A gem with a heart! Visited Mychal's Cafe today. First, the mission behind this cafe is inspiring--they provide opportunities for people with disabilities to learn valuable job skills. In my 20s, I worked as a Case Manager, helping people with disabilities find jobs in the community. I would assign job coaches to train them, fostering inclusion and helping them lead fulfilling lives. Walking into Mychal's Cafe brought back those memories and warmed my heart. I had the pleasure of meeting the founder Ed and Doug, who trains the students with disabilities. They have a wonderful set up! Wish them continued success!Now, onto the food and drinks: the COFFEE was excellent--full of flavor. The food was delis as well, though I would have enjoyed it a bit hotter (it arrived warm, but not piping). That small detail aside, everything tasted fresh and satisfying. And the almond bar and coffee cake, perfectly warmed up and paired well with my vanilla latte. The service was outstanding--friendly, patient, welcoming, creating an overall positive atmosphere. The ambiance was clean, cute and cozy, making it the perfect spot to relax or catch up with a friend. We sat in the patio in the back, to soak up a little Vitamin D:) Plenty of parking in the back lot too. I can't recommend this place enough! Businesses like Mychal's Cafe that give back to the community deserve all the support they can get. Stop by for a coffee, a bite to eat and a chance to contribute to an amazing cause:)

What a precious spot. This cafe is all about the special needs community, it's amazing. It was a good spot to meet up with friends for a quick brunch and coffee, parking was super easy, and there was lots of seating available. Any local business that's giving back to the community deserves recognition, so it's worth checking out for a quick bakery treat

Finally tried out Mychal's cafe and I absolutely love everything about this place. From the breakfast menu to the bakery. Love that many people like to come here and work on their laptops while they have their coffee or breakfast. The establishment is very big and clean. There's plenty of space, plenty of tables for big groups or small groups. Everyone is also very friendly, very polite. & I agree, if you are impatient and want your food NOW, this isn't the place for you.

The food was really good. We enjoyed the Breakfast Bruschetta especially and the breakfast quesadillas. The proportions were generous and absolutely delicious. We will be back!!

The food and service were great! The carrot ginger soup was amazing. I love the mission of this cafe/organization! There was also a really nice outdoor area with an herb garden. Lots of parking in the lot in the back. Will definitely be back next time I am in the area!

really good sandwiches. got a bacon lettuce tomato avocado sandwich and the bacon was perfectly crispy! on the side, picked a tomato bisque and that was flavorful with hints of basil and a drizzle of balsamic vinegar.what stands out about this spot is they employ workers with disabilities. such a great opportunity for the community. i love this, and the food was so delicious and service fast and friendly. the ambiance is very coastal chill vibes. clean and spacious. cute outdoor patio with sunshades outside.will surely return next time i'm in the area with a hankering for a sandwich!

Amazing place to go for coffee in morning. Love how adorable the place is. Just wish I knew the offered ice coffees, didn't know due to not showing on the menu. But will know for next time.

I had the BLT and my friend the chicken pesto both so so good! The chicken pesto is so juicy pairs well with the salad and the BLT went perfect the soup of the day. The food the smoothies and the coffee was delicious can't wait to come back!

We love this place! Lots of available free parking in the back lot (enter from Vanderbilt), cute decor, super friendly and helpful staff, always clean, and there's a big outdoor patio that is dog friendly! Our pups love the yummy peanut butter dog treats! The food is always delicious and the cookies are the best - big, soft, freshly made, and tasty!
