We have been on the search for good sushi and service in Long Beach for a few years. We have FINALLY found it in Osaka Story! Let me tell you how excited we were the whole time. The sushi is super fresh and made by blessed hands. Delicious and appealing (beautiful on the eye). Prices are markedly affordable and we can see that the happy hour is right on par. Lovely ambience and decorations are very cute with a pink neon sign for that influencer photo op. Heheh!We enjoyed a range of sushi, sashimi and udon, and everything was DELICIOUS. Our service was amazing and the owner greeted us on the way in and shook our hands on the way out. We are SUPER excited to have Osaka Story in Long Beach and we cannot wait to return and return and return again!Metered street parking/residential parking.

We came by here for the first time on a Sunday night. My husband picked it, I think for the great reviews. We ordered the crispy Philly roll, the Black Mamba and the Albacore Surprise roll. The Black Mamba was my favorite! So incredibly tasty and fresh. I will definitely order this one again. The crispy Philly was so interesting. The first bite we both took, we weren't quite sure about it. It's like our senses were confused lol But the more we ate it, the better it got! I recommend you trust this process lolThe Albacore Surprise was tasty and fresh also, but it wasn't a stand out like that Mamba was. The service wasn't friendly or attentive but that's okay, it was date night and the playoffs were on so that didn't impact our night too much. We'll be back!

I wish I could tell you the "Osaka Story," but they said they don't have one. Lol! At least make something up? Is there a connection with Osaka? Nope. But they plan on opening a "Tokyo Story" in the near future. Smh I will say that the staff here are very attentive, friendly and service is quick.They have a great selection of sake and an overwhelming menu of appetizers, hot entrees, noodles and an extensive array of sushi rolls. Most of the items are pretty pricey, but an affordable, unique offering is the Yubu specials. Thin layer of soy-based cups stuffed with sushi rice and topped with your choice of protein (beef, pork, fish). They are pretty filling too. The fish is pretty fresh here, but their specials are standard (mackerel, halibut, uni, sweet shrimp). I like the fresh wasabi on the sweet shrimp, but was missing ponzu sauce for the fried heads. Generous amount of blue crab in the hand rolls. The Jessica Albacore Roll was flavorful and satisfying as well. They have just about something for everyone here. Not the most mind blowing, though.

Such a cute spot with great vibes . We ordered :Large premium Jinmai hot sake was pretty smooth. I didn't check in till after I left and missed out on the complimentary hot sake. 4/5Cucumber salad looked cute but had very little flavor to it. It was definitely fresh though. 1/5Shishito peppers weren't too bad . 2/5Taco carpaccio was ok too. 1/5California roll my daughter loved . I tried a piece and it was on point . Service was great .

Fantastic!!! Been eyeing this spot since they opened, hearing all great things, and finally made a visit happen. Double date night with our fellow sushi loving friends and we were all impressed. With a huge menu, it was hard to decide. Luckily, everything we ordered was perfectly to our liking. The lighting may not do these pics any justice, but this is one of my new favorite sushi spots in town! Fresh and flavorful, sizable rolls, some unique menu items, capped by fantastic service. Love supporting local and this brother/sister owner restaurant has some new fans. The only downside, like all 2nd street businesses, is the parking.
