You won't find better Mexico city style food in all the Southbay. I stop by here for lunch whenever I'm in the hood. Like the other reviewers the quesadilla is my favorite as well. I especially like the squash flower (flor de calabasa), and the chili and mushroom (rajas con hongos) options. The homemade tortillas are to die for, and just one of these quesadillas makes a decent meal for me. Make sure to slather your meal with plenty of the delicious green salsa for the full effect. The fresh squeezed juices and liquados (milkshakes) are also a wonderful treat. The service is friendly and I get treated like family anytime I stop by. Once they even sent me home with some free tamales at Chistmas time. For you Long Beach Yelpers take the 10 minute drive to Wilmington and give this place a try, you won't be sorry.

this place is awesome! a little hole-in-the-wall in a semi seedy neighborhood. but the food is very authentic. i always order the quesadilla. as a side, order the beans & rice, made just like my mexican grandmother's!! ...but they close early, so go for an early dinner or lunch.

not really an expert on wilmington, but was pleasantly surprised by this hole in the wall restaurant. this place has the best quesadilla i've ever tasted, and i've tasted quite a few. the tortillas are homemade and you can tell; they are thick and fluffy; it seemed like pita, not a quesadilla; the place is family run and very cheap; the menus are all in spanish and the staff is friendly; i would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quick bite to eat in the harbor area.
