Such a fantastic addition to the Long Beach Vegan scene! I went by several times before I was able to actually purchase items, due to the high popularity and demand making it a real time commitment with massive lines! Luckily for me, I was able to find semi short lines twice and must admit the wait was short. The service was very fast, the staff there are super nice and friendly! I tried pretty much everything I could get my hands on, so I have by now tried a fair bit of items, just missing the weekend specials. My favorite items so far: corn bread; Ube coffee cake; Champorrado Cake slice; Poptarts!

This cute little place has the most delicious bakery items around here.Non-vegans will not even know that everything here is vegan! We visited this place for the first time and got greedy, lol and ordered a lot! Nothing disappointed us. We went there around 8.30am and there was already a long waiting line outside the place. We were told that many items run out quickly and we could see why.I can't remember the names of what all ordered but I will try and describe them. We ordered the pandan pudding, (ube pudding ran out just in front of us, wanted to try that too), the ube and pandan cinnamon rolls, a cheesy bun, sliders, a scone and I can't describe how much we loved and enjoyed eating them! This place just might become our staple bakery from now on. They are vegan so yayyyy! One drawback was that lot of plastic waste and they are sold in to-go containers. I wish, we had some other alternatives that is affordable for them too.

***Just to preface, this review is solely to give feedback to the business/buyer of each item as a non-vegan consumer who enjoys occasionally eating vegan (I'm not a fan of knocking stars for new small businesses!) Saw this opened up down the street and realized they were AA owned - woooh! Got to the bakery just before 8am with a long line already going down the block. Luckily didn't have to wait more than 15 min., with everything we ordered costing around $40. Blueberry Corn Bread Bibingka - my favorite of all the items we ordered! Moist, not too sweet, and truly tasted of all the flavors anticipated. Wish I grabbed more of these :) Black Sesame Bun - was hoping there would be a bit more filling to ensure the black sesame flavor came through. I honestly was only able to taste the icing which unfortunately didn't have any black sesame flavor. On the flip side, the dough was delicious, very soft and fluffy (edges of the bun could be considered borderline dry, especially since there was no icing/filling to reach those first few bites)Pandan Cinnamon Bun - same comment as the black sesame bun, was hoping there would be more pandan flavor. I'm not sure I'd be able to tell if there was any pandan in this if it wasn't green. This however had a good amount of "filling" with especially strong notes of cinnamon. Because of the amount of filling/icing, I didn't find this to be dry Black Sesame Scone - same comment as the roll, more black sesame flavor please! This was probably my least favorite of the bunch, as I thought the texture was too dry for my preference and would be best enjoyed reheated with a hot bev. With that being said, I've never had a vegan scone!Pan De Coco - one of the higher items on my rank list! The pan itself is great, especially as a vegan enriched dough. One thing to note - was surprised to see this was actually ube & coconut, not just coconut (but not mad at it!). Filling had great texture from the coconut flakes. Expect something more paste-like than custard. Ube Malasada - delicious, and again, especially for a vegan enriched dough. Tasted exactly like I thought it would. Filling was rich and custardy. Monggo Hopia - huge fan of mung bean so I had high hopes for this one. Honestly thought it was also a bit dry and could use some more of the mung bean filling. The dough itself was cake-like, and could also use a tiny bit more salt, if any, to help bring out the flavor. Honest Rating - 3/5 Rating for Vegan Pastries - 4.5/5

I not only love San & Wolves because they make delicious specialty baked goods but because they are located right by my work. The only things I hate about them is they quickly sell out of items fast and they close at 3pm. They also close on Mondays. I couldn't get what I wanted even though I got there in the morning. Also they have a line. I got some items to try that they had left. Most of the items were good. The pandan cake with chocolate frosting was good but the cake part was a tad dry. Everything else was good and moist. You can order cakes from them which I want to get eventually. I really want to try some of the ube stuff but because I work at 8am and don't get out until after 3 (like most people) I don't know when I can ever come back.

It's so awesome to see more and more Filipino-owned businesses pop up but also vegan spots! While I am not vegan, I am sadly (not by choice) dairy-free. So I was excited to visit and try out the cheezy ube pan del sal and cheeszy topped ensaymada. Of course, I ended up getting more baked goods than I had planned! Here's my review of the whole experience:Service, Ambiance, & Customer Service - 5/5- Located on a cute and charming corner on 4th Street in LB- Street parking only but I found zero issues- Small space = Space is filled with yummy baked breads & sweets- Warm & super friendly staff!Cheeszy Ube Pan De Sal & Ensaymada - 3.7/5- As mentioned, I am not vegan and I am dairy free against my will. With that being said, it's been tough for me to find a vegan cheese that I enjoy. However, the vegan cheese here is probably the best I've had. I do wish the dough was more chewy for both. Also, perhaps if there was more cheese inside the Ube Pan De Sal. I recommend warming both up.Regular Pan De Sal - 3.6/5- Flavor is on point. Similar thoughts as written above, I just wish it was more doughy/chewy. It would've also been awesome if it was warm when ordered, especially at opening time. Cornbread Bibingka - 5/5- YES. It was everything I wanted it to be. This was my favorite order! Next time I will definitely get more and try the blueberry and regular flavor. Monggo Hopia - 3/5- I know different regions of the Philippines make things differently but I was expecting a more flaky and soft filo dough filling. The hopia dough was thick and crunchy. I feel it didn't compliment the dense monggo filling. However, flavor-wise it was solid.Bitso Bitso (crunchy chewy goodness on a stick) & Bicho Bicho (sugar twisted donut) - 5/5- Both were so good and so spot on! I would definitely order again. It also paired perfectly well with the Barko coffee! Buko Pop Tart (coconut) 4.5/5- I love pop tarts and I love coconut. It's a huge pop tart as well. I loved it! Highly recommend getting there 30 mins before they open. They run out of items quick!

I have loved San & Wolves for years visiting them at various pop ups! Always unique & tasty. The purple from ube, green from pandan, and black from black sesame always make their treats so visually appealing. I learned from their Instagram story that people have begun lining up as early as 6:30am (it's they're opening weekend for the public) so my friend and I showed up around around 6:35am to grab a spot. We were the third group in line and before the doors opened at 7:30am, there were already more than 50 people in line behind us! The sun shined on the other side of the street, so dress warm up you're planning to arrive early and wait in line. They had a wonderfully organized system to help with how busy it is. They'd let one-two groups in at a time depending on size. One door for entering and one for exiting! Great selection of pastry types and flavors. I have tried many of their treats before so today I got a slice of cassava cake, a slice of ube cake, hopia (mung bean filled), and cheesy ensaymada. My ranking of deliciousness: ube cake, hopia, cassava cake, then ensaymada. Very nice, positive, happy staff! Wishing San & Wolves Bakeshop a super successful time in Long Beach Yay for a vegan shop!

So delicious! As someone that doesn't eat dairy I ADORE a vegan bakeshop, and on top of that it's Filipino?! Bless. I waited in line in the rain for these goodies and it was well worth the wait. They def sold out before the day ended and I can see why. The flavors of their desserts are insanely delicious! I managed to grab the ube cup, a dark chocolate crinkle cookie, and a mung bean paste dessert! All were perfectly not too sweet. I drove to the water and enjoyed my pastries while staring into the abyss and pondering for hours. Truly a magical morning. Will be back to try their coffee and other drinks!!

Love this place everything is 10/10 and so happy I now get to experience Filipino baked goods as a vegan I only wish they promoted its vegan somewhere outside the bakery, I've been driving past this place daily for months and figured I will go with my Pinoy friends when it opens and just get a coffee. So of course I was beyond stoked to find out it's entirely vegan !! If a vegan influencer I follow hadn't posted about it I would've never known it's vegan. Again no complaints I just want all vegans to know it's a place for us I see the business being highly successful and a new LB favorite ty for bringing this to our wonderful city we're so happy to have you here
