This is a great local hole in the wall, independently-owned-and-operated Chinese place that actually feels and tastes authentic. Granted, having never been to China (but watching a lot of YouTube Chinese meals), American Chinese is completely oversauced and oversugared compared to the originals, but still - Peking feels much closer to what I would imagine real Chinese cooking to look like. The owners are friendly, if not very rushed and stressed because they don't have any extra help. I am sure this is due to the small margins of restaurant life and not being able to hire additional persons. For that reason, I can excuse the sometimes slow and/or hurried service. The dining room is small, but lively and comfortable.I highly recommend!

Don't let the outside fool you, as this place has been a staple for Chinese cuisine for many years, serving up a delicious mix of comforting and authentic dishes. We came around noon on a Sunday, and were first in the restaurant. The food came relatively quickly, and the best part is that they still have lunch specials on the weekend (which comes with a delish hot & sour soup, along with the obligatory hot tea). Here's a quick rundown of what we had on our most recent visit:Pan-Fried Dumplings - Slightly crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. This was probably my favorite dish, as the wrapper was freshly made and very thin (which is what I prefer)Taiwanese Beef Roll - Tender beef wrapped in green onion pancake with fresh veggies and savory sauce. Really tasty beef, but the green onion pancake was a little burnt/greasy.Chinese Garlic Green Beans - Perfectly fried, topped with some ground pork. Not all chinese restaurants can get this dish right, but Peking did! Loved that it was flavorful, but not overly greasy or salty. Sweet and Sour Pork - Crispy pork coated in a balanced sweet and tangy sauce. It is very sweet (which is to be expected for this dish). While not my personal preference, the others in my party loved it.Pork with Bamboo Shoots - sliced pork pieces sauteed bamboo shoots and mushrooms (oyster?) in a light, flavorful sauce. Good dish, more for my parents than me.Pan-Fried Mixed Noodles (Hong Kong Style) -Crispy noodles with a mix of tender meat, shrimp and veggies (bok choy, napa cabbage, carrots & onions), all in a savory sauce. A perfect balance of crispy and soft textures, and one of my personal favs!Bean Curd with sliced chicken - classic chinese dish with a light sauce. Good dish, more for my parents than me.A solid choice for classic Chinese comfort food. Servers were friendly, but you do need to flag them down from time to time if you need something. Restaurant is a little outdated, but food (which is most important in my book) is still solid. Highly recommend for anyone craving tasty, satisfying Chinese dishes.

This is my place to go for fresh & fried dumpling and fried green beans. Technically the old Chinese foods. Everything is homemade and the plates are rather big with decent price. There is only one server that works there for decades, once she gets to know you then you're all set of what good to order for that day. She can be cranky to some but for me she just being herself and she makes jokes too. The place is rundown hole in the wall and if you walk by from the outside, most likely you wouldn't want to come in. But if by chance you do, then you have alot to try. Me and my kid been there for almost a decade now, and will stop by whenever we can or when I'm craving for some goodie Chinese foods. Check it out if you are in the neighborhood.

If you're looking for some great dumplings, fried rice or other delicious beef rolls, this is the place to try. My go to here has to be their house special fried rice and most importantly, their beer rolls. It has to be one of the best I've had the pleasure of trying and the staff here is really nice. Really underrated gem in our area.

Love Love Loved the Jjajangmyeon noodles and sweet and sour pork... why a 4? Because they didn't serve me my yellow pickles that is a must have... I just found out they might be Korean Chinese from China and that's why they didn't serve them... sigh... just give me my yellow pickles and I will change this to a 5 star... because of all the noodles I've had at 5 other places around here, this is the best...Yellow pickles por favor!

We had a large group for a birthday party. We tried a variety of several dishes. All of them were very good. One of my favorites was the green beans. The service was great. Very friendly workers. The place was busy, but we were not ignored. The prices were very reasonable also. I would definitely go back.

Great homemade food. Don't judge by the outside. The spicy cucumbers are so good you want to take a bath in them, well maybe a "hot tub" in them since they are perfectly hot and spicy. The salt and Pepper in shrimp is my favorite! Try it.

I wanted Cantonese wonton At Canton restaurant in the same plaza. Since I am not familiar with this plaza and ended up going to Peking restaurant. They had dumpling instead of wonton and were not honest about it.Will never come back since their dumplings are not as good either.
