Pollos A La Brasas

The food came out in a reasonable amount of time. My group ordered carry out since they were closing in 30min. We wound up cutting it rather close. The food we got was a couple orders of Lomo Saltado and some chicken dishes. The chicken came out kind of dry and the for the Lomo Saltado the sauce tasted good and the steak was nicely cooked, there just wasn't enough sauce to coat the steak bits leaving it a bit bland tasting. I'm willing to try this restaurant again to give it a fair chance to see if it's better for either lunch time or earlier in the afternoon before they close. Otherwise it was just meh.

I wouldn't call 2 thighs half a chicken. At first I thought half a chicken and 2 sides for $16 is not a bad deal but this is just 2 thighs.

The food is always fresh and has a homemade taste to it which is what I look forward to every time I return. I've visited Peru multiple times over the years and I can confidently say this restaurant is authentic as it gets. The service is great and always happy to take my order. The restaurant itself is perfect for a quick place to eat.

Salty food!!!! Ordered caldo de gallina (2) and arroz chaufa, both plates salty. Made a complain to the owner and she said gonna talk to cook.Ask for the check and she charge us full price and asker if she gonna discount some plates and she said No. well that's the last time we are going to visit her business she lost 2 customers.Sometimes owner think about their profits and forget about the customer. I will go to Ají verde restaurant better service and food is really good. Believe me.Cheff Perrin

Our first time here and everything is delicious!!!! I had to stop eating and write a good review. Staff are so friendly! We will definitely be coming back.

Ohhhh myyyyy goshhhhhh! I tried their Lomo Saltada.. it was un-be-lie-vable!!Will definitely go back with all my friends! And also im asian and i eat everything with rice and that super sweet waitress ( forgot her name.. but i will go back and put here again) gave me free extra rice too! . ! How awesome is that! If you're in the Downey area do yourself a favor and try this place!!!! I ABSOLUTELY make this my stop EVERY TIME I'm around the area. This is AUTHENTIC and DELICIOUS!!! I ALWAYS get the Lomo saltado with fries NOT noodles! Tender marinated beef, grilled purple onions and tomatoes, fries and a scoop of white rice all floating in what I can only describe as "crack sauce" *drools*. TIPS: Don't eat the rice as it comes, mix it into the juicy crack sauce. Also, mix the green and yellow sauce at the table together on the SIDE of your plate and then dip each bite. The reason I mix it as opposed to just drizzling it on top is bc they taste better together AND the green sauce is rather spicy so mixing it separately will allow you to get the exact combination you like. Other popular dishes I see ordered are the roasted chicken and the "caldo de gallina", I stick to the Lomo Saltado though bc I just can't imagine anything else tasting as amazing!!! It's a small restaurant so be prepared to wait for food and a seat during busy times, which is most every time. So worth it though!!!!

Chicken flavor is really good the green sauce is a bit spice but right kind of spicy.

I went to the location first of all they don't give you no bread no soup no tortillas and it's also false advertisement. They advertise it as $11 for a pollo saltado and I got two of those and it came out to over $50. I do not recommend this place. Only thing that was good was the sauce. I'm like that.
