Known as a neighborhood favorite, we were excited to try this place. The front of the house staff was great. Our server was attentive. The restaurant is very nice. The ambience is definitely one most folks will enjoy. It's clean, stylish decor makes for nice surroundings. We ordered some great dishes - the fennel salad, the roasted carrots, fennel sausage pasta, and the kids cheese pizza which had the most amazing crust. I do not recommend the Manhattan Sour - a bit too floral for me.

Love and Salt delivers an exceptional dining experience with a thoughtful menu and warm ambiance. The roasted carrots were beautifully caramelized, offering a balanced mix of sweetness and spice. The arancini were perfectly crisp on the outside, with a creamy and flavorful filling that set a high standard for starters. The bone marrow pasta was the star of the evening. Rich, decadent, and perfectly al dente, it was a dish that I'd happily return for. The Cadillac margarita pizza, with its fresh and vibrant toppings, was a comforting complement to the more indulgent pasta.Service was attentive and knowledgeable, adding to the overall experience. Love and Salt lives up to its name with thoughtful execution and delicious flavors.

Went for a date-night dinner before picking up a guest at LAX. The space is very cozy and welcoming. Our server was friendly and enthusiastic as we placed our order. We got the seasonal delicata squash that came with a basil sauce that was very reminiscent of pesto but a bit lighter. Thankfully the squash was light because the pasta and pizza we got were both fairly heavy. The pasta (Creste di Gallo Midollo) was finished with bone marrow. It was an unusual pasta shape and had a nice texture. We both enjoyed it but our appreciation of it lessened the more of it we had.The pizza (Duck Egg) was more consistently enjoyable - the crust was tender and pliable. The potatoes and rosemary balanced the richness of the duck egg well.

We came here for a company dinner and we got to try many things on their menu. We were seating in a cozy space upstairs with lots of wine decorations on the wall. The vibes are fancy and all the food are high quality! Pasta and pizza got the chewy fresh textures and salad had delicious flavors. My favorite dishes would have to be the radicchio salad (red cabbage, first time having this veggie and was amazed by the crunchy texture), mafaldine sugo d anatra (so creamy, flavorful, chewy), Japanese mushroom pizza (chewy and thin crust, made with high temp oven)! I ordered the crime by passion fruit cocktail but wished it was a little sweeter, had good passion fruit flavor. The service was great, they periodically filled our waters and came to get our drink orders.

All food was great. The chicken and fennel salad were my favorite. Dessert was pretty good. Service was good- we were on a time crunch and the team was able to accommodate our request to be as efficient as possible. Ambiance is warm and intimate.

My husband and I finally got a rare date night, and we couldn't have chosen a better place than Love and Salt. We've walked by it countless times since we are in downtown Manhattan Beach and were intrigued by its Bib Gourmand Michelin rating, so we made sure to book a reservation. Parking was easy in one of the nearby structures, and we were seated right away, even though the place was bustling. As pizza and pasta aficionados who have been to Italy multiple times, we have pretty high standards when it comes to Italian food, and Love and Salt did not disappoint. We started with the Spicy Soppressata pizza--SO good! The Calabrian chili gave it the perfect amount of spice, the sausage was flavorful without being too greasy, and the pecorino added a lovely richness. Plus, we loved that the meats are nitrate-free, which made the dish even more enjoyable. We also tried the Creste Di Gallo Midollo, where they freshly mix the bone marrow into the pasta right in front of you. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente, and the dish was as unique as it was delicious. The servers were incredibly attentive and helpful with their suggestions, which really added to the overall great experience. The highlight of our evening was when the staff surprised us with a slice of tiramisu for our anniversary--such a thoughtful touch that made our night feel extra special. We loved the food so much that we took a Margherita pizza home for our kids.Love and Salt made our rare date night memorable with its amazing food, nitrate-free meats, and warm, attentive service. We can't wait to return!

The ambiance here is a total vibe! It's pretty loud between the music and the chatter of the diners but it's a happening spot with great music! I highly recommend the stuffed shells. Service was quick and our server was great.

Got some love and a little salt for this joint! Came to this lovely restaurant in Downtown Manhattan Beach for dinner after work. This oozes with romantic vibes with a dimly lit house and candle light at each table. Even on a weeknight, this restaurant was super busy with working folk, birthday parties, and dates. It is a bit of a small restaurant, so definitely was loud with the full house. We started with the Fett'unta, which was their special grilled garlic bread. This was one thicc boi that was super crisp on the outside and doughy in the inside. We also enjoyed the meatballs as a starter (ate too quick to snap), but these weren't anything remarkable, just some good quality meat and sauce. Ricotta was an extra charge , and I don't remember asking for it, but oh well. For pasta, we selected the Creste Di Gallo Midollo (Bone Marrow Pasta), and we chose the Duck Egg Pizza for pizza. On their own, both are good, but paired with one another, it felt a little redundant and heavy. The Bone Marrow is a salty white sauce pasta, and the Duck Egg base cheese is fior di latte, and Parmesan and no tomato sauce. And the restaurant is called Love & Salt for a reason--we felt the love and a LOT of salt in the food. Again, the foods by themselves were good, but I'd consider trying the Spicy Soppressata instead to break up the oil and salt.I did enjoy the service. Our server was kind enough to give a thorough rundown of her suggestions which we went with for the most part in our choosing. She also made sure to ask if we were celebrating anything special (we were not that night). Parking is for the streets, but we parked in the Metlox plaza a couple of blocks down, and the blocks here are quite short. The lot is paid, but the rates are pretty cheap compared to LA prices. Overall, I think Love & Salt has a lot to offer, but I will definitely try to vary up the flavors next time so my choices don't feel too heavy on my palette. This spot has a lot of love and salt to offer you; this is a place I wouldn't skip!

This is the best italian food i have had in America. "Best meal of my whole trip" - my mom The space is very small but modern and decor is cozy. The food seems really seasonal and fresh. It was amazing. Highly recommend the vodka pasta and summer squash. I would recommend going with NO MORE than 4 people and you should definitely share plates because you'll want to taste as much as possible!
