Best French Seafood place in LA. You feel in France. Great prices for wine and a huge selection of seafood. Also they have a store next to the restaurant that you can buy French Cheese and other delicacies.

Man, I was really a loyalist at the spot. Any time I'm at the market I buy about four black cod (sablefish) fillets. Two of my last three trips have been plagued with worms. I know worms/parasites are a reality when it comes to fish, but just not something I want to get used to finding each time I fork through my fish. Probably won't visit anymore.

I really like the seafood selection here. During the height of the pandemic they always had a nice selection and I didn't have to brave the grocery stores. I usually get either caviar or the black cod fish. They don't always have a stock of it, and once they had some and didn't want to sell it to me because of the condition of it. I think the counter people really want to make sure you receive high quality product. They also take the time to take pack your purchases well here.

Great spot for oysters! As a oyster fanatic I enjoyed the different types of oysters offered and the very knowledgeable server charcuterie board was great but small. Clams were meaty and broth was flavorful. Would suggest having toasted French bread to go with broth.

This place saved the day recently, as it was the only place in the area that was selling dungenes crab! Stopped by to buy a crab here and although I paid more than I wanted to, it was worth it!! Amazing taste and great quality. I saw so many other kinds of shell fish I wanted to buy, so I will surely be back!

Classy upgrade and improvement from the old market. However I miss the year round clam chowder. BUT picking your own fish or lobster and having Monsieur Marcel cook it is divine fun.

Hands-down, the best fresh seafood in town. The staff is extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Almost anything you desire can be special ordered. They will clean and fillet on premise while you wait, or you can put in your order, shop around the farmers market/the Grove and come back later to get it. They always have a great selection of local, sustainable wild fish. The oysters, mussels and clams are so fresh, you can taste the sea! Wonderful selection of caviar as well as smoked salmon. I heard through the grapevine that they will be offering a special this summer... 10% off your purchase when you purchase something at Huntington Meats (the butcher next door) ~~~~ and viceversa... Who doesn't love saving money on quality beef and fresh seafood. Win-Win! Surf & Turf Baby Summer.

This is definitely my new favorite spot: fresh seafood location in West Hollywood! We went on Sunday afternoon had some fresh oysters, some fresh shrimp. Paul was an amazing host really made us feel great and the owner came and greeted us!it just felt like a great French patio ambience like you only find in the ocean side cities in the south of France but instead you're in the middle of the farmers market HAHA! We had the burrata salad : chop the tomatoes smaller pleaaaaaaase the pieces were too big to enjoy. Will be coming back with more people. They were also nice to my dog and gave her water. I wouldn't say the farmers market is dog friendly tho. I just had her because. Sunday's :)Wine was delicious they have a great rosé!

I went to Marcel Gourmet Market to pick up Alaskan king crab and decided to stop in the store to buy some champagne. Someone working there approached me and asked what I was looking for and I responded. Another male working there comes up and as I state the kind of champagne, in the nastiest condescending manner he says he never heard of it. He then condescendingly asks what region and what grape. I didn't know and stated as much. The first guy then pulls out his phone to look up Mailly and realizes it is in fact a champagne. Regardless, they clearly didn't have it and I selected something that might be similar. As I was walking through the store selecting additional items for purchase two people followed me around until I checked out. Their behavior was dehumanizing, discriminatory, and completely unnecessary. I would have preferred that they ask me not to enter the store because people who look like me are not welcome. This kind of behavior makes me want to stay home and away from the low side of humanity. While the king crab legs look amazing, I will never frequent this place again. If you are looking for great caviar with exceptional service, Absolute Caviar is AMAZING. To aid in our selection they offered a taste of various options. All of them tasted great and we were able to easily settle on our favorite.
