To me, the food was overpriced and underwhelming. One thing you need to be aware of is that everything on towards the front is PER POUND. You do not get these as part of any food combos, except the bbq skewers. I found this out after pointing to different meats to be told that each item was per pound. PLEASE POST SIGNS INDICATING THIS.The combos are priced higher than most other Filipino takeout. We got a couple of combos, one at 1 item and the second with two items. Their "La Ing" has a slight kick to it, and their pepper steak is filled with a lot of fatty portions of meat. The pancit noodles lacked any real flavor and tasted slimy. This food is meant to be more gourmet I guess? Honestly I think I will stick with my usual go to place down the street.

The staff seemed disengaged and lacked any enthusiasm or personality, which really affected the overall experience. The combo options were limited, likely due to some items being sold by weight. As for the food, unfortunately, it was quite disappointing - I'd rate the taste 1 star.

To the Auntie's working there, please do not let people skip the line just because you are friends with them. I was in line to order food after waiting patiently for some time. It was busy this morning. When it was finally my turn the lady saw her friend who was after me, greeted her and proceeded to help her. I said I was next in line and she dismissed me and called someone else to help me. I was going to order more combos for my family but decided to just order what the lady already packed. I was disappointed and annoyed that they still let this happen in this day and age. If the situation was reversed and this happened to them elsewhere, I am sure it will not be acceptable to them. I let the lady that helped me know that they should not do that or they will lose business. They certainly lost mine. What a turn off. Not coming back. EVER.

If I could give no stars I would. Do not go here. Maybe if on a busy weekend night but Damn I fucked up and lost of $16 for a fucken 2 item plate.... first I off I was ignored for a long time while this lady put food from foil trays into metal pans for the line. They were all plastic wrapped so I'm assuming from the night before.... I should have left right there. It's almost 10am and they haven't even finished setting up the line yet they open 8am? Anyway, she proceeds to look at me and then say "what do u want" very rudely. And I asked if I could order, I was waiting by the register already for a while. Either way I got the Langonisa because I figured it should be fresh, it's morning. Can't go wrong with that and rice right ?No. My rice came out fucking ICE COLD!!!So they forsure kept it from the night before but 2hrs already into opening and no one could atleast microwave this shit before serving it ?And Langonisa was hard as a rock and had a sour taste. Was not sweet at all. This was the worst tasting Langonisa I have ever hadI also ordered crispy pork belly, atleast that was the one item that was warm. But some pieces you can just tell they were all old.... Waste of money but now I know to never come back.

My girlfriend ordered over $60 worth of food here. In two days the food smelled rotten although it had been put in the fridge. Food should not become rotten that quickly unless they are serving meat that is already bad. Close this place down.

Marisa was super friendly and helpful in selecting options for catering and its affordable and was enough for 25-30 people. Marisa even gave us samplers and made sure we knew what we were ordering. We originally asked for 5:30pm pick up and called same day for a 6:30 pm pick up instead and they were very accommodating

1/10 for the service crew at the food counter!The vendors are extremely unprofessional and impatient.What's the point of lining up if they rush you when you can't decide quickly, and if you hesitate because of the pressure, they just serve the person behind you instead? That makes waiting in a long line completely useless.They need retraining on how to handle customers because they are incredibly rude. The way they rush customers, you'd think they get incentives for taking more orders at Philhouse. I hope this reaches the management of Philhouse - LA at Vermont/Sunset.Your hunger will turn into frustration because of the rude food counter staff. On top of that, they respond sarcastically.The staff assigned to the food counter are rude, but the cashiers are kind.I can't find Philhouse - LA at Vermont and Sunset online, so I'll just leave my comment here so everyone can see.

If I can put 1000 NEGATIVE STAR I would!!!We ordered at this place for the 1st time last Sunday cebuchon for our Christmas dinner tonight. We ordered 1/2 cebuchon (5lbs which was $98 and some change, which was fine because we really wanted to try the cebuchon) for pick up tonight at 6pm.My son picked up the food tonight at 6pm - he was on time picking it up and he called me, letting me know that they ran out of cebuchon and only have 2lbs left and they would replace the other 3lbs with crispy pata head (which was mostly bones) the lady asked him if that's ok - DO WE HAVE A CHOICE we have dinner at 8pm at Azusa. Where are we going to find cebuchon at 6pm tonight to replace what we promised the family that we are bringing. WHAT'S THE POINT OF ORDERING IN ADVANCED IF YOU CANNOT FULFILL THE ORDER ANYWAY?

I very rarely leave a bad review unless there needs to be improvement or positive change. I arrived there at 7:52pm to be exact. I stood there at the counter for at least 5 minutes until one of the laadies behind the counter said, "Sorry we are closed." I asked, "What time do you close?" They said, "8pm." Pfft! Sure! So is that why they must have left me standing there for a bit? I noticed there was so much food like I was wondering if they purposely close a bit early so they can take a bunch of food home. Or maybe this is why people might say their food might be spoiled. Maybe they don't take the food home and the food sits out all day. Then they put it away for the next day. I don't know. I should have taken pictures of how much food they were putting away when they close. The lechon kawali looked pretty dry and there was nearly a whole tray for them to put away too. Trust me. When you walk in the store 10-5 munites before 8pm... you will be amazed how much food is getting put away for the next day. I know I will never eat at this location. Such a bad representation of Filipino food for someone who might be trying it for the first time. Shame on them! I hope the health inspectors catch them and close them down.

Must be owned by a Filipino politician, because they have no shame in taking your money.Not worth your money, overpriced, over-salted and overrated. Portion size does not equate to the price. Its clear the cooks have no idea how to cook filipino food because everything came out cold. DO NOT ORDER LUMPIA! It will stink up your car and it smells rotten. The bbq food was also bad. I'm not a great cook, but I do know how to bbq properly. WHY IS THE BBQ OVER-SALTED TOO???Someone needs to contact LA County Health Dept to have this place shutdown.
