Tiny restaurant. Add your name to the waitlist or if you have 8 in your group, make reservations. We went the week after lunar new year and it was busy. Our table was right by the cashier and it was chilly. Outside would have been warmer.Order off your smartphone using the QR code. I ordered a bunch of different dumplings and even the Peking duck. Lunch for 6 people came to $200. I knew it would be pricey but what irked me was $9 (NINE DOLLARS!!!) for 2 small pots of hot tea which they never refilled. Holy moly that's insane how much money they wanted for tea. I could have gotten a cocktail for that. Yes I'll spend $50 on duck but a pot of hot water shouldn't be on par with that. Is it the best dim sum I've had? No it's not. But when you're stuck in the South Bay, it's slim pickings. Overall it's not 3 stars but it's not really 4

Best Dim Sum in the South Bay. I love all their food. Once we had it for takeout. The second time we actually ate there for lunch. It was highly recommended. There are plenty of selections to choose from. They have a physical menu, but you order your food via QR code. The service was great. They are very attentive and make sure they place your food on the table once it's ready from the kitchen. The restaurant was packed for the late lunch crowd. I enjoyed drinking the jasmine teaIn between each dish. The green beans were fresh and had a slight crunch. Very flavorful. The noodles from the beef chow fun was melt in your mouth fresh. You can tell that it was made fresh. The shumei was epic as well. All of our food choices were delicious!

Absolutely delicious. I took my family and they loved it too. Coming from the Bay Area where there's a ton of dim sum places, this has it beat. The beef chow fun tastes fresh and it tastes like the noodles are handmade. The pan fried beans are crispy and full of flavor as well. This was an excellent vegetable dish.We also ordered for dim sum: Jumbo Siu Mai, Pineapple Pork Buns, and the Rice Roll with shrimp. All of these were amazing. When they say jumbo, they really do mean jumbo. It's double the size. The pineapple pork buns were a nice twist from the usual pork bun. It tasted like a savory dessert. I'd come back here againService is pretty good. It does it pretty busy though. It's a lovely atmosphere but looks like it can accommodate large crowds.

We alternate between here and Szechwan down the street. If you want modern trendy dim sum go here. (During the week, go here also )If you want old school carts, go to Szechwan on a weekend. Cool og ambiance. The pros here are the food sizes : they are huge. And the food comes quickly, no waiting for the cart to come by. The downside to that is that you don't order as many varieties since you get full so fast.... and the price are adjusted up accordingly. There is something quaint about the carts and the "surprise" that awaits in each one.... But you need time to enjoy that experience. Lunasia allows a quick lunch Either way, you can't go wrong - both offer amazing food and dim sum is awesome. Note you order via QR code Improvement idea: Wish the app let you pay on line also, that part of the experience could be improved.

We dined in on Saturday, 2/15/25 at the Torrance location. This isn't as big as the other location in Pasadena. We joined the waitlist on Yelp and proceeded to check in as instructed. As I entered the restaurant, there was a host at the counter and I waited to be greeted but she didn't even look at me, instead she proceeded to do what she was doing which was bad customer service. I finally got my turn. I told her I was checking in for Donna A and it was for 5. I accept that I made an honest mistake and forgot that my son wasn't with us for dinner that night. But even so, wouldn't my name be on the list? She kept saying there was no Donna and said that I needed to join the waitlist again. I was like, what was the purpose of the waitlist then? I showed her the notice I received to check in and she kept trying to argue. I was so annoyed and really disappointed with her unprofessionalism. They finally figured it out and we got seated. From there, it went well. The food was good. Our shumai came really late and was a bit burned on the outside. Otherwise, everything else was good. We ordered:-fried calamari -fried pork chops -fried wings-shrimp fried rice -beef chowfun- egg rolls -shrimp hargaw-hot and sour soup -long xiao bow (spelling?)The service was much better. The gentleman who helped us was efficient and took care of our needs so he gets 5 stars for that and thank you sir.The place seemed clean and the atmosphere was loud as the place was not that large. They also close early at 8pm. They are located in a big plaza and offer plenty of parking. They do have a big outdoor patio area but it seemed closed. Maybe if they open it up to customers then the wait would be much less. I don't know if we would come back at this location, first impression was not good.

We ordered for delivery and were satisfied! Even with the long delivery time, nothing came super cold or too soft. The shu mai and har gow are always stellar here and so large! I also liked the chicken feet and how glutinous they were. The congee and hot and sour soup were OK - did the job.Would order from here again!

That was SO delicious! As someone raised in the Bay Area, the Dim Sum here is spot on. They got it right! The place is not a banquet room so don't anticipate any large seating compensation. At most you'll get in your own family and maybe a couple more to fit in a table or booth. I mention this because that is a culturally-Chinese issue :) where we like to bring everyone to eat together. Just keep that in mind!As for the food here? It's really tasty. The dim sum is big too, so if you get four-- it's a big four. So around noon it will fill up quickly. --Another thing to keep in mind. The staff are nice enough, working hard, and constantly on the move. I would keep them in mind when the bill comes by. In summary though, it's worth checking out! Definitely! If you've been putting it off, just go :)Nicely done Lunasia! Time for a food coma!

I usually have a goto order when I go to Dim Sum places, so I ordered the Shrimp Har Gow, Shrimp and Pork Siu Mai, Shrimp Rice Noodle Roll, and Steamed BBQ Pork Bao. Other things we ordered were the House Special Stir Cucumber, Pan Fried String Beans, Crispy Shrimp Roll, Shanghai Pork Soup Dumplings, and Hot and Sour Soup. I feel like the dishes that should be considered a staple for them would be the Shrimp Rice Roll and the Pan Fried String Beans. My family really like the Siu Mai, and it's a plus because when the description says jumbo, they are not lying. I really hoped that I liked the Har Gow because that is the dish that I normally eat most of, but it fell short. I think when people describe Asian dim sum restaurants, they think of bad service, but staff here are very nice and attentive. The hot tea they serve is actually pretty good, just a heads up, you are charged per person. I know that they have different locations, but I have been to this location twice and they have not disappointed.

I do enjoy Lunasia very much, but I have to say that this is my favorite location! And I've been to ALL of them! I could bring my dog because they had a very spacious and beautiful patio that did not feel like you were just sitting in a parking lot. The service was quick, clean, and friendly. I also love that the mustard was already on the table because I LOVE Chinese hot mustard with my dim sum. We ordered the usual jumbo shrimp and pork Siu-mai and jump shrimp Har-gow of course. I was specifically craving the braised beef intestines and THAT was so perfectly tender. YUM.The only downside was that they ran out of white wine, so I settled for red wine. I understand that ordering wine with dim sum at 11am isn't customary but it was my birthday! :P
