Ruby Thai

It's tasty! We wanted some food while at the mall. Unfortunately it's still the same fast food "Panda Express" style like two other nearby food stores. We get a choice of rice/noodles/veggie with 1-3 meat entree combo. What kinda makes it "Thai" were entrees with more heat, lemon grass, and mango. We were expecting some more Thai inspired dishes like papaya salad, curries, and stir fry noodle dishes but were satisfied with the meal nonetheless.

The good:I got Thai noodles, mango chicken, fried rice and broccoli for under $12. I thought the portion size was good and the price was fair. I got to sample free samples before choosing what I wanted. My toddler enjoyed the meal. There were multiple meat, vegetable and noodle options. The worker was super quick and efficient. The bad:The orange noodles were bland. The mango chicken didn't have much mango flavor and were also blander than orange chicken you could get from Panda Express. The fried rice was on the blander side too but I didn't mind this that much because it's nice for rice to be blander when you're eating it with flavorful meat. The interesting:They're located in the food court. The food seemed more like Chinese than Thai.

Located in the Cerritos mall food court, this place is a bit cheaper than Panda Express and you definitely get more food. The quality is not as good though.They are always offering free samples as you walk-by and that is great. Get the mango chicken, it's similar to orange chicken. The noodles and other dishes were not very good.TLDR; out of the mall food court options, it's comparable to Panda Express. You get more food for your buck but the quality is worse.

Food is very flavorful. The portions are good size. The price is very good especially for a food court. Limited entrees but what they have is very tasty. Large selection of sides. Not just limited to rice or chow mein. Give them a try

Save your money.The meat sample was delicious. But I ordered the Pad Thai. Umm, gross. It's not even pad Thai. Bummer. Save your money and go to Panda Express.I usually Yelp new places. It has three stars. I should have known.

great portion, friendly service but it's catered toward non asian people. Asian people like me wants authentic Thai food. This food is like Panda Express version of Thai food.However, I am not judging on the restaurant for that. If it makes money for the restaurant, go for it. Why did I go here then? I am not local so I had no idea where authentic Thai restaurants are in the area. I happened to be in the mall (big mistake as I am not in demographics that go to the mall) and craved Thai food. I was craving for Pad Thai. That noodle is NOT Pad Thai, beware. It's more like Chinese fry noodles. But if it's good and you like it, it's fine. Not for me when I am wanting actual Pad Thai though.

They gave away Thai chicken samples and it was good. But when I bought actual orders, there were not that many choices. Most of the menu was chicken. Also, the noodles that they had were so bad. I thought it would be like Padthai but it wasn't even close. I don't recommend this fake Thai food place and never go back. I threw away most of my food.

Every time I eat in Cerritos mall, this is my families favorite! The food is sooo good, and it's not over priced like the rest of the restaurants. The staff is so sweet and they even give you a sample of their signature dish before you buy. They also give good portions !

Ordered the Spicy Beef Noodle bowl, for the price you get a nice big to-go bowl. Beef slice were delicious, not spicy mostly, broth was tasty and noodles and veg tasted fresh. Quick service even when there was a line. The food court wasn't super packed at this time but generally, it's a busy shopping mall food court, but space was plentiful and mostly clean.
