service: 5/5ambiance: casual diner with american classics that are reasonably priced. chill good spot to watch a sports game highlights:- anejo old fashioned (5/5): stiff, strong, just the way i like it- 10 shrimp walk into a bar (4/5): my server mel did a really good job of explaining the menu and daily special but decided on this - thankful she let me have the arugula on the side and subbed it with pasta instead - mel was very attentive and made sure my water was refilled and grabbed me pepper flakes, shoutout to her excellent customer service

2025. LA on fire. Stayed home. Even WFH. Stir crazy by the weekend. So, when a friend asked about grabbing dinner. No hesitation. Had to GTFO of the house. Old Town Torrance. Street parking. An underground parking lot too. Didn't see a meter or signs with restrictions. No issue finding a spot. Check for signage. I didn't. Didn't look when we left too. No ticket. Outdoor seating. A little chilly that night so we walked in. Without reservations. Told it's first come, first serve at the bar. So, my friend went to look while I put my name down. Ended up canceling that as we found two seats, open and cleaned right smack at the bar. Service was great. Even with how busy it was, the team behind the bar made sure to take care of us. Only one hitch, which I assume was the manager - coffee was served but wasn't hot. Not mine. I don't drink coffee. Manager took care of it right on the spot. Take a look at the pics. Had pasta. Needed something different from all the red meat I'd been scarfing down since before the new year. Salad and Pasta. And it really hit the spot. Huge servings but I still cleaned off both dishes. Initially the pasta was a little bland - but not so bad that seasoning didn't help. Pasta was al dente, like I like and the salad was chilled and crisp. Dressing not overpowering. Enjoyed the experience. Chill vibes. Friendly staff and good food. Can't ask for more. Other items on the menu I'd like to try out next time I'm there.

I've been here many times. Place was busy as this was the first time I had to wait for a table. Marilyn was a very kind server despite the large crowd and having to run all over the place. I ordered the Haunted Nachos. This was my first time ordering them with a protein as a typically don't and I realized they really don't need chicken or any meat. I actually like them on their own. The only thing I do wish is that Local Kitchen had a better variety or more exciting options of non alcoholic drinks. I don't drink soda and sometimes I want something more than an Arnold Palmer when I am not drinking liquor.

Local Kitchen did not disappoint. We met here for a Birthday dinner. We had a large group with a 5pm reservation. we were seated immediately upon arrival no wait time. The ambience here is warm and cozy Our server Daniel was awesome very friendly, talkative and attentive. The food is delicious with so many choices. We especially enjoyed the appetizers, Brussels sprouts, fried deviled eggs, spinach dip and guacamole and the arugula salad is yummy. Also Shout out to the bartender Jorge who made the best cocktails and provided excellent service.

We had the nachos with steak which was probably the best thing ever! It was the best nachos of my life so I highly recommend this. It was well seasoned with a good hit of citrus on the chips/salsa, meat was exceptionally well seasoned as well he appetizer as a whole. Again, it was the best nachos I've ever had and I'm a nacho aficionado.The AI Philly cheese steak was very good (subbed the fries for onion rings also very good!). The buffalo chicken sandwich was good as well.All in all great place to go and I would highly recommend this for any of us southbay people. Great service as well!

A nice little addition, to the small home town feel of old town Torrance. This little restaurant is not so little once you make your way in. The Buffalo Chicken Sandwich was bigger than I expected, and was delicious. My brother got the BBQ wings, we both found them to be average as far as taste goes, although the presentation was nice. The ambiance was nice, I definitely wouldn't mind going back and hanging out at the bar for a drink or two. The staff was nice and I had an overall good experience

I randomly stopped by Local Kitchen, and I'm so glad I did! The rustic vibe of the place instantly sets a cozy atmosphere. I ordered the wings and a burger, and both were incredibly delicious--definitely exceeded my expectations.As I walked past tables on my way to the bathroom, I noticed everyone enjoying their salads and pastas, all looking appetizing. The staff were super friendly, making the experience even better. I'll definitely be coming back to explore more of the menu! Highly recommend!

I found a new favorite restaurant in Torrance. Their menu is big with lots of regular seatings inside and lively bar area. All the food that my friends and I ordered were delicious. The portions were big and shareable. We ordered tater tots nachos with steak, chicken Parmesan with rigatoni pasta, sausage and ricotta pasta, and Tuscan sea bass. There are ample parking spaces by the street or parking garage right in front of the restaurant. The service was attentive and the food came out pretty quick. Overall I enjoyed my first dining experience here and will definitely return when I'm back in the area again. Give this restaurant a try, you won't disappoint!
