Love Long Beach should happen more often! Great music + great friends + $5 entry = amazing time

Another amazing festival this weekend in beautiful Long Beach. Follow their Instagram as they do many contests for free tickets. I won a pair this weekend and went both days. The event has grown and attracted more people which means more vendors, more food trucks and great vibes....however, my main reason for writing this review is that 2 friends got their phones stolen. One on Sat night and one on Sunday night. They were both bummed and nothing was found at lost and found. It amazes me that there are people at this event who would steal someone's phone. Just be aware of your surroundings and keep your phone in a safe place! Pick pocketers can be anywhere!

Love Long Beach is one of my favorite festivals of the summer. The vibe is friendly, chill, and fun. In case you aren't familiar the festival is a spiritual/woowoo vibe. Think vegan food, massage therapists, Reiki healers, meditation, yoga, talks and music stages with the most lit djs around. There's also a ton of vendors there selling everything from crystals and jewelry to clothing and hula hoops. Years back it was in a different location and free but with the popularity of the event they had to move to a bigger area which meant having to charge an entrance fee. Not a huge entrance fee but I know some people at first weren't happy with the change but I think the event is so worth the ticket price. The only hiccup is the check in. You buy tickets through Eventbrite but they don't check you in through the app, they don't look at your ticket or scan the QR code. Instead they have your name down on a list which slows the line down tremendously especially when sometimes they switch your first and last name. Regardless the fun of this event has me going back every year.

This was my first EDM festival I've been to since high school. My friend suggested I go with her and her boyfriend as I've been in a bit of a funk lately. I looked at the website and wasn't so sure...it kind of seemed like a hippie dippy yoga-ish new age sort of thing and I was pleasantly surprised that it was anything but. Sure there was some of that going on but the crowd was quite diverse, there were hippies, families with kids, ravers, goths, people of all ages and colors...lots of interesting vendors, great music, body painting and art. My friend and I spotted a rando wearing a watermelon shirt and he was kind enough to stop and chat with us about watermelon...lol...we even took a selfie together.

Never ever will visit such an event... I'm always very sober at any festival, this wasn't an exception. I've spent just a minute standing in the crowd at the main stage and you know what?... somebody has stolen my iPhone... Nowadays, when somebody steels sth I can somehow justify that, but what's the purpose of cheating iPhones locked and useless.. to ruin somebody's life???? I'm so disappointed and the festival is wasted

As a brand new resident of the City of Long Beach, I was super stoked to be able to participate in a community based event. Overall, I mostly liked the event and had an awesome experience. It reminded me a lot of my undergraduate experience at a hippie, progressive, and liberal college. Everything from the music to the whole "peace and love" vibe was super cool and chill. There was a great number of diversity from age to ethnicity. Everyone having fun and everyone getting along. There was a great selection of food too! What I loved the most was how spacious it was. Not once did I feel like it was crowded or my personal space was being invaded. The one thing I don't like, is that they turned this from a free event to a paid event. It's only 5 bucks and I would have no problem paying that if they would grant reentry. But once you leave, you're not allowed to come back. I went a little too early and was hoping I'd be allowed to go home for a bit and come back in the evening but was told once I left I could not return. Dear Organizers, please change this for next year!

So the name of this festival is a bit deceiving. I thought it was a festival to celebrate the LB community. You know, those kid friendly ones with jump houses, rock climbing walls, and the usual festival food stalls. Well, I got the food right, but "kid" friendly this festival WAS NOT. Still, I was pleasantly surprised. Upon entering ($5 fee, thank you event organizers for not robbing us), we were greeted by hippies and EDM music lovers to the sounds of drum and bass. The aisles were filled with stalls that mostly catered to yogis and hippies alike. There were two beer gardens with a line that probably had at least a one hour wait, at least three tents for folks to dance to different DJs playing EDM and finally several tents and trucks catering to your deep fried and festival food cravings. Food and drinks ranged from about $5-12. We got jipped by the belly bombz wings tent. Their wings and fries were good, but almost $9.50/order for a side of slaw with the wings??! Geez! No wonder they didn't have any prices posted on their tent. We really should've known better. Other than that, we also tried the funnel cake which for only $5 not only satisfied my cravings, but didn't break the bank. I wanted to give this festival 5 stars because the location and vibe were great. I mean, a mini EDM fest for $5 by the ocean and it only took us 30 mins to get in with at least 75 people ahead of us?! Can't complain about that! But anyway, -1 because all the private vendors eventually ran out of water and the only ones serving were the beer gardens. With the hot sun during the day and EDMers probably on something, really bad things could've happened. The organizers should have a separate tent just for water sale. They also need to work on making their alcohol lines run more efficiently. I'm sure it would boost sales by 100% if they were quicker to serve and collect cash. Looking forward to next year's event!PsCash only for the entrance fee.

Honestly I had no idea what to expect and when my buddy told me about it. I was like "is this an orgy?" he said "no!" it is a healing event and lots of kundalini yogis, will be going, among others with similar interest. "ppl wanting to heal" Ok! LOL! I am down, to explore a new adventure! It was a bit of a struggle to find it because of the mobs of ppl swarming w no parking near by. Then I took a a uber bike ride for a chunk of change and this dude took me to the entrance. At the time of my arrival, It was $10 to enter, cash only. It was pretty easy w no lines and no struggles of course they checked my purse. It was a beautiful day in Cali with amazing fun loving ppl just dancing. Lots of vender's with reasonable prices. For Saturday one of the Dj's blasted "Tones on Tails" WOW! I do not know to many peeps that know who they are and it was rad! Seriously can someone tell me, who was the DJ? It is funner to go at sunset for the obvious reasons. Lots of porter potties. Lots of food trucks and lots of awesome beautiful ppl. I saw vender's with CBD oil and creams among other holistic healing stuff. Chrystal jewelry vender's were very much present. Saw many little kids so it is family friendly too. Amazing marina view! If you are in S Cali this is a must event to experience. I look forward to next year love festival!

A pretty small event on the beach that celebrates LOVE! It located next to Rosie's dog beach, so expect lots of poochy love running around. They have a fenced off area with bars, but be sure to have A. Id wristband B. Cash... The lines are long! Make sure to bring a blanket and just find an open spot to set up shop. There are lots of tents offering shade. Some of the tents are for yoga, meditation and even massages. There's a DJ and what seems to be a dance floor, but there is also a small stage on the backside of the fenced area where bands are playing. The food tents are outside the fenced area, you can bring food in but no alcoholic beverages out. Lots of free stuff being handed out by those tents too! This is a cool small festival where people are just hanging out at the beach. Come with lots of love for your neighbor!

Great Festival but we carful at the After Hour Party ! Unfortunately it also attracts lot of thieves. Some guy was handling out Alcohol at that party somehow he smuggled in, he got very close to me. Later one I was missing my $200 sunglasses. Also I used my debit card there, I usually never ever use that card, turned out someone wrote down my numbers and trying to charge it :(
