I really wanted to like this place more but I definitely think they have some kinks to work out since their still in their soft opening! Overall the fish quality and variety of their many was good. There wasn't enough rice in the handrolls in my opinion, but it was really the low quality seaweed that made it hard to chew. Nori should be crisp and easy to eat, and it was lacking in that aspect. I think service could have been better too since it took a while for them to grab waters and take our order despite it being a small place. Servers were definitely friendly though! Their lemon koso drink was great, but at first my drink was flat despite asking for soda water so they ended up opening a new thing for me which fixed the bubbles issue. Yet at the end, our bill was entirely wrong and I had to explain to them what we ordered. Not sure if I'll head back anytime soon until they can work out some of these issues, but glad there's a new handroll place in Gardena!

I found the nori a bit difficult to chew, which made eating somewhat challenging. There's actually a tool designed for making rice balls for kids that punches tiny holes in the nori to make it easier to bite through--they should totally use that! Or option for soy paper. The temperature of the sushi rice was warmer than I expected--closer to regular rice rather than properly seasoned sushi rice. This created a contrast with the sashimi toppings that didn't quite harmonize.Additionally, the sauces used on the sushi were quite strong, overpowering the natural flavors of the fresh fish. While I could tell that the fish itself was of high quality, the sauces tended to dominate the taste. That being said, I particularly enjoyed the sweet shrimp. What I did appreciate was the restaurant's stylish interior, as well as the beautiful presentation of the dishes. The Instagram ads were also very appealing and accurately reflected the restaurant's aesthetic. Affordable price except ... just didn't like the tea price. I was surprised to find that they charge $3.50 for tea. Had I known beforehand, I might have just ordered water instead. I don't mind to pay $3.50 for a tasty hot tea though)To balance out the bold flavors, I stopped by Bonjour, a café in the mall, for some cake and coffee. It turned out to be a great way to finish the meal, and I think this combination would make for a lovely lunch outing with friends. Since one visit isn't enough to form a complete opinion, I would be open to giving this restaurant another try without ordering tea lol.

Sushi handrolls; although sushi tacos is more descriptive. But great value! Very fresh fish; and good portions. Price is reasonable. The only improvement would be switching to a different nori that is easier to bite; the nori was a bit thick and hard to bite off.Overflowing ikura was very descriptive and really awesome. Delicious!

Quality of fish is very fresh and flavors overall were better than expected. The free oden appetizer that they provide during soft opening is also delicious - light and good umami. Service is friendly and attentive. Small, intimate, cozy spot for quick lunch or dinner. Will def be back

The service is good and the ambiance is nice, modern. The food is just ok and on the pricey side. The presentation was very good. The handrolls come on custom taco-style holders and are well assembled and look good. However, despite seemingly quality ingredients, the flavors were imbalanced and the toppings severely masked the flavors of the fish/seafood. The worst part was the seaweed, it has a plasticy texture. The rice underneath lacked flavor and the fish in the center was served far too cold further masking the flavor. The best part of the meal was the real grated wasabi they served on the side. It should be noted this was during the soft opening and they may still be figurings out. For dinner handrolls were $8-$12. We are unlikely to come back. There are far better places to eat in the area

Oh! BANZAI blew me away with their incredible hand rolls and fruit enzyme drinks! The hand rolls were unbelievably fresh and packed with flavor. The Toro-Taku was perfectly balanced--rich, buttery tuna paired with crunchy pickled radish, creating the most satisfying bite. The Unagi-Tamago was another standout, with fluffy egg and smoky eel coming together in perfect harmony. And the fruit enzyme drink? Absolutely refreshing! I wasn't sure what to expect, but it turned out to be light, naturally sweet, and full of fruity goodness--an amazing complement to the meal.On top of that, the staff was super friendly, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting. If you're looking for high-quality Japanese flavors, this place is a must-visit.
