Maxwell Chicken Rice

We were pleasantly surprised by Maxwell chicken! Was recommended by a coworker to try their hainan chicken. Lots of parking and it's located behind the Popeyes. Upon entering, you order at the kiosk. There's a -$1.00 discount for dining in which is nice. A plus was that they had the Lakers game on. The manager/owner was super nice. Grabbing our utensils and picking up our trays for us. He always gave us a sample of their pork to try. We loved it and will be back to get that next time.The hainan/fried chicken combo came out fairly quickly. They gave us an extra piece which was super nice of them. The fried chicken was seasoned to perfection. It also came out piping hot. Can confidently say it's better than the Popeyes next door. The hainan chicken was really good. The poached chicken was cooked perfectly and juicy. In addition, the sauces and pickled radish/cucumbers were a perfect side. It also came with a side of chicken soup. Soup was flavorful/savory yet simple and comforting.We were so pleased with Maxwell chicken! We've already told a few of our friends and family to try them out.

Parking/Location:Easy to find, lots of parking. ADA accessible seating, but not on a cold day as it's pretty narrow inside. Food/Price:We had the fried chicken and Hainan chicken combo which is a staple here! Prices are what you would see for an average meal. I'd say median price, not cheap but not expensive. Service/Ambiance:Helpful and friendly. They have great recommendations and guided us to make a decision.

The space is minimalistic but the food is not!Their ordering tablet is left of the entrance with a menu above it for convenience. Although no seating inside, there were enough outside. THE FOOD. - Fried Chicken Meal | Woah, the chicken was perfectly crispy and insanely juicy. I was not prepared for the rice though; coated in chicken broth, it was incredibly savory. A side of creamed corn adds to the coziness of this dish and I felt the hot cup of chicken broth was meant to be poured for all over my tray. I also ordered a 1-hr egg which was essentially poached with a runny yolk. Highly recommend this dish!- Vietnamese Iced Coffee | A bit strong and I was expecting it to be more sweeter than it was. THE PARKING. Parking is free and had no issues with finding an open spot in front of the shop. COMING BACK?Yep, their chicken is worth the drive!

I'm gluten free and was able to eat the Hanan chicken as well as the fried chicken!!! So exciting! It was SO GOOD that I'll definitely be back!

Meh, I think if you've had authentic Hainan chicken in Rowland Heights or Sam Gabriel Valley, you may need to curb your expectations visiting this place.The broth for the Hainan chicken rice tastes like regular chicken stock, the rice seems to be just okay, and the chicken and sauces were good, but flavors were not very authentic. Service is quick, friendly. The shop itself was quiet, so we opted for take out.

Chicken texture was too tough and rice was too salty... will not be returning. My husband and I have been looking for hainan chicken rice that's an exact replica of Nong's in Portland but we haven't been able to find any so far... the search continues...

This is my 2nd time at Maxwell Chicken Rice and I can now officially say I'm a fan. Both the Hainanese Chicken and Fried chicken are very savory and flavorful. I personally prefer the fried chicken just by a smidge. I would recommend the 3 pc combo of either style. The food is made fresh so it takes a few minutes to come out but the staff has kindly offered to bring the food out both times I have been there.

Easy ordering through electronic kiosks near the front doorHainan chicken plate is delicious! The chicken is tender and juicy. The plate comes with rice and dipping sauces. My favorite is the spicy red/orange sauce, but mixing all the sauces levels up the flavor! The fried chicken is also well done here. Crispy skin with tender, flavorful meat. Can't go wrong with either option.The garlic noodles are flavorful, and I most recently added chicken to them to make it more of a meal. The egg noodles....The cream corn side is one of my favorites. The sweet crunch of the corn and its creamy texture was delicious. Order prep is quick, the staff has been kind, and talking is kept to a minimum since the ordering is through kiosks, but if you have questions, I'm sure they'll be happy to help.The inside of the restaurant is minimal, with no seating available. All the seating is outside under the patio. The outdoor seating is shared by the other food businesses next door.I'll be back.

Yup! Maxwell Chicken Rice that serves up delicious Singaporean Style Hainan Chicken Rice adds Ribs & Rice concept. Maxwell wanted to make sure everyone's tastebuds were covered and satisfied.Platters includes Rice and Salad or Pickled Cucumbers Korean Style Beef Back Ribs Garlic Black Pepper Beef Char Siu (BBQ Pork) Sweet Chili Pork RibsBefore I have to get into talking about the proteins of Ribs & Rice, their pickled cucumbers are so good! I love how their pickled cucumbers are seasoned well, a hint of spice and a really good balance of salty and a lil sweet. I have never tried pickled cucumbers this delicious and I normally hate cucumbers. My top two flavors include the Garlic Black Pepper Beef and Char Siu ( bbq pork) . The Char Siu is a great classic of Chinese BBQ Pork with a sweeten glaze and goes so well with a nice of rice and cucumbers. As for the Garlic Black Pepper Beef, these pieces of beef is ultra tender and instantly delicious. Overall, I am pretty excited that Maxwell added their Ribs and Rice menu of beef and pork. Drop by Maxwell today! Maxwell is located right behind the #Popeyes .Remember this spot is more of a take out spot but if you want to eat ASAP, there is a front patio to enjoy your food.
