Nevin's Donut Shop

Been wanting donuts lately and tried a few little shops around Los Alamitos. This week I came across Nevin's and I have to say everything about it was better than the rest!! Not only is the store neat and clean, the kind lady giving you your donuts instantly gives you that welcoming and warm home feeling!! it was my second time going this week, but it's only Wednesday (: I've tried every cake chocolate sprinkle doughnut in Los Alamitos and this one is always fresh and consistently good!! I will definitely be back

This place by fat has the freshest donuts I ever had!!!! What a cute little shop and the customer service is amazing! They actually know their customers by name! I will never eat a donut anywhere else!!!!

I love donuts. I've been looking for the best donuts throughout Los Al, Long Beach, Lakewood area & I've found it here! Flavor of the donuts are wow, freshness is on point, & not oily nor do they have an over-oily flavor. Each bite was fantastic, crisp on the outside and soft n doughy on the inside. From the glaze, maple bar, old fashioned, apple critter, sprinkle: all were amazing. Definitely worth the drive

I am not a huge donut fan but my kid is. After spending almost $5 a donut in LB and NOT being impressed we happened into Nevins. Amazing apple fritter - lots of cinnamon and the apple pieces were not dry. The cake donuts were just what you would expect and the raspberry jelly hit the kids sweet spot. Dozen donuts and an apple fritter for less than $20. I'll be back.

Unfortunately I've decided to downgrade my review of Nevin's because of its inconsistent hours of operations. Nevin's is always closed even if posted hours on its door state that it's supposed to be open. It's actually frustrating and disappointing to discover that the store is closed when I arrive. I haven't had their donuts in a few months coz I can't seem to catch the store open when I go and I don't think I ever will as a result. Also I don't even know if the owners decided to close shop completely or changed hours again coz there's no sign. Nonetheless, Nevin's has definitely lost a customer.

Saturday Morning, 11:20am. Front door chained closed, no donuts, no o e inside, looks abandoned. Never coming back, and was so looking forward to a famous Tigertail.I'm off to the donut shop off Katella by 7-11 for now.By Nevins, I still remember the surrounding dirt lots back in the day

WAS large, delicious great personal service in the late 70s, fell apart early 1990s. NOT true Nevins. Would not recommend.
