Madero 1899

Another great meal at Madero 1899! We got seated fast and sat out on the patio. The weather was awesome and the service was great! We started off with the shrimp ceviche. It was spectacular! I could have happily had just that! It was clean and fresh tasting.I followed it up with a fried shrimp taco. It was bursting with flavor, the batter was light and crisp. I can't wait to get back!Great food, great drinks, great service!

My 5 girlfriends and I had bunched the other day. Two of us had the bloody Mary, which were delicious. Then we each ordered our own dish. I ordered their steak and eggs. The eggs were perfect, the potatoes were very salty but I ate them anyway, and the steak, which was ordered medium rare, had a portion of it that was very rare, so I didn't eat it that part. One of my friends ordered the French toast. She said it was delicious. The other gals informed me that their dish was good. I think overall, this place offers tasty food. I was the anomaly with my brunch dish. I'm okay with it. I want to come back to try the French toast. Oh, by the way, the service was wonderful. Our server was very nice and very attentive. He made sure our water bottles were constantly renewed. I appreciated him so much. I'm going to check out the dinner menu to see what they have. I like their vibe and their food seem pretty good.

We decided to try this spot out in DTF which is close to where I live. Theres so many restaurants in DTF that I haven't tried. The ambiance felt a bit different to us & maybe it was more so the layout of the space. However, I will say that the booth was a nice size and it was comfortable in that sense. The menu has some great options and I went with the burrito bowl. It wasn't the best burrito bowl I've ever had but I will say the carne asada was flavorful and my food came out hot with heat! That's great! Everything was fresh. The pineapple Agua Fresca was super refreshing and delicious. The service was great - it appeared that all the staff were attentive and work as a team. That was quite evident in how our table was serviced. I would return to try some of their tacos.

Great Food. You need a reservation unless you are getting take out. The kitchen and restrooms are spotless and the staff is top tier. Great with suggestions and the service has always been great.The mixed drinks are strong and yummy. Take a look at the dessert menu, not a bad choice there. On the main menu, you can get mushroom sub for any protein if you have a vegetarian in the group. My favorite is the Mole Chicken enchiladas, they are to die for! You will be happy with anything on the menu though.Love the dark interior and the art. a little loud, but great for a group of 4. an intent date night... Maybe, but maybe not. It depends of your date and how much talking you want to do.The parking sorry of sucks, especially on weekends. Large lot in the rear of the building, but you may still have to walk a ways.

Went in today to celebrate a family member birthday and the location is in a popular area in downtown Fullerton. Very nice inside and fast service. Food has always been pretty decent Mexican food. Been coming here for years!

I come here at least once a month during the week for happy hour. It's normally not busy the times I go. Their drinks are on point. Appetizers are good. The asparagus OMG are fire, main reason I come.

The food was just ehhhThe drinks took forever to come out and the place was empty... They ran out of margarita? And then subbed it for a mimosa flight? Which was eckk...The vibe is okay... nice private areas... would be cute for group get togethers.

Madero is amazing!! Super cool to find out the building has been around since 1899 - and this spot for over 15 years!! We loved their chips and salsa, queso fundido (cheese pull to the max!) and skinny margs to kick off our meal. We wound up getting the chicken fajitas and Birria taco, blackened fish taco, and fried avocado taco for our main. And WOAHH were we blown away!! These tacos were absolutely stuffed - highly recommend all 3, but it was great that the Birria taco came with a little cup of consome for dipping (or drenching, LOL). They have daily specials which you can check out on their website. Can't wait to come back for Brunch next time!

Madero 1899 is a lively and hip restaurant with bar and music lounge at night. Great patio area for a birthday dinner! Friendliest of services from hostess to server, Steven. The food here was delicious. Really enjoyed the larger portioned avocado tacos. Thank you to Steven for the side of jalapenos and habanero sauce for the extra spice needed! Some of the great drinks my group had were: the dragonslayer, tequila flight, and cucumber jalapeno margarita.
