Murphy's Pub At the Belmont

Blimey!! What a cute Irish pub!! I loveeeee Irish pubs! The whole vibe and dark, coziness that usually comes with the experience. All the clovers and colors of the Irish flag (green, white, orange). It's just a great time! The food and service I experienced were both good. And my friend's enjoyed the alcoholic beverages. I really liked the staircase entrance to get to the pub. Adorable.

Just beer and wine no whiskey so it loses a star for that. No Harp on draft or Smithwicks the only Irish beer was Guinness. But they do have cans or bottles of O'Hara's Stout and Wexford plus a ton of other cans of beers from all over the place. Food is sandwiches and salads mostly. Nothing too exciting but satisfying nonetheless. Service was great and the patio overlooking Second St from the second floor is nice for late afternoon drinking.

I love Murphy's!! It's a great place to sit out in the balcony and watch people along 2nd Street or inside watching a game. To me it's a hidden gem, their sandwiches are piled with meats and cheese, plus it comes with a side salad, chips and salsa, or potato chips. It's a real bargain. My go to is the shore shuffle minus the center bread, squaw bread double toasted provolone with a side salad. The ranch dressing is so yummy.They have pickled eggs that I think beat Joe Jost's. I ask for no black pepper (my preference)Their pop corn is irresistible, once an order passes you you'll understand. Beer is cold and plenty of choices and the locals are cool, eh me being one of them.Oh it's dog friendly to boot!!

There was an absolutely beautiful view of the gym below us on one side. On the other, an adequate view of second street.

I normally love this place but had the worst experience today! Bartender took a very long time to take order and did not greet me upon arrival. She told me a sandwich would take 40 minutes because someone else ordered food? Don't totally understand that. Such a disappointing experience!

The bartender shortchanged me and I didn't get a receipt. Sketchy place that will take their own tips from you.

Great selection of beers. Friendly staff and really good sandwiches. The Rueben and tuna are highly recommended.

Lunch Saturday Feb 22,2025 This Pub is the best *Deli-Style "Sandwich Shop on Second Street...Why?Murphys sells LOTS of sandwiches.My fave is The Tuna.Imo :They serve The BEST Tuna sandwich in LB.No one comes close.Different this time: a ZERO Alcohol beer that tastes like REAL beer(Made by Sam AdamsWife & I mix a Michelob Ultra in spare glass= DeeeLish. Murphys has a large selection of beer and has a Free "loyalty"Program than can earn Swag"Well behaved Dogs can sit with owners on the Large outside "view" deck.This is a Local owned business.

Zero stars. I tipped 50% on a tab for 6 people, we maybe got there about 11:20pm they close at 12am on a Friday. Felt super rushed to get out right at 12am. Thought maybe we'd get 5 to 10 more minutes to finish the beer we bought instead of getting rushed out. There was 5 of us. Definitely won't be back. Should have saved my money for elsewhere.
