I love shopping here for seafood. Great variety of fresh seafood is sold here. But do arrive early to see it all. They sell pretty fast. Lobsters, whole fish, crabs, oysters etc.... We purchased a whole piece of ocean trout this time to celebrate Christmas and the employee offered to fillet the fish. I baked it in the oven with a few kinds of citrus on top. It was so delicious. Everyone loved it. There is a private parking lot that has securityThis place gets busy so expect some delays while shopping here. All the wait is worth it cause you get fresh seafood that is reasonably priced

I was a little torn on whether I should give Pacific Fresh Fish 4 or 5 stars, but I went with 5 and here is why.The seafood was fresh. SO fresh. Everything I bought was either freshly alive or freshly dead. Either way, it was FRESH. I love that they had such a huge variety of fresh seafood. I have never had live Spot Prawns (commonly known as Amaebi or Sweet Shrimp) that was so big! They were pricey at $38 a pound, but that is still much cheaper than what you can get at restaurants. I got fresh Halibut, live Manila Clams, live Amaebi, and live Oysters, but they have so much more! Not everything is out on display, so you need to ask someone.Speaking of asking someone, this can be daunting if you've never been here before. This place normally sells to restaurants, so household consumers need to keep in mind that they do not provide "customer service" here. All the negative reviews about the lack of customer service is sort of true, but they DO help you. You need to be persistent and ask and be patient while they fill their restaurant orders. Yes, it can be frustrating, but we are not their regulars and we are at the bottom of their priority. Yes, get off your high horse if you plan to come here to buy good seafood. I don't have a horse so I manage :).Also, there is a tiny parking lot... which is filled with workers cars so there really isn't much of any parking on the premise. I came on a Thursday at 5:45 a.m. and got the last spot. When I left at 6:30 a.m., it was a zoo in the parking lot. This is located in a sketchy part of LA, so be careful and be safe.

Look at this uni tray!! And it was only $49! I can't speak on the other products because I only bought uni but there were lots of ocean creatures sitting on ice that looked fresh and delicious. Customer service: the man who took my money and gave me change was very nice...the man who actually took my order was a little gruff but maybe it's because I only bought one thing and this place is a wholesale seafood place so they are used to chefs buying in bulk.

First of all this is The BEST place to buy sushi grade seafood in Los Angeles. Secondly, they are open to the public as a courtesy ONLY. By no means do they need non commercial business. This is a generational business that is EXTREMELY successful. You must have thick skin to deal with the fast paced ever changing commercial, wet, cold environment. Similar conditions can be found in the Tokyo early morning fish auctions. These people are here to provide the very best fish available, Not to win a popularity contest. This isn't Gelsons!!!Don't be offended that the counter man isn't holding your hand and smiling and nodding. They expect you to come in here with your list, get your items and move along. You should act accordingly. Act like you know what your doing. Be grateful that they still do retail. Be an insider!! Cherish this gem and be the star of your seafood presentations. Don't come in here and cry about harsh conditions and business like businessmen. This is no place for the spineless. Continue to enjoy and act right.

Horrible Service from the owner, go somewhere elseThe owner works the register acts like you're bothering him. Rushes you along and doesn't even wanna tell you what you're paying. Short and vague responses to your questions and speaks so low an unenthusiasticly he may as well tell you to leave him alone. We'll be going to another market just to have someone who acts like they want our money. It's a fish market so I don't expect service with a smile but I'd at least expect someone who willingly answers a question or two about the food I'm buying. Act like you don't want my money then you won't get it. I'll be sure to buy from your competition. I'd expect better from a business owner who deals with the public.

the worst customer service ever seen i think the owner needs to see a doctor asaphe thinks He is strong with his bad attitude but that reflects his very very low self confidence.whenever we ask him a simple question About the product he starts making fun of us with his assistant and they laugh together and ignore answers This is really rude and makes customers uncomfortable i don't recommend this place to no one
