Moonrise

This review is a couple of months late. I decided to come here while I was visiting Long Beach because they have vegetarian options and ordered the vegan spring rolls (I requested no sauce because it contains peanuts). It was $8.66 when including tax/tip.Unfortunately, the spring rolls taste quite plain in flavor and I wish there were more strong-tasting ingredients including it, since I'm assuming the sauce would've been what really carried the flavor. However, the tofu was crispy.I asked about the drinks while I was there and the person who took my order had told me the boba drinks, like strawberry and berries lover, are not caffeinated, which is nice if you are looking for a decaf option later in the day.They have some indoor seating like a couch, though I chose to get mine as takeout and walk further away to a park to eat.

Located on a sluggish part of E Broadway just west of Atlantic, Moonrise Vietnamese restaurant serves a very tight set of dishes, focusing on apps, rice dishes, and Bahn Mi sandwiches.Stopped inside for lunch on a Monday afternoon, and there was some seating inside. The picture menu is broadcast electronically above the kitchen, and once you are ready, you place and pay for your order at the front register. In about 10 minutes, they will deliver the food to you. I had come here for the Bahn Mi, so their Combination Sandwich ($7.95) hit the spot. The Vietnamese Baguette was perfect, light but crispy, airy but firm enough to hold the ingredients (would love to use this bread for all sorts of subs and hoagies). All the pickled vegetables and herbs were great, fresh and crisp. And there was just enough pate spread to give it that funkiness, mixed with the sourness of the vegetables. There just wasn't much meat (one thin slice of each promised protein), but reasonable for the price.I also got the shrimp spring rolls ($6.95 for two), and they were massive, bigger than what's I've ever gotten at a Vietnamese restaurant before, about the size of a Taco Bell burrito (deserving of two hands while eating). The taste was ok (wish they had mixed the ingredients more by cutting the vegetables more finely...the cucumber spear was quite thick and could dominate every bite....the taste of the shrimp was overwhelmed). It came with a good peanut sauce.Everything was served as to-go, even though I ate it in-house. They also have a selection of flavored teas and coffees (too strong for me), but were kind enough to give a small glass of complementary iced tea for dine-in (the reusable glass was the only thing I returned...everything else, I self-bussed). I was whistling happy tunes after this meal while walking home, especially after the two previous misses.

Was walking down Broadway looking for a cup of coffee . Lo and Behold ... peeked into Moonrise coffee bar |Bobba | with Yummy menu ! It is very quaint , quiet , and , zen . Perfect to charge your technologies and pause for a bagel and a cup of coffee that is made from espresso machine . Great customer service , very nice options for a quick bite or food to go. It has got charging station option for your tech devices :) which I super appreciated . Many stools to sit with high countertops , and tables to study , read, whatever your choice of digressing is. It's got nice jazz playing in background , super clean and welcoming . Check it out !

Came here for the first time and was greeted by stacey she is so welcoming and very passionate about her business This place is well decorated they even have outlets which is a great area for studying Stop by and support small businesses

We had vegan rice noodles and Thai green tea. The food was good but it's too pricey for the quantity. :( 3 stars for the food vs price and quantity.The ambience was cute. 1 more extra star for the ambience and friendly staff.Minus one star for - lot of plastic usage and no recycling bins. :( I wish, they were mindful about pollution.

My husband and I stopped by this place today and we were immediately greeted with a warm welcome by the owner Stacey who is so so passionate about this business. The drinks and vibes in here so so immaculate. Stacey, I hope your business flourishes and grows to be just as big as your heart is.

The service is always wonderful and although I do not know her name, the lovely woman who helps us out every time we go is the sweetest! Always so happy and kind. The ambiance is great too! It's trendy and very clean. We usually get a milk tea with boba and thai tea. The boba is seriously scrumptious and the pork bánh mì was absolutely delicious. This place is a true gem.

Amazing food. Service is fantastic(:Vibe is nice to come and chill for a smoothie or grab a sandwich.
