Just looked this place up because Thanksgiving is coming. I came here for the first time last year and ordered the turkey. Usually we get it at Ralphs or Albertsons frozen. We wanted to try fresh and compare the taste (my sister was going to make a frozen one). We seasoned and cooked the same way. Everyone loved mines more, for sure it was because it was none frozen! Yup so we are coming back this year to reserve again. I reserved last year but ended up waiting 20 mins for the turkey but I understand it can get back up especially on holidays...

Love this place. I get all my ducks turkeys and sometimes quail from here. They're usually still warm. Using the head spine and feet makes amazing broth.

If you're lookin' for Fresh Chicken, this could be your spot.The staff speak Spanish and might not be bi-lingual at the butcher area, so there could be a language barrier when ordering.It's a market and is fairly clean. The area is okay, not necessarily the best confidence instiller that it's 100% safe and a bit of a local 'hood with a sketchy feel... but if you go in the day, and park in their lot or the main street, you'll be fine.The rates seem okay, not as good as what you can get at LA's Chinatown for similar fresh butchered poultry, but this is the South Bay, Beach area of the LBC and if it's about convenience and proximity, or your Latin, more so than Asian, this could be a better option.I like it enough to give 'em * * * * four stars for their unique appeal and offerings of fresh poultry as opposed to what's sold at supermarkets.

I always go and buy young hen at this place, always fresh and fearly clean.Only issue is that the website and YELP open hours says they close at 8, well I head to the store, arrived around 6:30 and surprise gate metal door is locked so I ask hey it says at 8, so they point at the sign new hours says we close at 7, so I laughed like yeah but is 6:30 so the guy said we locked doors at 6:30 so at 7 we leave, ridiculously non sense for open hours if they close up 1.5 hours earlier than internet says and 30 minutes earlier than sign.

This is probably my favorite chicken shop in the LA area.I live in Long Beach and it is very convenient because it's so close! They sell fresh brown eggs here which is a plus!! I think in a case of 24

I'm giving this place a 3 star.Customer service is very poor, when getting the chicken clean, they ask for a tip right away. Don't expect any smile or anything. You wont have it.The only thing that I like to keep on coming back are the quality of the chicken, for my chicken stew.

Chicken is really good. I love it, I am going 15 miles because no other option near by .Fresh chicken with no customer service.Butcher speaks Spanish (probably) but no English .If you want chicken without skin you need to pay 1$ extra per chicken and butcher will remove 80% of skin.You must go before 5:30, chicken processing will be close after 5:30, after that you will get left out item only

I do the DYI dog food from JustFoodForDogs... great place for chicken parts (thighs, livers and gizzards)... great price and FRESH... I assume. I'll go back every time.

It is very very difficult to find chicken hearts. I was able to buy 5lbs with no problems here . This is the best place to find chicken hearts

Ok, so I went last week to this place to explore. I bought the brown eggs and they were amazing. This week Friday, I went to buy quail and chicken. The quail are in the freezer, not fresh. You can actually buy them at other places and for a better price. The chicken is fresh. That day, the guys had just killed and cleaned a lot of chicken. He was not in a good mood. Meaning, although they say that they will clean and cut for an extra fee, well that won't happen. You get what you get!The cashiers were cool. The chicken was amazing according to the family. I will not go back. There are other places in Westminster, Anaheim and Santa Ana that sell fresh killed fowl.
