Roscoe’s Jazz Lounge

Finally got day where they didn't have a long wait. Wife has day off so off we went to eat at roscoes in long Beach. She had never been and I haven't been back to any roscoes since I was a teenager. That was many many decades ago.Today I had the stubby with a side of chkn sausage, grits, gravy n biscuit n a chkn chili bowl n a sweet tea. Not that I need it from what the ladies say. My wife enjoyed the bug momma special scrambled eggs w cheese n onion w potatoes smothered in gravy w biscuit n unsweetened ice tea. As her first time at a roscoes n having their chkn she was very happy. She says the whole meal was delicious as was mine.The ser ing sizes are very good for the price and atmosphere.Thank you to Sholo our waitress for being so nice.Lots of parking, very nice interior n pleasant staff.

This sounded like one of those Russian matryoshka nesting doll places somewhere within a restaurant. Not as confusing as it might seem since when you walk in the restaurant is to the left while the jazz lounge is to the right. So ignore the various names Seabird Lounge, Seabreeze Lounge and Google map's depiction of a trash filled lot for the address.The seating is quite plushly comfortable. I can overlook some slightly needed upholstery repairs. It's dark enough. This is not one of the many dive bars that populate the area's streetcorners. The announcement for the Scorch Sisters was inviting. The $10 cover charge listed in one announcement turned out to be $7. We could choose our seats even though the room was well filled. The sound system was excellent as was the band."THE SCORCH SISTERS LA'S ALL FEMALE- Blues/Soul/Jazz Band. The lead singer masterfully sang some classic Ella James, and Tracey Chapman's Give Me One Reason. The biggest surprise was the great bluesy rendition of Ode to Billie Joe. The band had a great rapport with the audience.The staff, hostess and waitress, were all pleasant and the owner walked the room greeting his guests. Since I had ginger ale and bf a simple mixed drink and beer, he didn't seem horrified by our bill. He said they are reasonably priced. Given the entertainment, a great deal. Really good people, we want to return soon.

Food is bomb, I don't eat meat so I always get the sides, collard greens are the best. Jimmy was my waitor he was very attentive and super handsome. I always love the vibes here, music always on point.

Why is the place not on the Yelp map already? We were walking by and heard jazz music booming from inside and had to take a look. The place was pack at 3:00pm on a Sunday afternoon and the bad was hopping. They have specialty cocktails, beer and wine. Victoria the bartender had a fabulous sense of humor and was tons of fun. The crazy thing is that I've walked past this place so many times and never noticed it until hearing the music today!Inside is an old-timey jazz club with someone regulating lights and sound, a bouncer at the door, shaded windows, booths and tables fill of happy music lovers. Wednesday is karaoke night. Thursday R&B. Friday is blues. Saturday is jazz. Sunday is Latin Sounds. Today they had a young group of jazz musicians from City College testing the waters. Attached to Roscoe's House of Chicken & Waffles, Roscoe's Jazz Lounge is a true delight hidden under the wing of its neighboring restaurant. Don't keep walking by - come in an enjoy some jazz to warm your heart and out you in a good mood. A room off to the back let's you eat and enjoy the music. Be delighted! Stop by today!

I enjoyed the venue, but being that it is connected to and a part of Roscoes's it was quite odd that what appears as a supper club does not allow any food even their own . My service staff was amazing!

Here with friends, great performances and excellent bar service. The entertainment is excellent!, a must experience!

This place is lit on karaoke night. The vibe in this lounge is calming and lit at the same time! Plus our bartender (Victoria) is down to earth. She's not like some bartenders that are trying to up sell you she'll tell you like it is. I definitely recommend this place if you want to try something different. Also! This place closes 12:30-1am.

Fun, reasonable "Soul Food" followed by our friend Adolphus delivering great Blues in the lounge! We'll be back for more!

Good service and great live music! I watched my family and sister perform here (: The drinks tasted great and the staff were nice. It's a tighter space but still a nice spot to enjoy good music and hangout with friends or family.

The food is amazing and the bartenders/cocktail waitresses are very engaging, funny, and down to earth. Great people there.
