Had high hopes for this place but for what you get- it's way overpriced. It was already a problem with our reservation having to wait in a lobby with about 6 other couples just standing there all wondering the same thing.. where is the host? Who do we speak to, to check in for our reservation?? Someone finally came over and had us seated and she mentioned to us "sorry, the manager right there gets stressed out when there's too many people in the lobby." When we got seated, our server Frank Calderon C. took our drink orders and I said id like a guava margarita (I said this in Spanish) he corrected me and said oh it's actually guava ( in English accent). I was confused because.. isn't that what I said???? Anyway then when our food came, my food as well as my mothers came COLD. I mentioned to Frank that my food was cold and he just stood there looking at me as if I was lying about it being cold? Why would I lie about it being cold? So I said I mean if you wanna stick a finger in there & check? He said it's fine I'll change it. Now this rubbed me the wrong way because why make me feel as if I lied about the temp of the food I'm paying for?? Simple should've just promptly offer to swap out the dish & not stare at me like if I'm lying? Now lastly... the bill. We waited so long for the bill that we had what looked like maybe the section lead check on us and ask 2x if everything was okay & we told him we're still waiting for bill. He went to go find the server & when Frank finally came back... he gave us our tab & left then about 15 min later, comes back & gives us someone else's tab and said we didnt pay?? Now we're all looking at him like???? That's not our tab. Our tab is right here we're paying cash that's someone else's table.. Frank again was lost & confused and left with both tabs. Add another 10-15 min and finally brings the receipt. For the price of everything on the menu, you'd expect stellar service & warm food. Would not recommend. Only good for a quick drink and off to the next establishments next door

The ambience was relaxing. Definitely more on the romantic mood. The food was ok. The taste and the way the meat was cooked wasn't too bad, it's edible. But I was expecting more for the price. Cocktails were ok too.I wouldn't come back.

Great food, great drinks, & great company! We had reservations and were sat quickly. They have a lot of options to choose from food and drinks. The interior decorations are beautiful and the food and drinks were really good!I would say attire wise dress more on the formal side.

Lagos Mexican Cuisine is located in the SOCO district of downtown Fullerton. There is convenient free parking right across the street in the multi-level parking garage. The restaurant can get busy at times and I recommend making a reservation on OpenTable. There were no reservations available on a Saturday night, but we took a chance and went anyway. With no delay, we were seated at a high-top table in the bar area which also hosts one of several regular seating areas. The restaurant has a trendy feel and has a lot of multi-colored lighting and great décor. The restrooms are even well decorated and have an upscale feel. The bar looks nice and there are several TVs which had sports on.It took about ten minutes for a server to initially come to our table, but after that the service was smooth and timely. Chips and salsa are not complementary but we ordered some anyway. The chips were nice and fresh and the salsa had good flavor and some heat that slowly creeps up on you. I enjoyed a jalapeno margarita which had a perfect mix of tequila, mixer, and spice and I always like the Tajin rim. She liked the Sol De Passion cocktail but would have rather had a full drink without the champagne shot on the side. We asked the server if you're supposed to pour it in and he said some people do and some just have it on the side.I had the Yucatan shrimp which was a great dish. There were a lot of shrimp inside and the tomatillo sauce had a light heat to it. The rice was nice and fluffy and I think I tasted a little touch of lime. I usually do not like beans, especially when they contain whole beans. But surprisingly these beans were delicious and I actually ate them all. We eat at a lot of Mexican restaurants and this is only the second place where I actually really enjoyed the beans. She really enjoyed the Al Pastor tacos. The quality and flavor of the food is always most important, but it's nice when the presentation is good also and these were nice looking entrees. This is the second time we have dined here and we will definitely be back again.

Went back last night to have dinner and celebrate my birthday with family. Had the most amazing time!! The food and bevies were incredible!! Service was a little slower than we would've liked, but he was working an area of tables that had 8 or more people in their party, including ours. I just love how pretty it is inside. The vibe is definitely classy/romantic/fantastic for any occasion! I will absolutely come back many more time! Yummy!

Food - They made it look good. Taste mediocre Service - From the server excellent. Well spoken and hospitable. Manager Mauricio- not qualified for hospitality industry. The one star is for the server. We made a reservation weeks in advance for anniversary. We go in. They made us sit by the passage. The was 5% occupancy in the restaurant. We requested can we get the booth. They said no that's for 6 people. I said we are five ! Practically two tables are taken!?! Hostess said there is a 6 proper reservation and there are other booths can we have this!?! She goes back to Mauricio and he says there is a party of 6 coming. We say fine. We have kids. We sit down. Then three people are seated on the same spot we requested. I asked the waiter what's going on ? Why lie ? He said they are our VIP clients. So they get preference !?!!! Never going back. Not recommending. Ambience- like could have been better. The photography is better that what u see live. They tried to make up for it by free desert. I told them u can't buy a bad review with a free desert. Lame.

Lagos is like if Newport Coast's Javier had a trendy younger sister that wanted to be exactly like her older brother when she grows up. The place is super cute, with a vibe that screams "Instagrammable," from the moment you pulled up. The mimosas flights were not little testers but more like four full glasses of champagne-- definitely enough to turn any brunch into a fiesta (and right about now I need a siesta). I rolled in with the girls for our 10:30 AM reservation, and it was as quiet as a library. I'm assuming the real party doesn't start until after dark, because at this hour, the only thing popping was the champagne. The food was fresh and flavorful, definitely not your typical 'meh' brunch fare. But definitely not the home cooked Mexican restaurant in Santa Ana. The guacamole was really good. Everything was great. Would I eat again? Heck yes! Was it authentic? Uhhh... no. But I couldn't help but notice that Lagos is definitely the place for cute girl dates and Instagram-perfect moments. Sadly, no Prince Charming walked through the door and trust me, I looked. Alas... I walked out the door extremely full and mildly buzzed; however, still single as can be. Food 9/10Drinks 10/10Decor 10/10Single men to choose from 0/10But I'd come back....

It was our first time trying this restaurant when you first walk in it's beautiful super cozy lots of expensive alcohol bottles decorating the entrance the chairs are very nice and spacious. The food is delicious. We ordered chips and salsa and fell in love with a spicy salsa Roja. I had a guava martini which was delicious by the way for dinner I ordered enchiladas de mole bomb AF! Also don't forget to try. The homemade flan is amazing creamy but not too sweet and not overwhelming at all. I definitely recommend you guys try this place. It's amazing.!!! loved it definitely look forward to our next visit.
