This place used to be my favorite pho place. In my opinion, it was the best in South Bay. I recently visited there after a long time as I moved out of Long Beach 1.5 years ago. I ordered pho tai (slices of rare steak) .I'm so sad to say this but I don't think I will go back again. It changed drastically. The biggest difference was that they changed pho noodles to vermicelli noodles that I usually see in bun, the vermicelli dish. The texture was much softer and mushier. I saw a similar review about the noodles being too soft, so for whatever reason, they changed the recipe. The broth was mediocre too. This restaurant saved my life in Long Beach 2011-2022 by offering good authentic pho and I thank them for that.If you are not so picky about pho and don't really have an expectation on what it should taste like, the restaurant may still be good so I will still rate 3.

Probably one of the WORST PHO places I've been to!! Make sure to READ ALL THE BAD REVIEWS before coming here, they're not lying!! I've been to many pho places, and this pho restaurant falls at the very bottom. Broth was not hot enough and very bland( surprisingly). Doesn't have the pure pho aroma. The noodles taste like it's been sitting in water too long. Also the meat seems overcooked and tough to eat. Customer service was pretty bad. They don't check up on you at all but they will make sure you get the check immediately to pay them. And I wasn't even done eating yet. And for some reason the workers like staring at me with a weird frown , getting racist vibes from the workers and cook. You can easily tell that this isn't a good pho place based on the people that eats here. Save yourself time and eat somewhere else. TRUST ME.

3.5 stars! We ate here simply because of its convenient location. I ordered the #16 phở chín tái nạm ($12.50) which has rare steak, well done brisket, and flank. The phở comes out in very unassuming lightweight ceramic bowls - the kind you might find at your auntie's house. It looks like a $12.50 portion of phở.The broth tasted very clean and a bit underdeveloped. It lacked the rich body phở flavor, which might have explained why the restaurant was void of any aromatic phở smell. I guess if you leave the restaurant smelling squeaky fresh, there's a little something missing in that phở broth. Broth aside, they give you a generous portion of meat - though I didn't love the enormity of my flank slices. The phở was just good enough to satiate my craving, but not good enough to woo me back for another bowl. The menu offers a wide array of traditional Vietnamese dishes, so I may be back for that.q

If you're looking for a neighborhood pho spot that is quick, attentive, and friendly then this is the spot for you. I've been here 3x in one week. Originally i stopped by because I was craving a Vietnamese sandwich, chicken banh mi IYKYK. It looks like a lil whole in the wall so I thought this could lowkey be a hidden gem, and it was! When you walk in they smile at you, ask if you're dining in or out, and are just ready to feed your soul. The ambiance is rather casual, giving a historic feel. Based on the consistent traffic in and out this place I can tell they've been feeding the souls of Long Beach for a while. If you never tried a banh mi sandwich I highly recommend try the chicken one here and the beef broth and noodle pho. I'm so grateful this spot is local because I will be back again and again! Bonus: the ice here is so perfect for my ice lovers

We decided to kick off the new year with some Pho and so we headed down to Pho Long Beach as our go-to Pho spot was closed on New Year's Day. I've heard great things about this establishment so I was actually quite excited to try this spot out! My boyfriend and I arrived to a server seating us immediately with a table ready for us. One thing I can solidify about this restaurant is that the service was definitely A1! We were tended to greatly throughout our visit which I really appreciated. The seating arrangement was bigger than I imagined but could easily manage to get a bit crowded as the tables are all quite close to each other. Now in terms of taste, here's the thing..We ordered 2 Thai Tea's which were honestly phenomenal. I've had Thai Tea at various establishments over the years and I can vouch that Pho Long Beach offers the best one! As a matter of fact, I will honestly come here alone for the Thai Tea. As an appetizer we ordered the deep fried shrimp and it was really great! The shrimp was jumbo sized, yummy, and clean. The Pho dishes consisted of our usual; Rare Steak Pho's with mine including chicken breast. This establishment served me my chicken apart from my pho which I didn't mind at all. We both agreed that our Rare Steak was a little on the tougher side and that the quality of the rice noodles weren't that great. However, there's one thing I really couldn't overlook and that was how our broth was a little bland and much more oilier compared to other Pho establishments. I hate to say it, but my boyfriend and I both left with somewhat of an upset stomach immediately after our visit. I actually had to stop by the drugstore and grab some Alka-Seltzers to mend the stomachache. Overall, going forward I'll skip the food here and strictly stick to the Thai Tea.Thai Tea: 5/5Pho: 3/5

I used to go here all the time but haven't gone in a while, the quality is still the same. I get the pho with rare steak and a side of egg rolls. Pho was nice and hot and broth was delicious, they put a lot of noodles as well. I usually finish all the noodles first then the broth but today it was the complete opposite, I finished my broth before my noodles, it's pretty plentiful. Egg rolls are a must! It comes with lettuce, cucumbers, carrots, radish, and cilantro with a fish sauce dipping sauce. All the vegetables are fresh and crunchy! We are greeted when we come in and get seated immediately, also food comes out FAST! less than 5 minutes of ordering we get our pho already, I kid you not it was so fast. I always enjoy the music they play too, it's instrumental peaceful music, I enjoy eating my meal with good music. Servers don't check up on you but they are friendly.
