I always try to check on restaurants that I ordered from in past- to make sure they're up to my personal standards of food preparation, taste and of course customer service.My most recent experience was on 11/26/84.I ordered my personal favorites of the Lechon Combo (fatty with garlic vinegar sauce instead of liver sauce) and an additional 7pc Lumpia Shanghai (with garlic vinegar sauce instead of sweet and spicy chili sauce).Before placing the above order- I called the restaurant and talked to Bryan- asking if they have a smaller portion size of the Kare-Kare (beef)- which fellow Yelp Elite Reviewer raved about- Bryan unfortunately said they prepare in Kare-Kare (beef) at the time of order in the normal size- but they do have sometimes Kare-Kare (pork hock) at their food counter- which they did when I inquired and without me asking- he said he'd provide me with a complimentary sample of- which was very much appreciated.All items that I ordered as well as the complimentary Kare-Kare (pork hock) was very tasty, good portions along excellent customer service was provided.Looking forward to my next order and I'll be ordering Bihon Noodles for the new year- again please support your local businesses.

Homestyle filipino cooking that all the filipinos come to enjoy. My friend's family is filipino and her mom/her mom's coworker recommended this place to us in my journey for some authentic no frills filipino eats. We got a variety of things, but the standouts were of course the lumpia shanghai (they give you SO many!), the oxtail and the pancit. Nothing was too spicy, and the staff was so friendly helping us order and maximize what we could get for the lowest price. The adobo was quite good too.Would come back if I was craving authentic no frills filipino eats, though it's hard to compete where I'm originally from as I live near a little manila of my own in NYC. I think this a great bang for your buck and the place is quintessentially filipino. They also have halo halo which would be great to try one day.

My new fave Filipino spot. Good size portions and great menu like I am back in the Philippines. There was a banquet going on for a birthday so most of the restaurant was closed off. There were only a few tables for people to dine in.Will definitely come back. Kare kare was bomb!!

Attended a big family birthday party here and we had a great time! Bryan was so nice, handled all the decorations, and was quick to respond when we were in communications about a slideshow we wanted to play during the party. The food was delicious, and they had a good variety for the party. It was buffet style but they had people serving everyone from each dish. They even had two dessert options! There was no air conditioning though which made it a bit uncomfortable but they did have several fans going and I saw staff moving them around throughout the party.

This use to be my favorite restaurant. I likeTheir chopsuey and halo halo. After the covidSurge in 2020. Their prices went ridiculouslyHigh. Ambiance is ok. Parking is small. serversNeed more training. Food is just mediocre. If you want fair prices. This is not the place to eat.

Located on Main Street in Caron, Maynila provides both a Fast Food (turo turo) experience through premade food on a steam table, as well as a classic Filipino menu and large sit down area for dine-in.We were in Carson on a late morning Wednesday, and our previous appointment recommended Maynila for lunch. Stopping in before 11, it was pretty empty but the steam tables were fully stocked so there must be a significant lunch crowd. The turo turo actually looked pretty good, but we had time so decided to sit-down and ask for a menu.They have all the classics and then some, but it can be a gamble eating at a place for the first time. The prices are clearly marked, but the portion sizes are not. Pretty much everything on the menu is over $10, with most in the 20's. Thus, the combo plates at the turo turo are the best deal, starting from $7.95 (1 item veggie) to $11.95 for 2 item, and I imagine most folks would do that. It is only for lunch though, and they close it down around 5 pm (though they do offer everything left for half price between 5 and 6).But we wanted freshly prepared food, so ordered from the menu. I love filipino prepared milkfish (bangus), and Maynila had the stuffed milkfish dish (vs the deep fried version which is a lot more common), so had to get that ($17.95). Our waitress warned us that it would take 45 minutes to make, which we were OK with since we knew it was being made fresh. The other dish was Pork Adobo ($17.50), which is also available at the turo turo. Rice is extra, and asked enough for 2 people ($5), which was at least 4 scoops.Both dishes were delicious. The bangus was a very large whole fish, mostly boneless (somehow, the producers have figured out a way to remove a lot of the small bones that used to make eating Bangus a very slow affair). It was stuffed with an interesting mix of tomato and banana peppers, then baked until cooked. Unfortunately, it was undercooked (could have used another 10 minutes or so, but appreciate them trying to get us our food as fast as possible...thinking the fish was bigger than normal and thus the misjudgement), so ate the cooked pieces (more than half) and brought the rest home (reheated/cooked in an air fryer and it turned out good). I'm just amazed at the value of this meal. One CAN overcook bangus, so a side benefit of the partial undercookedness is that the cooked pieces were just perfect. It came with the typical vinegar sauce, which was a great addition. Oh, the belly fat of the fish was included, if you like that part (I don't). The Pork Adobo was solid, with plenty of vinegar and soy to give a punch of flavor. It was a generous portion size, and was made with skin on pork chunks (the same cut used for lechon)...so it was very very oily/greasy. One absolutely needs to eat it with a lot of white rice. Next time, I'll also order some achara to help cut the fattiness.Our waitress came us a pitcher to serve water ourselves (which I always appreciate it), and brought out styrofoam take out containers for the large amount of food that was left over. We were too stuffed for dessert, but she gave us a small cup of complementary cup of ginataang, which was a nice thing to do. With the large eating space, generous portions, and good prices, Maynila would be a good place to host a party/event with Filipino food. Or just stop by to see what they have left at half price before dinner. I know I will.

We had our Ninang Abeng's 90th birthday party last Saturday June 22nd, Hawaiian themed. It was BEAUTIFUL!.. The place was very nice and spacious for an exclusive party of less than 100 people... It comes with DJ and karaoke!The food was DELICIOUS! Guests kept going back for more. Bryan and his crew were excellent! It was a perfect place for a perfect lady. The Matriarch of the family
