Dinner with a friend with their FB special buy one get one free burger OR brunch offer. Main parking lot was pretty full but not a lot of folks at Misto. Greeted right away as there were plenty of tables to choose from. We were handed menus, drink order taken and a small bucket of bread and an Olive tapenade/olive oil spread. I ordered the California Burger and my friend ordered the Classic Cheeseburger. Both came with a cole slaw and dill pickle slices. I had sweet potato fries. She had classic fries. The menu says sweet potato fries can be substituted but it doesn't say for an additional $3.59 nor did the waiter mention it. The portion of sweet potato fries was less than half of the side of French fries. Although both were delicious, it should have been mentioned in the menu and by the waiter. Burgers were healthy in size and delicious. Cole slaw was from a jar and didn't taste good. Thanks for the BOGO offer but still upset about the unpublished substitution charge. Ok, bye.

Came for lunch with my mom and based off of other reviews, I got the "World Famous Fussili Bucati" which contains chicken, bacon, onions and is tossed in a sun-dried tomato cream sauce. It was a generous size and delicious! I would come back for that dish for sure. My mom got the almond crusted sea bass, which came with mashed potatoes and streamed spinach. I snagged a bite and I liked it, but both of us found the Marsala sauce way too sweet. I would put it on the side if I was to order that again. Service was attentive and friendly as well.

Still a quaint, little hidden gem in the Hillside Village on Hawthorne Boulevard right before you head up the hill. A nice place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I always recommend the tomato bisque. During lunch, you can get a soup and salad combo. the service is quick and professional. I had the tomato bisque and a calamari salad. Both were very good.

Service- A+Food-A+Coffee-A+Ambiance-A+Location-A+ Our first time here and what a great experience. Will definitely be back!! The food was better than it seemed or looked, it looked great but tasted even better!

Went to claim the free burger /brunch and they did not honor. False advertisement to entice people to come?

Misto is a cute and hidden cafe in South Torrance's Hillside Village.Lately our timing has been good on arrival at the last couple of eateries.Upon arrival, the Mr. and I had our choice anywhere for outdoor or indoor seating. There was only one other couple dining in for linner (late lunch or early dinner lol). On a hot south bay day, there were a lot of flies in their outdoor patio so, outdoor dining was not looking good. After us, more diners came in and sat indoors and out.We sat somewhat close to their bar and TV with a soccer game on. The wait staff were super nice and attentive. They brought us bread and oils to start out. A little fly did come by that I had to shoo away w/my hand.As for the mains, it reminded me of 3 star corporate diner type places. My club sandwich was kinda tasty and I liked the shoestring fries. The Mr. chose the chicken ravioli and a tomato bisque soup. Both alright and not too impressive. Ravioli needed to be seasoned better.Ambience is chill. I liked their jazz and swing music on their playlist. Will we return here? Probably not but, hope they can make adjustments for the better.

Food is very good. Portions are big and prices are good. Service is perfectly attentive and personable and they're very nice. Don't want everyone to know about this hidden neighborhood gem but they deserve to get a great following! We had the shrimp and avocado quesadilla and breakfast burrito. Both are so tasty But my fave is the bread basket they bring to the table. If I could I'd order another one and pay for it!

Went for the first time on a Saturday had a Facebook deal of buy one burger get second one free. I was pleasantly surprised with a small bucket of freshly baked scones . Mmmm so good . Ordered burger to dine in and second to go for my roommate. Burgers were fantastic with a side of golden crispy fries. Service was excellent. Young man with curly hair forgot name . My bad.... On my second visit , I was given another deal for a free pizza with entree purchase. My friend got the margarit pizza and I got the Trio Misto pasta . No scones during the week but, some cold bread with a type of bruschetta I think it was. The bruschetta was good but, I think warm bread would have made it taste better . The pasta and pizza needed some flavor . I didn't read pasta came with fried onions... I gave it a try , didn't complement the pasta for me that is. We ordered a cream brûlée ... that was not so good either. We will give it another try on a weekend for those scones and try the brunch and see how that goes . Otherwise I'd stay away from the pizzas and pastas . My friend concurs. Again service was excellent, ambiance is a simple dive cafe , looks pet friendly. Heater lamps outside. In conclusion, we will give it one more try but, order differently.

This restaurant goes back decades in Torrance. In recent months it issues a BOGO deal through Best Buys Guide. I gave it a try today. It was an extremely uncomfortable experience. I arrived to a completely empty dining room. Yes, no other customers there! I discussed the BOGO with a waiter, while an employee seated at the bar within earshot offered to help me return to parking with a ToGo parcel. So much for courtesy that went down hill rapidly. Required to buy two pricey drinks I elected not to use the BOGO. While waiting for my entree, I asked for bread. Pre-sliced bread arrived in a bucket with oil dip. Each slice was stale! The waiter arrived to say it was "all the bread we have". Then a different bucket arrived with about the same texture, stale to the touch. I ordered a pasta entree with protein chunks; however, the bits of "filet mignon" were so tough it couldn't have been filet. Ditto for the bits of shrimp. Then I noticed the deep well of "oil" possibly olive oil, about 1/2 inch across the bottom of the plate separated from the pasta entree.That's right, fettucine isn't prepared with an "oil" barrier! I asked the waiter to remove the oil. I take meds for processing fats, so this was dangerous for me. Suddenly the "ass't mgr," who had previously sat at the open bar nearby, arrived, seized my plate to remove the lake of oil. He didn't go to the kitchen, but scraped my plate visibly, whilst attacking me. I was "wasting" his food and he would not tolerate "wasting" food. He wasn't going to charge me for the order, but neither was he returning the plate for me to resume. He would prepare something different for which he would charge me. Futher, "he's had nothing but trouble from me since I entered the restaurant." I left the restaurant immediately.This establishment is obviously hurting for new customers; hence they repeat a BOGO coupon for months through the holidays. Seems to me rudely attacking a customer for unappetizing food and unsatisfactory hospitality is the real issue here. A BOGO coupon isn't going to help this restaurant. The personnel also thought nothing of wasting my time!

Amazing food and the service was excellent! Quaint restaurant, very nice for date night.
