Wonderful, small business with great drinks and great food! We tried the cookie butter latte, pecan praline latte, pink moon milk and strawberry passion fruit refresher. Would get them all again! For food we tried a pesto sandwich, bagel and cookie which we've continued to crave! The fact that Sonja makes all the pastries herself is enough of a reason to give this place a try! Great seating for those hanging out or working. Keep supporting small and local Can't wait to come back!

I really enjoyed this family owned coffee shop. The interior of the the place is bigger than what your initial thoughts are when walking in. This is a coffee shop bringing to you N'awlins style coffee. I ordered their Creole Latte and it did not disappoint. It was nicely balanced between sweetness and the coffee you want to still taste. All the employees (family/friends) were very attentive and helpful in choosing my first drink there. Because of the atmosphere, the originality of their drinks, the friendly vibes you recieve when dropping in, the community outreach they do on the side...I would come back here to try another drink. My review can't always be positive. I would say, my only hesitation coming back here would be preparing myself mentally to pay $8+ dollars (tip included) for a cup of their specialty coffee. Other than the price they charge for coffee, I have nothing bad to really say about this place. I encourage you all to check them out as they have been in business for only 8 months. Congrats Padekwa for making it 8 months. I wish you all a continued steady growth of success.

Parking: 9/10. Spacious area in general!Drinks: 10/10. Their lattes are strong yet smooth and flavorful. I particularly like their moon milk series, which has expanded with new and delicious flavor combinations! So far, we've tried Creole latte, butterfly pea moon milk, calm down honey moon milk. All drinks have been very enjoyable. Ambiance: 10/10. We first visited this shop when it opened early on and we had the pleasure of meeting the owner. She talked about her daughter's vision to create a community space for this shop and I am so happy her vision manifested into reality. Spacious seating all around, a private room for people who want to record their podcasts, great area for community events/meetings, and beautiful decor. I recently visited the place and I had to whisper to the folks after losing my voice. They were super accommodating and patient while I was coordinating with my spouse to place an order for our drinks. I felt very welcomed and validated. I wish we were closer to try more of their drinks and enjoy this space more often.

Searching for a new coffee shop, I stumbled upon this one. I'd seen it under construction over the past year.Upon entering, the shop was nearly empty. I believe I encountered the owner, but despite being the only customer, I received no greeting - no "hello," "good afternoon," or "welcome."I ordered avocado toast (no tomato, arugula and spinach on sourdough) and a Creole latte on Oatmilk which was quite good.Only 2 pastries in the bin ,not much to choose from. I did come between 12:30-130 pm The wait time was reasonable, given I was the sole customer. However, I wasn't given a receipt, nor was one offered. I left a tip. While I'll give it another try (hoping for improved customer service, especially considering it's a new establishment), my initial experience was underwhelming. The exception was Amber at the cashier; she was welcoming and friendly. Overall, I'd rate this coffee shop 3/5 .

I don't usually review places after only one visit but this place impressed me so much my first time, that I feel confident in my review. I walked in today just to pick up a coffee before work. The welcome I got as soon as walked through the door was the definition of hospitality! The owners and a staff were there and all 3 were just so warm with their welcome. I ordered a regular almond milk latte, unflavored to taste the espresso. As I waited for my order I wandered around the shop. It is the coziest place! Clean, organized, comfy seating, stocked bookshelves, and small offices/ work spaces. I would absolutely return for a coffee date w a friend and maybe to get some work done. Happy to have found this place not too far from home!

Padekwa is a great new addition to the Lakewood area. I've been here twice so far and both times I was immediately greeted and met with good vibes from the staff. In terms of food I've tried the avocado toast, the lox bagel, and the brownie. My personal favorite was the lox bagel. The bagel tasted fresh and soft and there was just the right amount of lox for my personal preference. The capers, sauce, and everything blended very well for a delicious bite and I felt the price was very reasonable. For drinks I've tried the Beignet latte and the pumpkin spice latte. I personally preferred the pumpkin spice because it was a little sweeter. Of note, I noticed there were things floating in the Beignet latte and I wasn't sure if it was supposed to be there so I only took a couple sips. In terms of the the decor and overall ambience, I found it to be spacious, modern, and minimalistic...perfect place to sit back with a coffee and get some work done. Overall, I'd recommend to give this place a try.

I might have found my new favorite coffeeshop. The vibe in this place is amazing -- I didn't want to leave. When you walk in, you're greeted by a long corridor-like space with a coffee counter on one end. They have a simple menu with a few specialty drinks (the Creole latte was really yummy and very caffeinated, hooray!), fresh baked pastries in the case, and some sandwiches. There's a small hallway with a room (or two), which leads to a large, well-lit room adorned with artwork. There's a small stage, reading nook with shelves, and plenty of seating. The aesthetic was amazing, and the family that operates this place are super friendly and very sweet, so it's easy to get comfortable in this space. I will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a place to just chill for a while, study, or do creative work (just get the large Creole latte first to get the caffeine buzz going).

If you know me, I'll drive out of the way to get high quality coffee especially from a little hole-in-the-wall type of joint. So that's what I did a few weeks ago. Headed over here right after work around 8:30AM on a Sunday making a huge detour so I hope it was worth it. Read on to find out if it did or not. Here's what I ordered: **Creole Latte: The lady recommended I order this with whole milk so that's what I did. I absolutely loved the flavor! You can taste all the spices working its magic together and it's not sweet at all! (5/5)**Iced Latte: I like to order a basic drink once in a while. Got this with oat milk and it was delicious. (5/5)Excellent service by what seemed like a husband and wife duo. The customer service here is out-of-the-world AMAZING! It seemed like they like to connect with everyone which is a huge plus! They have a very huge space including private meeting rooms with conference tables, an area for their paint & sip sessions they hold every once in a while, and a very clean, spacious area to sit around. Seems like a very great place to get work done if you're a student or just out and about in general. They have some merch available at the front.I will definitely be back in the near future if I'm in the area. Their food and pasty options looked amazing. Their creole latte was one of the best coffee drinks I've had this year. I 100% recommend this place for all you coffee lovers!

I went here just to do a little bit of work and I liked the peaceful ambiance and the employees were very kind to me! Lots of space to study and plenty of plugs. I went around 12am so I was one out of the like 3 other people there. I got the lox on an everything bagel with arugula and chai cream cheese (it was customizable) and a pecan praline latte which were both delicious! I'll be sure to come back!
