Pupuseria La Favorita

Pupuseria La Favorita is a hidden gem that I discovered while exploring local businesses in the Florence Firestone area of Los Angeles. It's a small, family-owned establishment that I absolutely adore. Their specialty is making delicious filled pupusas, which are priced at around $3.50 each. Trust me, they are definitely worth the price. Recently, I placed a large order for a family reunion and they were incredibly efficient, making sure I had everything I needed, including salsa, curtido, plates, and utensils. Their attention to detail and customer care really stood out to me. If you're looking for authentic Salvadorean cuisine, I highly recommend this place.

This is my favorite pupuseria! They are quick, clean, and kind. The restaurant is good to bring groups or to take out large orders. They cook and season their food well, which distinguishes them from other places around the area. Keep in mind they are cash only and each pupusa is $1.50. Now, I come here for all pupusa cravings.

The place is very clean,the food is ok I order bistec ensebollado and the meet wasnt soft but tasted pretty good the man that serve us was very nice and friendly not too bad for my 1st time there ,I will give it a second chance

This place is small and looks like it's ran by "Tia's". But they make some good pupusas! I don't know how they make money here if the food is real inexpensive. But the quality is good. Pupusas are not to doughy, I'm not a fan of doughy pupusas and little stuffing. Here is the contrary, more stuffing and less Masa. I had a fruit water with my revuelta pupusas and overall was pretty good. Give it a shot and don't judge the neighborhood. Beware....cash only!!!

Two stars for the service. The staff was friendly and attentive. The food was below mediocre. Food pricing was better than most but given the quality of the food is rather paid more.

Food was delicious, pupusas were not greasy. Plantos con frijol and cream were prefect!Definitely going back!

I was in the area, and I wanted something different we don't have in Santa Barbara. So I parked and saw a place with pupusas (salvadorean) I yelped and saw that this place had a high rating and A health department grade. It was super easy to find parking almost right in front of it. Very low key place, they have 3-4 tables, fridge with drinks, and front register. Or son at register pretty friendly and quickly to assist with my order. It was pretty fast that I got my to go order, wrapped nicely in bags, food was good, and super reasonably priced. Only 1.50 per pupusa.

Nunca vayan a este lugar mugrosooooo la jente con Mal caracter hay una travajadora que es vien ignorante como que si esta en su rancho ya no es el mismo Dueño .Caro y con Las travajadoras todas Mal encaradas Not good business!!!!!

Fue mi primera vez visitando esta pupuseria y quedé muy satisfecho! Mi familia normalmente visita un lugar en Huntington Park pero esta vez me metí a Yelp para aver si había un lugar más cerca y me topé con La Favorita (ya le cambiaron el nombre pero se me olvidó como le pusieron lol) muy recomendado. Las pupusas están fenomenal!It was my first time visiting this pupuseria and I was very satisfied! My family usually visits a place in Huntington Park but this time I went on Yelp to see if there was a place closer and I ran into La Favorita (they changed their name but I forgot what they changed it to lol) highly recommended. The pupusas are phenomenal and the service was great :)

This place is cash only. Prices are very reasonable. The pupusas are $1.50 each and they're kind of small but for the price, you get what you pay for. I took a pic with a fork for scale. The flavor is really good, the cheese was really melty and had a nice pull to it. Their cabbage salad was fresh and crispy and they added some jalapeños to it which gave it some extra flavor.I also ordered the yucca frita con chicharron. The yucca was fried perfectly and had a nice crunch to them. The chicharron was cooked well but could've been butchered better. I had some pieces that were just meat and some that were just fat.The ensalada drink was nice. It was a fruit salad with passionfruit (maracuya)
