O'Connell's

I really like this place a lot. After starting taco tuesday at El Sauz across the street, i talked my girlfriend and our friends to have a drink at O'Connell's . I wanted to go there for last year's Euro Final but someone told me to get drunk in the comfort of my own home. Plus i was wearing a Spain jersey so it might have been a bad idea. LOL. We walk in, and its a double door feature to get into the bar. They have a lot of high table seating and some set places. Lots of TVs and they were showing a grip of classic baseball movies and games. I had a vodka tonic and it was pretty good. My friends had draft beers and the prices were not bad. In the other room they have a pair of pool tables and to our surprise, a shuffleboard. It also had a small window where you could order food from the place next door that catered to your munchie needs. I look forward to spending a longer night or day drinking there and having a good time.

I live right down the street from this place. It's listed as a dive bar, but I love it here. Great atmosphere. Always cool crowd. Never any drama. In the rare occasion. They got big ass security the black guys from the green mile, and some dude that's gotta be on steroids. He LIFTED the pool table. No water down drinks there's the MVP grill right next-door and they have a joining Window.. and the bartenders are great too. But the man who holds EVERYTHING DOWN! HIGE shoutout to Titto!!! Highly recommended. Just leave ur drama at home. Control ur liquor.

I truly appreciate all staff at O'Connells. Amazing location in Long Beach. 6am - 2am I was traveling to home and needing coffee to get motivated! Coffee + Tullamore Dew + Baileys! A little whip!

O'Connell is a neighborhood Irish dive bar that I walk to. I watch my beloved boston Celtics on one on their plentiful number of large screen tv's. Drinks are cheap. One of the oldest bars in long beach. Unfortunately they serve no food.

Came here last night for one drink and the bartender on shift (Jeff or jack) was incredibly unprofessional and rude. He hit on me and once I was uninterested he became hostile. I politely asked for a bigger cup to combine my juice and shot and he said no, someone offered me their glass and when I took it (jeff or jack) grabbed me by the forearm and yanked the drink out of my hand, it was my first drink of the night and I was very polite to everyone there before this happened. Then the short bouncer with long hair dragged me out of my seat by the shoulders after the drink was ripped from my hand. I forgot something in the bathroom and when my friend came with me to go get it I was shoved out once again. I did nothing wrong, I usually love this place but this is unacceptable.

Cool and friendly dive bar In Long Beach. Bar tenders are amiable and welcoming. Drink prices are fair. It's hard to get two beers for 10$ anywhere these days but you can get that at O'Connell's. Two pool tables in the rear. Spacious and open.

This place is disgusting. I live on the same street and literally walk a block out of my way each day just to avoid walking past because every time I have, I've been harassed by a (different) guy standing outside smoking a cigarette and falling down drunk. This happens in the middle of the afternoon on weekdays. And the door to the pub is always open and bartenders never intervene. Management is sketchy af to be over serving so much and doing nothing about their harassing customers.

Great food, great prices and great service! Always good food and ok putting on requested game to watch.

Amazing service! Drinks are cheap and there's a delicious restaurant attached with a window to order from the bar! 100% will be coming back!
