I recently visited Poke Bar in Long Beach and had a fantastic experience with their build-your-own poke bowl. The medium size is generous, offering three scoops of fresh seafood that were vibrant and flavorful. I had salmon, spicy tuna, and shrimp.I also tried the grilled salmon bowl, which had a nice char and a savory glaze that complemented the fish without overpowering it. The teriyaki spam bowl was a delightful surprise; the spam was crispy on the edges, with a sweet teriyaki sauce that added a unique twist. The variety of choices at Poke Bar is impressive. From different seafood options to a plethora of garnishes and mix-ins, the customization allows for endless combinations. The quality of ingredients, ability to personalize each bowl, and friendly service make Poke Bar a must-visit in Long Beach.

Went out to lunch in Long Beach, and I was craving poke. I haven't had poke since Hawaii.Parking: We found metered street parking down the street and walked to the spot.Ambiance/Environment: It's a small space with some indoor seating and one table outside. It's a very casual spot. Decently clean.Service: When we walked in, we were directed to fill out the order sheet. You'd check box everything you want in your Poké bowl on the order sheet, but you can also order other items from the menu. The worker could improve on her professionalism, but she was quick & efficient. What we ordered:1) Large Poké bowl - 2 bases, 4 proteins, half brown rice & half spring mix, ahi tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, seared albacore topped w/ carrots, cilantro, corn, cucumber, edamame, pineapple, sweet onions, spicy house sauce, spicy mayo sauce, seaweed salad, crispy garlic, masago, sesame seeds, furikake. Everything tasted fresh! The bowl was also packed. My favorite proteins are the salmon and ahi!2) Grilled Salmon Bowl - This had a generous amount of rice. I'd prefer another piece of salmon. Though, it was cooked well and the sauce was delicious.3) Ramen - I noticed they had a ramen machine. We first purchased the ramen at the register and chose our toppings. Then we were given a bowl. It was very easy to follow the instructions!4) Matcha Green Tea - This was supposedly their popular drink. It was decent .. I'd describe it as mediocre. Definitely not premium matcha. The boba tasted as expected.Pricing: The Poké bowl was definitely worth its price. I really enjoyed my bowl.

Food: is almost like every other poke spot but this place is very generous on there food and doesn't charge a lot like other places that gives you less portion. Service: staff is very friendly and knowledgeable of what sauce to choose from. Ambiance: very simple and modern. Definitely would come here again.

Poke bar was conveniently located next to my hotel so it was a must that I stop in. It was so good I ate there two days in a row because the flavors were haunting me and wouldn't stop me from craving it. My favorite part of Poke bar is the paper menu that you fill out to ensure your bowl is made exactly the way you want! I ordered up a large bowl with 3 added scopes of fish each time with no base. Yup no rice, salad or chips, just a bowl full of fish and toppings! And I'll tell you what after a long workout I thought I'd demolish this bowl but half way through I was slowing down. The bowl was heavy!! Hands down my favorite meal when I was in town!

This was such a fun random find for us! We happened to park near this restaurant and as poke people, we gave it a shot! At first I was a little stressed out about building my own bowl, but their order form makes it easy and even if I didn't know what I wanted, they had recommendations and were very helpful. My kids got some spam musubi and had so much fun brewing their own ramen at the cooking stations. No complaints!

One thing I truly love about this location is they have so many choices!!! They are well known for their "this is how we bowl poke bowls made your way" fast, fresh and served with a smile! All of their ingredients are fresh and sushi grade seafood is used in all their bowls. First you choose your protein, then your mix ins, sauces, sides and toppings. At the Long Beach location you can also get your proteins cooked should you or your friends not like raw ingredients. Which is amazing because so many times I have a poke craving and if I am with my friends that don't eat raw, we just don't go. Craving does not get fulfilled. At the Long Beach location you can bring your friends and everyone can enjoy all the freshness and create their own bowl!! They also have a ramen station where you have several choices. For dessert they offer an array of frozen delights including ice cream mochi

Not bad if you need something quick but there is definitely better in the area. Fish quality is okay but portions are big for the price. They no longer accept the Yelp Check In deal which is something to note. Overall, not bad but would probably pick something else up next time.

Food was good and not so bad for the price. The service was good. The place is a bit small but it's clean. The outdoor is small too but it's still nice

This place is one of my favorite build your poke places! The portions are so generous and the ingredients are fresh! Everyone here is also really nice and patient as you pick out your bowl. My go to order is typicallyBase: a mix of white rice and mixed greensProtein: Tuna, salmon, and scallop are all solid Mix ins: cilantro, cucumber, sweet onion, edamame, and green onion (love that you can pick as many as you want) Sauce- ponzu with spicy mayo on the side Sides- imitation crab and seaweed salad (this is perfectly seasoned) toppings- masago, furikake, and always always get the crispy onion and garlic for that amazing crunch. I feel like the cost is pretty darn good for how much food you get. This place is also less than a mile walk to the beach so go get some poke and go eat it on the beach!

My favorite poke place in Long Beach. For the price the portion sizes are GREAT. I come here every week. However, this review is for the one specific staff member who serves small portions and doesn't provide friendly customer service. She has dark brown or black hair, pixie cut and a deeper toned voice. Every time I come and she's working my meal doesn't taste that great, the portion sizes are smaller than normal and I'm always left disappointed. Every other staff member, including the owner, serves larger portion sizes and provide great customer service compared to this one specific staff member. She also oddly instructs customers to sit while she prepares their order instead of letting them stand and watch their food be made which, in my opinion, defeats the purpose of ordering food at a made-to-order food bar... While waiting for my food, I've also watched her not have the best tone/attitude towards other customers on multiple occasions. I seriously love this place but going forward, the only time I won't order from here is if this one specific staff member is working. It's never worth the money spent.
