Polanco is a fine dinning Mexican eatery and steak house. It is fantastic. The place is ever so pretty, inside and out. Parking is easy.Once seated a wonderful server comes to get your drink order and you have time to read the menu. The service here is great. They take good care of you and clearly want you to be happy and comfortable. The food is just the best. We have been a few times now. We love their mussels and all of their seafood. Their steak and lobster is prefect. This is fine dinning so it is pricey, but it is all worth it. They have a full bar and a nice wine list. They have anything you might want for dinner. Their tacos, beef or fish are amazing and we love their salads. Our favorite are their steaks. Cooked exactly as ordered and some of the sides are great. Any steak is great and as a group we had tried them all. Their filet is my favorite. You will love this place.

Avoid this restaurant at all cost, you will be disrespected and not treated with the courtesy you deserve. The restaurant CEO and owner is Daniel Godinez, a well known chef in O.C. and under the umbrella of the Ayres family. Polanco steakhouse restaurant is run very poorly by Karla Serrano which she is also the director of food and catering and wedding events for the Ayres hotel. I was excited to take my wife to Polanco steakhouse since she is from Mexico city and I wanted her to feel close like if she was back home. I made reservations on Valentine's day, we get there 20 minutes early and checked in. That's when the first set of red flags started to show by Karla which she happened to be at the front desk. There was no eye contact at all, music was super loud and she kept asking me to repeat myself becuase she could't hear me and still no eye contact. She finally finds my reservation and says, "there are a few people in front of you" I said, why that should matter? I have a reservation, she said they were running behind. Karla told us to wait in the hotel main lobby which it was already crowed it and no place to sit. 40Minutes went by and nothing, I got up to check and she said we were next. We Waited another 20 minutes and she called four other guest names but not us after she said were next. At the point my wife went up to talk to her and Karla told my wife they ran out of food... ran out of food?? When was she planning to tell us? Keep in mind that the lobby was still crowed with guests waiting to be called, you can imagine how they started to get after they heard us talking to Karla. Some of them were there way before us. There was no apology by Karla Serrano or anyone else at all. All she said was "comeback tomorrow". I don't know how much power chef Godinez or the Ayres family gave Karla but she doesn't have the right to disrespect people or treat us like we are a piece of garbage. I will be sharing my experience with my socialmedia friends and hope it goes viral. We arenever going back there again and we will never ever stay at the Ayres hotels. Me and my wife ended going to a taco stand on PCH blvd and Senator ave next the Harley Davison shop and the food was amazing!

I spent $1,200 on a birthday dinner here, and here's my experience: - **Steaks** - Good - **Oysters** - Good - **Seafood Platter (Scallops)** - Terrible - **Tuna** - Unpleasant, tasted artificial - **Ceviche** - Stale and unappetizing Additionally, our waiter had a very bad attitude. The restaurant also has a strict corkage fee policy--$30 for the first bottle, then increasing to $35 and $40 for additional bottles. Overall, a disappointing experience.

This is a beautiful restaurant located in a boutique style hotel! Perfect for a date night with low lit ambiance. Our server was really nice, offering great suggestions for our dining experience here.I had never been to a Mexican steakhouse and this was a great introduction to it. The filet mignon chicharron was a very tasty appetizer! The elote was also amazing, the corn was soft and didn't get caught in my teeth which I appreciated. For my entree I got the rack of lamb, it was good cooked medium well and came with a roasted cabbage which was absolutely delicious! We ordered a side of lobster potatoes and those were creamy goodness, so good. The Brussels sprouts were also amazing and a great choice for a veggie side.It was so much food! You get your money worth with this place. Highly recommend!

Upon making a decision of where it would be best to have our company holiday dinner, Polanco came into decision making and we are so happy to have spent it there for the year 2024. Inside the Ayres Hotel. Parking was easy accessible and the hotel itself is a hidden gem with Polanco restaurant inside. The ambiance was amazing and our waitress was such a sweetheart. Overall our experience was great and the food was fresh. This place is wonderful for a date, children and groups. Must call in advance to advise of how many in your party and credit card to be put on file.If you are a no show they will charge your card $5-$10 a head of original amount you advise. Communication is key here. Also I tried to ask for the best table in house but honestly all tables are prime here so no need to ask

The service was so pleasant, my waiter Cesaer was so nice, and very helpful, I had chicken enchiladas topped with lettuce and Mexican cheese, street corn was , the wedge salad was 1 of the best I have ever had. Then to top it off was the cucumber margaritas was so good, but pricy. This is a nice place to go for any type of celebration or to have a date night. I will definitely be back. And the restroom was very clean.
