Came to seafood cove on 3/1/25 around 11am and once we signed in for their waiting list, our wait was projected at about 28-35 mins. We only waited about 15 mins for a party of 2. There were bigger groups ahead of us and they got everyone in quickly! So don't let the "wait times" deter you! Once we were seated, they serve tea and it was delish, I'm a big tea drinker. We picked out our items and they came in fairly quickly. I observed how attentive each worker was with their guests, nothing impresses me more tbh. Had to follow up on a couple of items due to their busyness they came out a bit later. I know that to some would consider this to be a con but it was the interaction of the staff with us that made our experience fantastic. They followed up on the items, kept good communication with us and showed concern and kindness. That's priceless to me! Food was absolutely top notch. Their har gow were HUGE and fresh! Shomai were also massive and seasoned so well -- texture was perfect. My husband loves Chinese Broccoli, theirs was done right! It's casual and familial which to me is quintessential dim sum. Nothing like the sweet sounds of clinking dishes, the bustle of movement and friends and family chatting -- no music needed! We'll be back!

Super solid dim sum spot! Saw that it was super popular so wanted to give it a try. Was a little scared of potential wait time, but it wasn't bad at all (around 1:30pm on a Sunday). It is a large restaurant and people eat quickly since service is quite quick also. The food came out quickly and it was all fresh and flavorful, really no complaints. Just a good classic dim sum spot. It is not your usual carts though, you place an order and they bring it all out for you. I would definitely return as this place exceeded my expectations!

Outstanding! This review is for "to go" dim sum ordered for pickup on the website. My favorite was the bean curd wrapped meat, followed by the sui mai, as the best of our order. We also got rice noodle w/beef, rice noodle w/shrimp, taro that was pan fried with green onion and egg, fried taro (looks like a football), baked char sui baos, and custard egg tarts. We also ordered the special tofu (fried with sauce that had garlic, green onion, spices, etc.) that was really tasty (but not the best for takeout). The beef chow fun was a little overcooked and burnt but it was still good. The food is delicious (and a little pricey. Each dish (4 dumplings) is $6.19, at this time. The total was over $100 for 5 people, which is not bad for dim sum which will be $20 to $25 to $30 pp depending on what you order. Food was ready in 30 min from my order. Lots of little containers to separate everything. Warning that this restaurant is located in a large packed, crowded, hard to find parking shopping center on Bolsa. It's on second floor. When I went to pickup, lots of people were waiting in line for dim sum table service (and of course it was a Sat at noon, crowded.)Would totally recommend and come again to eat in person or takeout.

This is a yummy dim sum place that I really enjoy. The food is consistently good. Maybe that's why it's also very crowded on the weekends. They don't take reservations, so you'll have to come in person to put your name down on the waiting list. Weekend lunch hours can have a wait time of 30 minutes to 1.5 hours, depending on when you go. * Shrimp Har Gow 5/5 - Juicy shrimp wrapped in soft, pillowy rice paper. The skin wasn't too thick which I like. * Xiu Mai 4/5 - The inside filling was flavorful. The outside wrapping had no flavor and was plain. First time this happened, so kinda odd that they forgot to season it. * Shrimp Rice Paper 5/5 - Juicy shrimp wrapped in soft, silky rice paper.* Fried Shrimp Balls 4.5/5 - Tasty fried shrimp fillings covered in crispy breadings.

Such a nice experience today. There were lots of ppl waiting for tables. We entered onto the waitlist and it'll be 20mins or so for a table for 2. While we were waiting for our table, a little girl came in and was getting ready to help seat ppl. Cute little thing who is the owner's grandchild or something. She sat us down and we watched her call and seat after us, not shy and so in command. We were seated and food order was taken. Ordered a bunch of dim sum and all were promptly brought out. Food was good and quite enjoyable. All the servers were very attentive to refill our tea pot a few times. Definitely will return when we are in town.

I've been a loyal frequent diner for over 35 years, despite only being 21. Time travel? Maybe....What's not a maybe is how this place is always packed. I used to make my brother get on the waitlist an hour early just to avoid standing around, but now, I've mastered the art of early mornings and show up when they open--because I'm a grown-up... and apparently we don't need sleep like we used to. The dim sum here is still chef's kiss and legit--authentic, fresh, and straight-up delicious. It's definitely hands down. the best in Orange County, but the one thing I miss? The push carts. No more grandma wheeling over steamed buns to my table with a smile. Now it's just menus and apps, but hey, at least the food is still killer. It's worth the switch, but I'll always remember the good old cart days...Oh by the way, they recently updated it a lil. It's not as "hole in the wall" like it used to be. It's a little nicer. So you can go ahead and bring your non Asian friends. They won't be scared.

Best dim sum in the area! I last came here was last weekend and the restaurant was decorated for Lunar New Year. While most items were available to order from the staff, the carts were going around with the rice rolls. Everything was delicious. I tried the footballs for the first time and boy have I been missing out-- they're so good!! Some other must haves are the siu mai, sticky rice lotus leaf, bbq pork buns (steamed or baked), braised honey comb tripe with pork blood, fried shrimp balls, and Chinese donut.

We came just before they were about to finish up with the dim sum menu so we placed our order for a few things: siu mai, leek dumplings, soup dumplings, steamed shrimp rolls, calamari, sesame balls, and more.My dad doesn't really eat dim sum so we got Chinese broccoli, Thai pineapple fried rice, and fried fish. Everything was tasty! The only thing that was a bit bland was the Thai pineapple fried rice. Even for 5 of us, it was still a lot of food. We had tons of leftovers.Service was quick. Food comes fast. And servers are around to flag down. They made sure to refill our kettle for tea.Parking is difficult here. There are a ton of shops here. We found a spot a bit aways from the building but not far. One plus is that the wait isn't long. We got seated right away. Maybe because dim sum was almost over.

This is one of the most popular places in OC to get dim sum, located in the heart of Westminster's Little Saigon. If you plan to visit on the weekend during prime dim sum hours, be prepared to wait awhile. They don't take reservations, primarily on account of the fact that there are people literally pouring out the doors to get in. Though typically the waits are not too long since this is a high-volume operation and people tend to move through very quickly. Last time we went they only had a few carts circulating, and the primary way to order was through your server. This is usually the best way to get your dim sum relatively quickly without waiting for the carts to come to you. One benefit to them being so busy is that whatever dim sum you order, it will be fresh and hot. The shiu mai is one of my favorites and is pretty tasty here. Though you can't really go wrong with anything. The dining room itself is just a large room that has tables of all different sizes. There are larger tables for bigger groups with turntables in the center, on down to two-person tables. The atmosphere is one of a busy busy cafe and nothing too fancy. But that (hopefully) isn't what you would be looking for by coming here. You will probably also spend quite awhile looking for a parking spot as the lot is only about 60% the size it should be. So plan some time for that as well when you go.Five stars and this should be on your list to try! It's also great for special occasions.
