I had Mi Tierra bookmarked for a while and decided to check it out for lunch. We were fortunate to find street parking very close to the restaurant as there is no parking lot.The interior was smaller than I expected but still had a good number of tables and was clean and cozy. Service was friendly though we did converse exclusively in Spanish. The menu was large.Prices were definitely not cheap but portions are very generous. The soups came in large deep bowls and the baleada was HUGE. We ended up having leftovers enough for a whole second meal.We were served tortilla chips to start bathed in a creamy sauce and powdered cheese. We ordered tamarind and passionfruit water for drinks, which came in large glasses; the tamarind was not tart enough for my tastes but was not bad. Both the sopa de caracol and sopa de res were excellent, and came with rice and choice or tortillas or fried sliced green plantain (tajadas). The tomato and egg breakfast dish was great, and the baleada was tasty albeit salty. All of the various banana and plantain forms were yummy, and the flour and corn tortillas were freshly made and delicious. At the end of the meal, lollipops came with our check. There is a $1.25 surcharge for paying with card. Probably the one major gripe is that there was a considerable wait for our food, over 30 minutes for sure; just don't come in a hurry and appreciate that everything is made to order!Would definitely consider returning for Honduran food in Long Beach, equally good as the other Honduran restaurant in town.

This apparently struggling authentic Honduran restaurant needs to be shown some love. It is not new yet has almost no yelp reviews. It was almost empty when I walked in. I am adventuresome and decided to take a chance. The decor is nothing fancy. Not warm and inviting. It's a restaurant that appeals to their countrymen and women. A family place. I don't speak Spanish and I think none of the 4 female employees speak English. I pointed at what I wanted on the menu. The pupusas are $4 to 5 or 6 dollars. Most entrees are $15 to $20. The 2 pupusas were doughy and a little burnt. I did not receive enough curdita, what I call Honduran coleslaw. I asked for more but we failed to communicate. Next time I will bring a friend who can translate. They tasted ok but not wonderful. I have only had Salvadoran pupusas when I lived in los angeles. I am a long beach Honduran pupusa eating newbie.Next time, I will have my friend who has lived in 3 or 4 countries in Latin America explain the menu. The menu selection looks interesting. Much different than Mexican tacos, burritos, etc. I will update this review when I dine here again with friends and share food.

I've came here many many times! My very honest review, is that it's a hit or miss depending on how the cooks are feeling that day. The servers are always super nice and welcoming! Drinks are always 100/10! Especially Las Aguas Frescas (Fresh Fruit Water), Agua de Maracuya is one of their best! As well as their Banana Licuado (Smoothie). Definitely recommend! As much as I appreciate their welcoming service and refreshing drinks, it's only when I place an order that I'm uneasy about returning. From the time I've returned, I always see multiple cooks in the kitchen. Yet, almost always I'm waiting around 40-55 minutes for a one/two person meal, even for TO-GO orders. THAT'S a bit of time to wait for food. More often than not, I don't mind waiting ... however, when I do finally get my food this is where the hit or miss comes in. The food can either be bomb that day or it can be over seasoned/ over cooked. I have seen their potential on the HIT days, so it's super disappointing to experience their food on the MISS days. I moved to Long Beach back in 2022, the first year the food here was great! It went a little down hill after that, I have to be honest because I'm such a foodie and have seen the potential they carry here! I will continue to give this business a chance in light of supporting a Family Owned Central American Business

Food is good. The ambience is also good they could use of extra help in the front to to deliver best customer service because once it gets super busy, you're expecting weight for food is 30 to 40 minutes I had a sopa de caracol a few days ago that I thought was re-warm from the day prior because vegetables in the soup were falling apart, and that kind of ruined my meal there that day, but can complain about all their other food. It's authentic and wonderful will give a try again.

Great service, tasty food, and good ambiance. I got a baleada and it was a good size, the pollo frito con tajadas was bomb! My jugo de Maracuya was just right. Thanks Mi Tierra K-tracha! Will recommend

this place is always a hit or miss the food never taste the same. It's never consistent. I've bought several people to eat here and I can never get the same taste that I get the first time. we had a fish and chicken plate. The fish plate was delicious but the tajadas( fried plantains were soggy). unfortunately the chicken plate was not good, not seasoned. It tasted like the oil it was fried in. The tajadas were very soggy. It was drenched in sauce, and I even asked them to make my plantain chips extra crispy to avoid them being soggy, and they were still so soggy and stack together like if no one separated them in the fryer which makes it uncooked and unpleasant to eat. The baledas were underfilled or the tortillas were rolled out too thin. The waitress hardly checked on us. She only came to give us our drink in the beginning when the food took 30 extra minutes to come out.
