Stopped in for my first time this past weekend and was pleasantly surprised. I am working down a list of all diners in LA and this being a well-known one on the list. Located in Commerce it's not my favorite area of town, but the food quality is worth the visit. They have a large parking lot with free parking and all of the staff that we encountered were very polite and prompt. Inside is quite large and half of it is a sports bar with big screen TVs and a full service bar. They did a good job on the design inside and would definitely be somewhere I'd want to check out in a future visit. They don't have outdoor seating but plenty of indoor options. They have a huge menu filled with all sorts of classics and they really market their steaks and meat, especially. For my breakfast, I chose the Hamburger Steak & Eggs and thought it was all around great. The patty was extra flavorful and I opted for a side biscuit with gravy, which was a great choice because it was very fluffy and very good. Pricing is extremely fair and the portion sizes are large. I would definitely recommend to any fan of diners and especially anyone in or visiting this part of LA.

Great atmosphere and tradition for the area. The service and hostess are always welcoming and great energetically.But when it comes to food, it's very generic. Not bad.. but i guess its because i like to customize my dishes, my orders are looked at as "too much" and chefs don't pay attention to my requests. I would think that wouldn't be a problem considering that i don't mind paying. Not everyone thinks like me. ;-)

BEWARE! A 4% extra charge is automatically added to the total bill at the cashier for every customer paying with any type of card--without prior notice! This is extremely shady and, in many cases, illegal. The restrooms were absolutely disgusting, smelling like a gas station restroom that hasn't been cleaned in weeks. For the business owner: If your current POS system is too expensive, perhaps you should find a different provider--many charge only 1.5%. It's highly unprofessional and offensive to pass that cost onto your customers at checkout without transparency. You and your business is responsible for that expense whatever % they charge you. BTW, businesses that strongly "prefer" cash often do so to hide money from the IRS--no wonder the roads and infrastructure look the way they do in LA county. But why would anyone care, right?Also, $3.99+tax for soda water? That's outrageous. Because of how you run your business and treat your guests, our large party left a smaller tip than we normally would have. Your greedy attitude is ultimately robbing your employees, but it seems like you don't care.0 stars!!! The only reason this review gets one "extra" star is for the cooks--they did a great job in every way.

I had Ozzie's on my list. I was in the area at the right time for lunch and stopped by.The restaurant has been in business sense 1957 . It does also have a bar in the back. The restaurant has that old dinner look to it . It was clean and looks great.I ordered the Ozzie club with Cole slaw.They do have many choices on the menu.The food came out and it all looked delicious.I enjoy the the Cole slaw. It had a sweet flavor and a little bit of vinegar flavor too.The sandwich is on lightly toasted bread with cranberry sauce. I really enjoyed it.The waitress was friendly too Overall I was happy I stopped by.

Ozzie's Diner is a real 1950's diner. It is not a newer nicer dressed up to be a 50's diner. It is the real thing. It is family owned. They serve wonderful comfort food, just like you would get in any great diner. They also have a full bar.The place is so cute and comfortable. There is a counter and great booths. It is spotless inside and out. There is not a bad meal to be had there.They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. Their breakfast fare is great. Their pancakes are fluffy and wonderful. Their hash browns are divine. You have to try their biscuits and gravy. Their waffles are super tasty.We especially love their burgers. They are cooked to order just the way you might want them. Their fries are great and they have a chili that is wonderful. The mac and cheese is so very good. They can make a great salad.You will love their beefeater sandwich. They have a menudo soup that is just the best.Parking is easy and free.The service is fast and very friendly. All of the staff is great. You will love this place.

Craving for some turkey, but don't feel like cooking?Don't feel like spending time with your family & friends during the holidays?Come here to feel like you're a part of the family. I've always wanted to try this place, so I decided to stop by today.This restaurant as you walk in has this old school diner feel. It's kind of rare these days to see this type of atmosphere.I ordered the holiday dinner special. It comes with either soup or salad, turkey plate & a pumpkin pie. The plate comes with candied yams, vegetables, corn on the cobb, mashed potatoes. slices of turkey, cranberry sauce, dinner roll & stuffings smothered with gravy. I was too full to eat the pumpkin pie. I told my waitress to eat the pie for me because I'm stuffed. My waitress is so nice & friendly. This place has been around for 60 years. I can't wait to go back try the other items on the menu.

Found this place years ago, just classic american food. When you're craving that don't go to Denny's come here! Best Rueben i've had by far. Wings could have had more flavor though, especially for the price. Also this place is basically two restaurants in one, with the sizable bar area in the back which i honestly prefer the aesthetic of than the front. Great place.

It is a Coffee Shop with a bar. Much like its neighbor STOX . Breakfast , Lunch or Dinner. I typically visit during breakfast. This visit I had the breakfast croissant with sausage and egg and crispy hash brown potatoes. My friend had the Ozzie special which is a steak two eggs hash browns and toast. The eggs were as ordered his steak was cooked perfectly good flavor and tender. The croissant was fresh and flaky. Service was attentive, and friendly. The restaurant is decided in two the front has large windows booths and a counter. It was updated in the 80s to a 50s throwback look with pink neon and white Formica. The bar is dark with natural woods a small dance floor. In the evening it has its own entryThe parking lot has space for both cars and big rig trucks. Restrooms are extremely small in the front while not huge the restrooms in the bar are less claustrophobic.

If you are looking for good food and a little nostalgia you will love Ozzy's.Awesome comfort food and a great staff. The 50's vibe is there with all of the ambiance.I know I will be back next time I am in town
