It's been awhile writing reviews worth writing about. You want dim sum quality without the wait? Come check this place out! Came here for a date and got a table in less than 5 mins especially during prime time for dim sum. I wished I had taken pics but when it all came out, I just dove right in lol! You don't have to wait for a cart to come to your table. There's a menu on the table and you check what you want and the server will pick it up and within 5 mins you have all your dim sum. It's definitely a new take from the traditional rolling carts. However, I do enjoy the rolling carts bc they allow you to digest your food and see if you're actually still hungry to order more. The noise level is like a typical restaurant but not as loud as like seafood capital. Here you can actually hear the person you're with without yelling. It's a strip mall with lots of parking but it's always full. But I found out there's plenty in the back with straight hallway through the middle to get to all the restaurants. The outside has many other cafes and boba places to enjoy after a meal. So if you want dim sum quick, fresh, and easy. This is the place!!

I loved this place. The dim sum was delicious. The restaurant is clean, looks very nice inside. I had dinner February 28. I was the only one in my party that had the spare ribs. We'll those ribs had me me hospitalized for 2 days. I would think twice before considering this restaurant.

Locally this place has the best dim sum in my opinion. Whenever I'm craving some dim sum I come here to get my fix. The Shumais , Hargrows, pineapple custard pastries, shrimp noodle rolls are my go to when I come here. I've never been disappointed and they always come out piping hot and fresh. I like that the Shumais are big compared to other places and they give you 5 instead of 4. The service is great, friendly staff members, fast and efficient. The ambiance is great, clean and bright location. Lots of seating however during peak hours there could be a wait. Overall, my go to place for delicious and authentic dim sum.

I miss the days when Sam Woo had a chokehold on every Asian plaza in Southern California. Now I'll settle for any type of Sam Woo situation.I've been to Sam Woo Cafe several times for dim sum and each time is just as good as the previous. They serve dim sum all day so that keeps things nice and fresh. Everything I've ordered has been pretty solid and they do really good versions of my favorites. The pork and shrimp shiu mai ($7.25 for 5 pcs) is nice and plump with plenty of mushroomy flavor. I also love, love, love the fried golden shrimp balls ($7.25). They're round shrimp balls deep fried in a light batter. They are crispy and delightful.I'll definitely be back to try their dinner menu which includes Hong Kong cult favorites.

I was so wowed by this place! The waitlist is constantly updated and monitored by the older gentleman in the front. Service is fast and they're running around getting orders out as it's really busy. I had few items like the baked pork buns, chicken shumai, rice noodle and beef, chow mien, and the wontons in chili. There were some items I had never tried before but I would get them again. Some were not my cup of tea nevertheless I wanted to try it. For dumplings and other entrees I would definitely recommend but there is a wait. Additionally, the Thai tea was so darn good. I would come back just to get that to be honest. It was loud but busy with people eating and talking. It felt very traditional Chinese style set up. Bigger parties would get the large round tables but those are limited. Luckily we were only 3 and they have child high chairs.

This is a solid spot for dim sum. A pro tip: if you're planning to visit on weekends, arrive before 10 am as the crowd starts to build up after that. In terms of food, I would rate this place a solid 10. However, like many Asian restaurants, the service can be hit or miss.I visited with a large group recently, and since we arrived early, the service was prompt. However, as the place got busier, the waitstaff became a bit overwhelmed. Some of our orders never arrived, and despite flagging down a staff member, we kept being told it would be ready in six more minutes. Eventually, we decided to just ask for the check. There seemed to be a bit of a language barrier, which was manageable, but I didn't appreciate the attitude from one of the waiters. That said, I would return for the food. Everything we had was very good, and I agree with many fellow Yelpers that their chicken feet are excellent. I'm very happy to have found a good dim sum place closer to home for weekend visits.

If you're looking to get your Dim Sum fix without the hustle & bustle of carts, Sam Woo Cafe is the perfect quick cafe to get yo craving on. The portions are perfect & tastes more fresh than most dim sums I've tried. The Shrimp noodle, Shumais, & dumplings were juicy & delicious.... Legit Dim sum fairly-priced IMO. The wait isn't as long as you'd wait at a regular Dim Sum restaurant so that was nice. And the ambiance was modern, clean with a nice touch of culture ... even the bathrooms were clean! Next time I'm craving Dim Sum and do t want all the cart fuss, I know to come here now.

5 stars for the BEST dim sum chicken feet anywhere including San Gabriel Valley. 4 stars everything else -- har gow, tea, portugese egg custard, bbq pork pastry, shanghai soup dumpling (lots of broth!). Only 3 stars for slow service (seriously short staffed here).Unlike Lunasia down the street, this place has zero ambiance, but I think the dim sum is better and cheaper. A nice new addition to the crowded Cerritos foodie scene.

Quality has gone down the hill since last year. So disappointed, from the best dim sum to mediocre. Will not go there again. I was there yesterday.

Came at a good time today (Saturday, 11:10 am), as people started coming in right after us/line formingThe menu paper has helpful photos, you mark which items you want, and the delicious food comes to you! Food is DELICIOUS, I prefer Sam Woo Cafe over Lunasia for a few reasons: the food at SWC is AWESOME. they do NOT charge you extra for condiments like Lunasia does! Service was great, very kind and fast servers, food came out in a timely manner (please have patience when they're busy as they're moving as quickly as they can!)This is my new favorite spot. Can't believe it took me this long to finally try Sam Woo Cafe but i am HOOKED! Looking forward to my next visit
