Excellent restaurant. My wife and I both had a special macadamia nut halibut that included asparagus, spinach, and risotto. It was excellent but the nuts were slightly over toasted. Bread pudding dessert was excellent. Lots of tables for two and fairly close together. It was very vibrant atmosphere. That said, it is noisy in downstairs area. There is an upstairs we did not see. There is a huge wine and drink selection.Service was excellent. Thank you Taylor S. Parking is street parking. We were at 2nd and PCH mall area and left our car and walked over the bridge. Good experience.

Having heard about this place for so long, I was anxious to treat my friend to dinner. The restaurant is attractive, but tables are small and placed closely together; both of us knew it was going to be too noisy. Staff is pleasant and prompt. Our wine choices were lovely. We decided to just share calamari and go elsewhere for a more peaceful dinner. The best thing about the calamari was that it was served on a bed of fried spinach leaves. However, the calamari was flavourless and "off", possibly not fresh. I know many people just love it here, I've always heard great reviews. But it just wasn't for me.

This was my kid & I hung out place during the pandemic period for 3 yrs. Now I just stop by here and there solo since it a neighborhood place. Love this place, staff are wonderful and the foods are just as good as you can get. The drinks are vey skill made per order. Our favorite dish is steak and fried, perfectly seasoned and well medium raw prepared. The place is cozy and got high end homey feeling for me.

This is a regular spot for my husband and I when we are restaurant/bar hopping down Second Street on a Saturday afternoon. It's a great local spot with a cozy atmosphere, great drinks and good (albeit not mind blowing, but good) food. We usually sit at the bar as we look forward to being waited on by Celeste, an amazing bartender who is a pleasure to chat with as well. She makes fantastic espresso martinis (with freshly made espresso!) and is very accommodating to any cocktail or mocktail you can think of. While their bar area is small, the restaurant itself has a few different seating areas that are perfect for groups large or small, or just an intimate one-on-one date night. On this visit, they happened to have a seasonal holiday cocktail menu, which I love because it offers festive, creative options you wouldn't normally get with their regular beverage program. As always, they have a great wine list, by the glass and by the bottle. I love that the bar is just busy enough to have some energy but never too crowded during this time of day, and that they are open for lunch so I have a cozy place to take work clients that has a variety of food items. Parking can be a little challenging, there is a small lot and street parking but it can fill up fast. I have always had good experiences here and I just think it's a very cute, special place.

This is a fairly upscale restaurant with a very nice bar areas to hang out at. Seems to be flooded with locals and it has a very nice vibe to it. The food is pretty ok and the wine is overpriced. I assume as they only have nicer wines to choose from. I will definitely come back here to either eat something or to just enjoy a glass of wine. This place has great service and we will definitely come back. I only wish that they would have more cheaper wine options so you could enjoy a few glasses and not go broke....

Restaurants ambiance is sexy and dark perfect for an intimate date night! My boyfriend and I tried this place out accidentally because we had missed our other restaurant reservation. And I'm so GLAD we stumbled upon Nico's. We ordered some delicious cocktails and food( steak tar tar and ceaser salad with chicken)!Staff members are very accommodating with us. Let us dine even though they were a couple minutes till close. I have been thinking about the steak tar tar ever since I've left, almost went back the very next day. See you soon NICO'S!

If you are looking to go out for a special dinner don't go here. On special days such as Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve and you make a reservation (well in advance and they make you confirm) **I made reservations at New Year's Eve and Christmas Eve (today) and now they seem to think it's okay to seat you at a high top table in bar w STOOLS. I must say that something I never expected! This will be my last time coming here. I suggest - if you're going to come here find out ahead of time what kind of seating arrangements you're going to get -as I never would've come here if it was a high top. So we left and went to second and PCh restaurant " A at PCH". The hostess sat us quickly to a nice both even though they were busy. Food was phenomenal and service was superb. Much better option!!

Well - Hubby tried here again w a reservation. For $$$$ and advanced reservation got sat at high top w stool in THE BAR!! So loud. No way to talk - no regular menu again. They just don't seem to f'ing care - ever. Dont come here for holidays!!!

The food was FABULOUS! The service was excellent and the ambiance was warm and intimate. We will define be back!
