The food was decent and of good quality, but nothing really stood out as unique or better than what you could find at other places.THINGS TO BE AWARE OF:* They do not serve hard liquor. They only have beer, wine, and spritzers. * There is an automatic 4% surcharge added to your bill to cover the restaurant's "employer mandates," primarily funding employee benefits such as healthcare. Instead of absorbing this cost, the restaurant passes it on to customers. The service could use improvement. Our waitress only checked in to take our order and bring the bill, with no follow-ups in between. For a table of three, we shared 5 dishes and 2 spritzers, totaling around $310 before tip.If you're looking for a beautifully designed restaurant with an upscale feel, this could be a good date spot. However, when it comes to the food, service, and price, I'd much rather explore other options than return.

We were blown away by the attention to detail, food quality and especially our amazing server - Kyle. He did a great job! Everything came out so fast and we fully enjoyed ourselves. We didn't have to ask for refills and had multiple servers making sure we were taken care of. Highly recommend the lobster roll with caviar. Again, Kyle was amazing and really made this experience exceptional!

The location is breathtaking and combine that with the California sunshine this restaurant makes for an unbeatable location for brunch. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance of relaxed and elevated. I had the pleasure trying Ocean Grill with both friends and family over this last weekend. Getting a reservation was no easy feat--The reservation was booked in early January for a late February date. When I inquired as to why the limit on reservations and why no walk ins, the manager said they are still considering these initial months as a soft opening and to expect more availability in the future. While our server was very sweet and personable, we did find that the service overall needs a bit of work. The timing was off, but since the restaurant is still new, I give some grace and will believe that this well improve in the future. That said, the food is what counts and it more than made up for any service issues. We started with the grilled avocado with caviar--an unexpected pairing, but it worked perfectly. It was so good that we ended up ordering a second round. They have a whole section dedicated to Caviar which I'm eager to try more of in the future. For our mains, I ordered the Chinese Chicken Salad, my mom had the salmon with a side of asparagus, my dad went for the traditional American breakfast, and my friend had the bagel and lox. Everyone loved their dishes. My mom and I shared, and we both agreed the salmon was cooked to perfection. The asparagus was a standout--crispy and flavorful, it left me wanting more. My Chinese Chicken Salad was amazing--fresh, flavorful, and packed with chicken. The crunchiness balanced the flavors perfectly, making it my favorite of the main dishes. Both my dad and friend shared with me that they enjoyed their meals as well.I will be coming back as they looked to have a wine list that I would like to explore as well as the previously mentioned Caviar menu. I could absolutely see this being great place to meet up with some friends or a place to land to enjoy a glass of wine after some shopping. I have depended on R&D for so long I am glad to have another contenders for a pleasant meal at Fashion Island.

I recently visited RH Ocean Grill, and the setting was absolutely stunning. The view and atmosphere were breathtaking, creating a perfect backdrop for a relaxing dining experience. The ambiance was definitely a highlight--if you're looking for a laid-back atmosphere, this is the place to be.However, I was a bit disappointed by the service. It was slower than expected, and given the high demand with reservations being booked out for two months, I was surprised it wasn't more to the spectacular views. It was decent, but not as exceptional as I had hoped for a place with such a high reputation.Overall, if you're in the mood for a great vibe and relaxing atmosphere, RH Ocean Grill is a solid choice. Just don't go in expecting top-tier food or lightning-fast service.

3.5 stars.I had pretty low expectations before coming here based on the Yelp reviews, but my experience here wasn't all that bad. We had a 7:15pm reservation and were seated 15 minutes after. We killed the waiting time by getting some glasses of wine and walking around the store. Didn't love that there was a wait even with a reservation but not a big deal. The main selling point of this restaurant is obviously the vibe and the views. The space is beautiful and very grammable. We saw quite a few trying to make content for the gram. The food isn't as impressive. We were seated in the outdoor patio, which would probably be nice during the day but at night I think it would be preferable to be seated inside. Ordered the following:Oysters. - they were fine. Wasn't my favorite variety but they were fresh. Crispy artichokes - pretty tasty. I'd recommend this as a starterChinese chicken salad - I asked the server to go easy on the dressing after seeing some photos and reviews and there was still a lot of won tons. Light on flavor and a decent amount of chicken. Liked that it wasn't drenched in dressing. Salmon - cooked nicely and at the right temp, well flavored and seasoned. Prime rib dip - far from the best but this was solidDidn't really have any issues with the items we ordered. Stayed away from the expensive steaks because they seems too hit or miss. All in all pricey for the offerings. Service was a little bit slow and just average. I wouldn't claw my way back here. If you can't get a reservation right now you're not missing out on much.

Read the other reviews. Ditto to the descriptions of their experiences with the food and ambiance . Definitely like a more fancy IKEA furniture store and cafeteria experience. I imagine the sunset dinner time seating would be fantastic if we could be lucky to get a reservation again soon .

I visited RH for brunch on a Sat morning with a resy and was pleasantly surprised by my experience. I initially had low expectations for the food, assuming the restaurant was solely about the ambiance rather than the cuisine, but it far exceeded my expectations. The Rosé Spritz was light, refreshing, and delicious--no wonder it's the most popular drink in the spritz section. For starters, we ordered the Mini Lobster Rolls topped with caviar. While pricey, they were absolutely worth it--each bite was rich, flavorful, and the perfect way to start the meal. For our main dishes, we shared the American Breakfast and Prosciutto Benedict, both priced around $20. Both were satisfying and well prepared.Service was good--I had no complaints. The ambiance was open, airy, and beautifully designed, making it an ideal spot for a proper girls' brunch. I can't wait to return and try the desserts!

New place in town!!!! As a rule, I don't visit a "New" establishment nor do I pen a review, giving the Establishment the benefit of doubt. OK, so I'm breaking my rule but here's what I see.1. hot place to visit for a glass of wine or appetizer or a meal, or all of it!2. parking plentiful (its a mall. OK it's Fashion Island)3. Upscale!!!4. located on the 4th floor of the Gallery (if you go for a simple glass of wine, you can meander on the 3rd floor with your glass of wine if the lobby sofas are occupied)5.great interior furnishings (honeycomb chandeliers- I love it)6. great view (west view so you can get a great sunset if you time it right)7. interior and outdoor patio seating8. Upscale!!9. RESERVATIONS A MUSTOK, now that you know the protocol of this Establishment this was my experience:Get there before the sun sets and unless you have a reservation, you need to get your adult beverage from the walk up bar on the east side of the check in station (this is what I had to do). The beverage menu is available at the cashier (average price per glass of wine is $20). OK, once you get your beverage you can sit on their sofa lounge area (seats about 6 comfortably or, you can go down to the third floor with your glass of wine or whatever and walk around to enjoy the beauty of their products,Remember! No reservation, no food, no table.... BUT here is the trick. Put your name on Open Table (RH's reservation system of choice) and say "NOTIFY'...and voila! Adding my name to the notify list and picked a time "notify up to.... pm".... we waited as my dining partner and I sat on the 6 seater sofa making alternate plan 2.... and lo and behold a table opened up for us...Given a table outside on the west side patio, we had prime rib sandwich and fries... Go Figure!Bottom line? Great interior design, polite front of the house employees, decent food. I don't know if I would pay $30 for a dipping prime rib sandwich anywhere else but as my profile line says "I'll try anything once" End result? Pricey for what you get with the stress of having to wait for table.

Visited on 2/2We went for Sunday brunch and were so excited to check this place out as we've been counting down the months for it to open. You have the option to go up flights of stairs or there are two elevators at opposite ends on the first floor to get there. For beverages we ordered the coffee & orange juice. My boyfriend said the coffee was good and a nice portion. My orange was good, not too sweet and not too tangy. It was a decent size. For food we ordered the fried chicken sandwich, burger, and regular fries. Fries are $10 so we hoped for a big portion and were surprised that it was a big portion, super crispy! The burger had two meat patties and the lettuce + tomato were served on the side, plenty of pickles in it. The burger had a yummy flavor and was filling. The ambiance is amazing and the staff are professional and attentive. Would recommend for small groups or dates.
