Long Beach Beer Lab

The pizza was amazing (the garlic knots were too!) and our server was friendly!Very cool place! Glad it's open late.

Great atmosphere with a wide selection of brew, the Beer Lab also offers good eating too, but the food menu is more limited.I especially like the sourdough pizza crust. It's toasted just right.The server was pretty chill, and we almost had the whole place to ourselves on a Wednesday night this summer.Parking was no issue because they have their own dedicated lot.

Came here for the first time after passing by it for months and SO glad we finally did. Their sourdough pizzas.. my god! It was so delectable and heavenly. The crust was so buttery and soft with a nice crunch. We got the Margherita pizza and man.. the flavors of the sauces, the cheese, and garlic cloves melded so beautifully. The service was great as soon as we walked in. We were offered samples of any of the brews which was awesome. This joint is dog friendly and has cozy outside patio area with a ton of games to choose from to play with your family, friends, and/or date! Literally cannot wait to come back here.

Met up here with former coworkers - and had a great time.I arrived early after work, just before six. Parking didn't seem to be an issue. Found a spot in back in the small private lot. Saw bunch of street parking too. Free but just don't know what the enforcement hours are. Check the signs. Walk in. Order at the bar. Find a seat. Or switch that up if it's busy so you have a table. Or just sit at the bar. Not quite table service unless you have a tab open. Otherwise, you place your order at the bar. On that note, service was great. Everyone was attentive, friendly and nice. Even as business started picking up, the staff was on it. Ordered a pizza, half Pepperoni, half Margherita. Nice char. Decent amount of toppings. Also a salad. See pics. Food was good. Didn't pair well with the beers I had ordered but that's my fault. It's what I wanted and I was happy on both counts. This place has changed businesses several times over the years. Had a good time on this visit and hope this place makes it for the long haul. But if not, I guess I can always head over to the OG location.

The food is more of a quality not quantity situation. Small soft opening menu with excellent pizza. Good prices too - pizzas are $9-$11 which is like a slice price., they have a 1 salad and one sandwich on the menu. As before, very well made and interesting beers of fine quality.

I was surprised of how delicious the food was for a pizza parlor/ bar. All their entrees & appetizers had fresh vegetables. Pizza & sandwiches were perfectly baked & crisped. A wonderful ambiance for a group or intimate night out. Patio seating was quiet and accessible board games to enjoy.

I love to post only good reviews but this is a mixture of good and what could have been better. First...pizza is awesome. Honestly believe one of the best in LB. My negative is that when you tip on your order and it gets delivered to your table with with two plates and the employee walks away without any napkins or asking if they can bring you anything else it's a bit frustrating. Had to get up and walk to get napkins, cheese and peppers. Should have tipped myself, especially since the restaurant was quiet. Will I go back...yes. Maybe just an off day.

It pains me to leave a review without anything to show for it, but the Beer Lab's Zaferia location has been a rough sell in the past few months. Pizza deliveries were shut down one night due to a utilities failure, and yesterday I tried to order brunch in-house only to find that brunch items have been indefinitely paused. Running a taproom isn't easy, but posting a sign on the window or a note on the website for service interruptions isn't hard. The beer is always flowing, but coming here for the food is a dice roll which is a real shame because the kitchen serves heat when it's operational.

I love beer lab! The pizza is amazing. The service is phenomenal. KK has such a great personality and has us cracking up the whole visit. She's also prompt. My beer was never empty. Beer lab is such a gem.
