Playa Mesa

Food was great, I shared the shrimp and steak fajitas perfect for if you don't want to eat too much The drinks were amazing my sister and I both ordered a margarita flight. I also got the Express Yourself and it a different type of espresso martini because they use tequila instead of vodka. The ambiance was nice, we got a perfect window seat and saw the sky's sunset. They do have shades so when the sun is hitting inside they'll drop them down so the sun isn't in your face. Our server was wonderful, she checked in with us and was happily open to answering our questions if we had any.We ended our night with the churros which were amazing and they serve it along with icecream and cafe de la olla. Which my sister tried and she said it was great! Overall a nice place to celebrate National Margarita Day!

My girlfriends and I came for bottomless mimosas Saturday and we were not disappointed!!! We did not have a reservation but it was quiet for a Saturday afternoon so we got seated right away. We all had tacos and enchiladas and they were delicious! All of the plates we ordered came with rice and beans. We all had a great time and our server Miguel was so nice and helpful! It was my birthday and he knew I didn't want the big singing/ attention so he brought out a dessert and wished me a happy birthday. Plus some birthday candy shots ;) Thank you Miguel!

I picked up cheese and steak quesadillas and dessert to go for my twin girls, and let's just say they were impressed. Who knew something as simple as a quesadilla could be so deliciously life-changing? The flan dessert was a hit too - fresh and yummy, according to my soon-to-be teenage critics. And trust me, they're tough to please.But what really stood out was the exceptional customer service. When we had an issue, the General Manager stepped in and made it right. That kind of dedication to customer satisfaction is hard to find!We'll definitely be back to Playa Mesa for more food... or else!Thank you for your care and attention Mr. Ramirez! It truly made a difference!

The food was good, definitely needed some salt and their salsas just weren't very spicy but I am not even taking off any points for that. We were in for a Sunday brunch and in the middle of our service they let our waiter go because it was slow. We were still drinking and eating but they brought the check and did not even have another waiter introduced to us. We had to flag someone down to get Togo boxes. Just left a bad taste in my mouth. I wish we had a better experience because I've been here before and remember it being good. Not sure if I'll be returning.

This was our first visit. We were immediately seated and brought chips and salsa. They were very good. Fresh chips and salsa not too hot. I loved their salsa. I ordered the enchiladas de mar which was a lobster and shrimp enchilada. It was made with a freshly made tortilla. I loved their green sauce they put on them. My wife ordered a chicken enchilada. She also enjoyed her meal. The restaurant was clean and had a nice atmosphere. Service was excellent. We will definitely come again.

It's been years since I have eaten here and drinks are still good but the food is blah and especially for the price. It's also very loud in here so if you want to talk to the person/people you came with this is not the place. You also need to valet since there's no parking what so ever. The valet wait time was a while as well.

This restaurant gives me similar vibes as Palmilla Cocina in Newport, but for a better price. Took my mom here for dinner and she loved the whole experience. She honestly felt like she was in Cabo with all the nice Latin inspired decor. Thank you for making it a pleasant night for us!We started with the shrimp ceviches as appetizers. The shrimp was meaty and the crisp of the chip was crunchy. 5/5. As for the entrees, we ordered the fish tacos and the chicken enchiladas. The chicken enchiladas is freakin delicious. I enjoyed eating the brown rice and the beans it came with. Very savory and flavorful. 5/5. It was a lot of food so we had it for togo. The fish tacos were good, but not crazy good to talk about. Just glad it was crispy then soggy. 4/5. We also ordered the jalapeño margarita and the Paloma Mesa cocktail. Both tasted good; barely taste the alcohol which can be dangerous lol. The bill wasn't too bad. I feel like it was worth it. Will come back again!

Came here for the first time tonight and we had the best waitress Scarlet! She had the best recommendations and treated us so well! I'll be coming back for sure. The atmosphere is so fun here

Food was really good customer service they were so friendly but on Valentine's Day manager in charge at night Lupe set up the table to surprise my girl for Valentine's and it went amazing. Thank you Playa Mesa for your everything.

Went to Playa Mesa for the first time with my partner and loved the vibes and music that was played. Courtney was so helpful suggesting both of us amazing drinks that were exactly what we were looking for! She was so welcoming and made this visit the first of many to come! Don't forget the mouth watering food-- the Birria tacos were perfection! So happy to have found this hidden gem!
