highly recommend giving this new restaurant a try!

Not worth the price! Food was ok and the ice tea was HORRIBLE m, definitely from some syrup and had some odd sweet almond type taste (not sure how else to explain). Also felt more like soda, kind of bubbly.

The EASY READER magazine ran a restaurant review of Sol at Sonesta Hotel in Redondo Beach. The review was generally positive, so we gave it a try. There were 2 other parties in the room which is spare, without ambience or warmth, consisting of tables of 6. After waiting 15 minutes for our appetizer of calamari, the server offered a complimentary cocktail along with an explanation that the kitchen which is staffed by the renowned chef and one assistant is serving a banquet, room service, the bar food service and the advertised Asian Fusion restaurant. Not attentive service at our table.The food was passable, my companion had the shrimp dish, which was generous in proportion, I had a soup which was good and a wonton salad which was so abundant that I took home 80%. Upon our attempt to leave, the garage gate would not recognize our validated ticket, I had to return to the restaurant,then had a bartender from the lobby bar accompany me to the garage to free us. Not a satisfying end to a marginal culinary experience. To say the least, we will not return to this food service location masquerading as a restaurant.

This place is fantastic! If there was 10 stars it would get 10! The food is great, the service is on point, and the drinks are stiff! If you're looking for a neat little place right off the pier, this is it! The atmosphere is fun and fresh! We enjoyed it. It's a place for a nice date or for a family with kids!!!

What a great breakfast menu or buffet, actually stayed near here at the hilton - Redondo Beach Hotel and the food was awful. This place was open early and the service was great and they provided a reasonable variety of food to choose from. I would go here agin anytime.

The food was great and my server angel was awesome overall I had a great time and a lot of fun
