Social Hookah Lounge

I came from The District and it was a much busier vibe for me, and i wanted some place that was mellow but had good music and hookah. A quick search on Yelp and this came up. There weren't many parties upon arrival - I came on a Friday so maybe it was a one off. I personally prefer places without too many people because I hate crowds, but for the sake of this business I'm writing a review because of the service. Service was prompt, friendly, and being checked on felt genuine. I'd definitely come back. The music was good, but this seems like a fun spot for sure on busier days. The space is large enough to hold a few larger parties.

The hookah lounge is since, centrally located close to freeway, street parking access. The ambiance is nice, it's a whole vibe. The servers are polite, professional and attentive to customers needs and the hookah is flavorful, the hookah is a tad bit pricy, I would love it if the prices dropped (Just my thoughts) I would definitely return nonetheless. There is a local taco spot on the corner where I went to purchase food.

Let me start off with saying that I literally never ever leave negative reviews because every employee has a bad day which should not be reflected on the business, but when I say the employee Lala needs to be fired. Management needs to take heat to this. I came here with myself and seven of my girls to have a good time. The place was literally empty, but because I used to go to this place before they shut down I wanted to give it another shot However the employee Lala literally was the most rudest employee ever that I've encountered. I am a black business professional who hires, evaluates, coaches, and ultimately terminates employees who do not align with business goals, morals, and professionals values. There is no way that this business will grow with employees like Lala on the staff. I met the owners years ago who is a young, black, eager, ambitious professional. I don't know if this is still his business or not, but if it is, I know this is not who he would want to represent his business. And in my professional opinion, Lala needs to be terminated immediately. Again, one person cannot represent a business, but if a business continues to keep a person on their staff, then the business shares that person bias, morals, and goals. At the end of day, this is not a business that I would ever patron again as long as there are people such as Lala on the staff.

If I could give 0 stars I would. The absolute WORST hookah bar I have ever been to. Walked in on a Friday night. It was completely empty so one would think service would be decent and swift. It was neither. We ordered two drinks, a shot of tequila and a vodka soda. The vodka soda came in two separate plastic cups and with no ice. Since when is ice extra? The hookah took THIRTY MINUTES to come and was absolute trash. When I got up to see why it was taking so long, I discovered that they were in a back alley making the coals. Huh? Do not waste your time or your money. Piss poor hookah, piss poor drinks, and piss poor customer service.
