Mendo TO GO - Long Beach

Had a turkey avocado sandwich and everything in it was so fresh! Their salads here are all really good too.

Stay away food poisoning alert ordered the Chimichurri Steak & Bacon sandwich got super sick 8 hours later disgusting watch your guys food quality watch your workers I see why you have 3 stars these sandwiches are trash!

I think I got food poisoning from this place. It's possible. When I ordered Door Dash! I had no idea it wasn't coming from an actual restaurant. Also, the salad had missing ingredients and the sandwich wasn't prepared properly with wrong sauce. It was full of mayonnaise and the sandwich doesn't come with mayonnaise. I won't be ordering again, love MF but I'll do a different location and pick up myself.

I usually love their salads but the last time I went the my got my order wrong by adding chicken-I'm mainly plant based so it was a bummer to pick up my order and realize there was meat in it. Luckily I'm not super strict but it did put a damper on my experience. I would still go again because their salads and sandwiches are great- quality ingredients and they usually taste great.

So maybe I just didn't understand the set up. We drove out there to see a building in an industrial area. Inside there were two machines with touchscreens. They listed about eight different food companies and from there each food company had several different menu items. This is not at all what I was thinking Mendo Farms was going to be. It wasn't even called Mendo Farms. It was called the Daisy Café. Basically it was like a GrubHub DoorDash pick up center. We left.

I ordered Mendocino farms through DoorDash for dinner and our order was prepared and delivered so quickly!The Caesar salad was delicious and packaged so well. The salad was perfect with the crispy quinoa, creamy avocado, and tangy Caesar dressing. My boyfriend chose the summer sweet corn and chicken sandwich and it was possibly one of the most delicious sandwiches I've ever had. The chicken was doused in a delicious sauce that had a little bit of a kick to it. The sandwich is messy, but all the best sandwiches are. I'll definitely order again and try other menu items!

I've been a big Mendo fan since about 2011. So I was super excited to hear that they were opening a location in Long Beach! ...well, kinda. I guess the latest trends in the restaurant world are ghost kitchens or virtual kitchens, facilities that operate as take-out and delivery only. From what I can tell, multiple restaurants share the same facility at 1388 Daisy Ave in Long Beach, Mendocino Farms opened their first virtual kitchen location just last month.I've ordered from this location on two occasions now. My first experience was ordered through the Mendo website and delivered via 3rd party delivery. My second experience was also ordered online but visited the building for pickup. Both occasions were super delicious! It also included tamper-resistant labels on all containers. One interesting thing to mention about the pickup experience was that this location is in an industrial area in a very nondescript building. The only sign visible is one that reads "Food Pickup." I didn't see a sign for Mendocino Farms or any other restaurants operating out of this virtual kitchen. There was one cashier that greeted us though we didn't need to go through him to get our food. We received a text message about our food order with a locker number. All we had to do was open the correct locker and that's where our bag of food was waiting for us.Through all my years of Mendo-ing, I've ordered practically everything vegan on their menu. But for this location specifically, I've had the following:- Mrs. Goldfarb's Unreal Reuben (no cheese) https://bit.ly/37dgZc7- IMPOSSIBLE Burger Queen https://bit.ly/3gHh2jj- Mama Chen's Chinese Chicken Salad (subbing the chicken for tofu)- Pickles & Dill Potato Salad https://bit.ly/347iuXsI was kinda bummed that my salad lacked the wheat tortilla which was supposed to be included but didn't receive. But who needs the extra carbs anyway. The salad totally hit the spot without it. At first glance, the container looks small. But looks are deceiving with this one because this was a huge portion for sure!The vegan reuben is legit! I've had this at other locations on two other occasions. I compare all vegan reubens to Locali's vegan reuben and Mendocino Farm's version definitely ranks up there! Placed my order online, while picking up asked for additional sauce but was told she must be in a bad mood because she said no and was rude, she said I should have paid for it. There is no way to pay for additional sauce and don't give options for other sauces. I did Ask for an additional salad dressing but didn't receive it, when I asked For the side dressing they said she told them no because they were short on sauces and couldn't give and I should Pay for extra. This is completely ridiculous..never again will I order From this location. After paying $25 for 2 items I should Be able to get the extra dressing I asked For without the hassle and rudeness and being dismissed!I'm sooo disgusted!!! I just went back to eat my food and on the bread near the lettuce was a bug, it kinda blended in but when you look into it you can see the legs. This is completely ridiculous and disgusting!

The food is excellent. I usually order on my lunch through UberEats and on 3 different occasions, my driver is sitting at the restaurant waiting for our food. On those 3 occasions, the driver always claims it is this location that takes a while. I don't order a lot of food so it should not take long to prepare. But my lunch is 45 minutes and I have to wait over an hour and a half to get my food? That is not acceptable for the job I have.

i doordashed from this location and asked my driver to get me a side of bbq sauce. They told the driver no and I had to pay extra for sauce yet they offer no option on their door dash menu to order sauce. Shows their staff is not knowledgeable about the menu and the driver said they were rude about it. Do not door dash from here if you want special request. They will not accommodate you.
