If you're looking for a chill spot with sexy vibes, killer food, and cocktails that don't break the bank, Serendipity in South Redondo Beach is the ultimate go-to. Let's start with the cocktails--not only are they deliciously well-crafted, but they're also super affordable for South Bay standards. A mimosa (or two) while enjoying the ocean breeze? Yes, please. Now, onto the food. The French toast is the perfect balance of crispy edges and soft, sweet indulgence, topped with just the right amount of syrupy goodness. The Greek omelette is packed with fresh veggies and tangy feta, and the mushroom crepes are straight-up decadent, creamy, and oh-so-satisfying. Everything tastes like it was made with care and attention to detail. The vibe? Effortlessly cool and unpretentious. Whether you're catching up with friends or savoring a quiet solo brunch, the laid-back atmosphere and friendly service make this spot feel like your own secret retreat. If you're in South Redondo Beach and crave good food, inexpensive drinks, and a chill, welcoming ambiance, Serendipity is where you want to be. Don't sleep on this spot--it's your new weekend obsession!

Serendipity is located in the old Ortega 120 location. They have a huge space indoors and they did a great job with the remodel by making it look more modern, bright, and inviting. Love the pastel pink and green colors--you could host a great Wicked theme party here. It would make a great spot for a bridal shower, baby shower or a girly birthday brunch. When I came here on a Wed for brunch with a friend, the place was pretty quiet and empty. I saw a couple people here with their laptops getting work done. It seems like a very versatile space that can be quiet in the morning and louder in the evenings when they have happy hour.Reservations are easy to make on Yelp and parking is also plentiful and free in the garage next door. Love the parking situation here!! Doesn't get easier than this in Redondo Beach! They have an extensive menu with very typical American diner breakfast and lunch entrees--pancakes, breakfast burritos, waffles, sandwiches, etc. I got the chilaquiles and my friend got their pastrami reuben sandwich which came with what looked like house-made thinly sliced chips. Portions are HUGE here but the food was just mehh okay--average. I also tried their vanilla cappuccino which was pretty good. I noticed they offer bottomless mimosas too if you're interested in that. Service was just okay. For the food and service alone, I would give it 3 stars and probably wouldn't come back. But for the ambience and ease of reservations/parking, I bump it up to 4 stars. The place could benefit from doing a separate afternoon high tea menu or a party package for bridal showers, events, etc.

Been here twice, once with the hubby and once with a group of 6.Ambience is cafeteria style with green and pink pastel decor. The restaurant is large with indoor and outdoor seating and a bar. Sunday had a cool blues duo. It's very loud that we have to speak up to have conversations. Price points do not match up with the atmosphere. They were probably understaffed on the weekend we visited as the service was a bit slow and you have to ask to refill your water as the servers are not paying attention and have many tables to tend to.Food was okay yet underseasoned. No salt or pepper shakers on the table either.Parking is easy in the structure next door. The South Bay area has a plethora of dining options. This spot is so underwhelming and does not warrant a 3rd visit.

This Serendipity location is the opposite of serendipitous--it's hostile and discriminatory. From the moment my family and I walked in, we were met with hostility and thinly veiled prejudice. The bartender's comment about happy hour, while we were clearly interested in the full menu, felt like a way to demean us and our intentions. The uncomfortable stares from staff and other patrons, being seated in a poorly lit area, and the blatant disregard for our presence by the bartender all contributed to a hostile and unwelcoming environment. To be accused of leaving without paying before we even had a chance to order is not only absurd but speaks volumes about the deeply ingrained biases within this establishment. We left feeling humiliated and unwelcome. This experience was a stark reminder that in this day and age, people of color are still subjected to discriminatory treatment. I urge anyone considering this location to think twice--your money and patronage are better spent at establishments that value respect and inclusivity. We went to this location Sunday 16 Feb 2025 @ 6pm. I would like a response back from management.

Serendipity is a classy, modern brunch restaurant that serves dinner and boasts an amazing Happy Hour selection. There's a myriad of seating inside and on the dog-friendly patio. It's conveniently located on PCH in Redondo Beach and has a parking structure next door. The breakfast menu has typical items like eggs, pancakes, waffles, crepes, chilaquiles, and huevos rancheros. They accept reservations, but weren't necessary as we were seated immediately upon arrival. Happy Hour is 2-6 PM daily with $5 wells, margaritas, and beers. Food ranges from Poke Nachos and Asian Chicken Salad to Black Bean Hummus and Tempura Zucchini. We had the "Make It" Combo, Chicken & Mushroom Crepes, Fried Chicken Sandwich & Salad, and Poke Nachos. All of it was delicious, hot, and fresh. The Serranos in the nachos were very spicy and made me sweat. The portions were generous and this was the best Happy Hour I've ever encountered. Kylie and team were very attentive and delivered excellent service!

With the beautiful new glowup from Serendipity with lots of light and pretty colors, I realized this is really a very large space! There's another indoor patio area that would be great for bridal or baby showers. We came in right when it was open and we were the first to arrive. It started to fill up while we were there. I believe you can just walk in without a reservation. The menu looked great and I would like to come back to check out their dinner/Happy Hour. Since it was brunch, I ordered the Pastrami Egg Sandwich with Onion rings. I enjoyed my meal and would consider coming back although service was a little slow. Parking is available in the structure next to the restaurant.

Serendipity Restaurant is a new casual restaurant along PCH. Parking has gotten a bit challenging in this mixed use development, but we were able to find a spot. The bright and cherry restaurant is large. We were fortunate to be seated immediately on Sunday for brunch as there were just two of us. In addition to the large dining room, there is a large patio. The menu has lots of breakfast items as well as salads and sandwiches. It is not very friendly for the gluten intolerant. I had a tasty egg white omelet with fresh fruit, which was a generous portion. It was a bit underseasoned, but it was tasty. The wines are super low priced for a restaurant (smaller mark up), which is nice. There are not tons of selections, but they are good. The restaurant is VERY loud. A group would be challenging. Service was meh - they rarely come by but I didn't need much either.I am curious to try happy hour - maybe the service is better than at brunch.

Serendipity took over the Ortega 120 location in South Redondo. I came in during their happy hour (2:00-6:00pm) to sample some of their menu items. The fried chicken sandwich was actually pretty good that came with a nice side salad. I couldn't resist ordering the truffle fries which was plentiful and tasty. The place was a little quiet on a weekday. I sat at the bar and service was good. Serendipity is one of the few places where their happy hour starts early which makes for a great late lunch place. Covered parking is free in the structure for the retail complex. Overall, Serendipity provides a fairly decent happy hour menu.

The food was okay, but nothing special. Not bad. Not amazing. Nothing particularly interesting or unique. Price is very high for what it is.The restaurant itself is dressed up to look fancy, and the prices match. The quality of food is comparable to chain restaurants or a free breakfast at a 3-star hotel.Service was friendly, though a bit slow. There were tons of workers in there standing around not doing much. It was kinda deserted for a Saturday morning when you'd think a place like this would be busy. The location is good and there is free parking inside.

I was greeted and seated by Gabriel right away. The owner stopped by andvmade me aware of the happy hour menu that is available. Gabriel was also my server and very attentive to my drink. I has the spinach scramble, hash browns and pancakes. All were hot and delicious. I will be back. The music was good too.
