Julius was at the helm today when we visited and he certainly has the gift of hospitality! This cafe is small, with a homey vibe and thoughtful menu. Strong coffee, savory bites and a few good laughs were just what my friend and I needed. We will be back soon - no buts about it!!

Torrance Food Crawl #430Sausalido Cafe is a small family-owned restaurant with a menu that is primarily Pan-Asian fusion but has worldwide coverage: Asian (noodles and more), American (breakfasts and sandwiches), coffees, ice creams, smoothies, fruit bowls, and more.I've primarily tried the Asian dishes. The Dragon Fried Rice (hint - the word 'dragon' might be a clue that this is spicy) was a very nice basic fried rice dish. You can adjust the spice level to your liking. Everything here is prepared on the spot, so they can easily adjust the spice levels or contents if you have special dietary requirements.The Dragon Noodles (basically Pad Thai) was excellent, slightly sweet, with lots of noodles and vegetables. I ordered this with mild spice. When the owner checked on me, I made a comment that it was mild, but very nice tasting. He provided a sample of their dry spice that I could add to my meal, commenting that the spices came from several different areas, including Asia and Africa. I had trouble placing the spice, but when I heard that part of the blend came from Africa, I understood my confusion.The sandwich and breakfast items have been solid, with traditional American choices.There are numerous fruit and sweeter drinks on the menu, which I haven't tried for personal health reasons.I've usually been here in the afternoons when it was fairly quiet, but the place gets busier on Saturday morning. Service has always been personal, friendly, and helpful.This is the type of restaurant I like, a small family-owned one with a menu that isn't the same as every other restaurant.

My boyfriend and I came and ordered breakfast takeout and the food did not disappoint! We ordered the French toast combo that came with eggs and bacon, we also paid a little extra to add hash browns to it. The food tasted like it was made fresh and had that home-cooking feel. Our favorite was the strawberry mango smoothie that we ordered! It tasted like real fruits instead of the usual artificial syrups. The staff were super sweet and came out to talk to us while we were waiting for our food. I would definitely come back to try their other smoothies and food on their menu!

1st things 1st...loved the fast and friendly service. Bad service is a major pet peeve for me. Even if the food is just ok, service makes up for it. However, the food was good really good. My Picky wife said, " oh we gotta come here again". The coffee and espresso really hit too. Lastly, it was a great value for the money. Do yourself a favor and give this place a shot. You won't be disappointed.

If you're not coming here you're missing out!After a great breakfast experience my friend and I finally found the time to stop in for lunch!As before, the food was amazing! My friend is a "breakfast anytime" kinda guy so he had the bacon and egg panini (he said it was heaven) with an ice tea. And I had the pad Thai (dragon noodles with chicken) and an iced coffee with cream! I didn't add spice to my noodles (it was 90+degrees today) and knew it would be too much heat. The iced coffee was perfectly brewed. I could feel the caffeine and loved it! If the restaurant was on my way to work I'd stop in everyday for a panini and coffee!Great service! Friendly owner who asked how we were enjoying our food, asked about the flavors, and just checked in, a lovely trio of good humans can be found here working to give you a great experience.There is a lot more on the menu I want to try, the acai bowls looked so good along with other breakfast and lunch items.Go for breakfast, go for lunch!

The place is small, but the food is great and the customer service is even better. My family and I went today for brunch. My daughter had the breakfast bagel, that is perfect size for a kid. My son had some tenders and my husband and I did the avocado toast. Food was right on point. My husband and I had the best lavender oat milk lattes ever at the cafe. Who I assume to be the owner and the cook came out and chatted with us. He was very kind and nice. After we left, my daughter realized she left something behind. We called the restaurant and it wasn't inside, but the owner went out of his way to go check the parking lot in front. He found her things. That was super kind of him. The food was great, so we would have already come back. But the customer service was above and beyond what we expected. Now we will definitely be back .

On the weekend morning, my husband suggested we go to a café for breakfast, and we came here. It's a small family-owned Asian fusion café, and I had the breakfast panini with avocado and tomato from the breakfast menu. The panini had a crispy exterior and was filled with plenty of scrambled eggs, and the rose of avocado and tomato was perfect for breakfast. All the breakfast paninis include cheese, scrambled eggs, and a secret sauce. It was so big that I took half of it home. I would love to come back for breakfast again.

Ordered cheese steak sandwich and a chicken dish for my wife, good food and great service.

The food was absolutely amazing. The waffles were soft in the middle but had the perfect crunch on the outside. The brown sugar boba tea was also great. Had the perfect amount of sweetness. The service was also great! Will definitely come again.
