I bought a slice of yema cake yesterday and decided to save it today, only to be let down because of this (pictured). If the people running the business is reading this, please be wary of the door because of the insects flying in and out that's making their way inside your bread cases.

Chocolate ube povloron! Yes, please. This place has polvoron like no other. It was my first time ever to have polvoron ube flavored and then coated with chocolate. So unique and so yummy! For this alone, I like this Luisa and Son Bakeshop.Aside from their polvoron offerings, they have the classic pandesal, cheese rolls, turon meringue and tarts. It's a good go-to Filipino bakery if in the area. Make sure to ask for a sample of their polvoron, because they do offer.

The search for the delicious pandesal has been found! In the west side of Long Beach is where this place has been hiding. This golden bread is fresh, warm out of the oven. I love how its sweet enough but not so over powering. $2.49 for 6 rolls is a steal. There are also ensaymada and other desserts you can choose from, I will have to come back for the rest.

Beware, this is not one of their legit locations. The quality is way below the original Luisa and Son. Everything taste different, in a bad way. The original Luisa and Son bakeries have logos on all their products, even on their boxes. The three Original locations are in Norwalk, Artesia, and Milpitas.

Wonderful service, excellent food, and staff is very hospitable and kind. Came here to place a large order of empanadas to cover a 3 day event. Lined up different people to pick up the empanadas, and food was hot & freshly made. Months later, am still receiving great remarks on those empanadas. It's best to come into the shop & place your order in person. Highly recommended!

I have never really set foot in this bakery, but I keep getting baked goods and Filipino snacks/food here from relatives, friends, neighbors when they visit me (I know I'm Filipino, but some other pasalabong would be great!..hint hint...j/k. No pasalabong needed, but if you insist). Anyway, the baked goods from this place are pretty good. It is very hard to find a good Filipino "non-chain" bakery (aka Red Ribbon/Goldilocks...nothing wrong with them, just prefer the mom and pops bake shops). I always get their empanadas and hopia. I love that they are appetizer size. Why? Because that means the caloric intake is not that big and they are great for parties and as a small snack! The only thing I ask is that when they box these treats, they should label what type of meat is in the empanadas. I usually have to guess when I get these pasalabongs. I'll stop by some day and try other things...

The customer service left a lot to be desired; the 2 employees were chatting as I walked in and didn't stop their conversation to assist.
