The carne asada burrito was packed full, and the fillings seemed really fresh and delicious. The person preparing my burrito was incredibly kind, and I appreciated being able to see exactly what was going into it--it made for a great experience. Though they had a few tables and chairs this place seemed more like a take-out joint. I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

This is the hole in the wall spot you probably scrolled past, I know as I did this a couple times. We live close by and decided to try it out since my wife was craving a wet burrito. It's a one man show and you just have to be patient with the sweet old man. We both got the carne asada deluxe burrito, but my wife made hers wet. The burritos are hefty and can be 2 meals if we weren't starving. The asada is flavorful and not overcooked. I would say the salsa verde could use more flavor but the pico salsa was refreshing and tasty. Overall it's a great spot that provides good quality and comforting Mexican food! We will definitely be back!

Bless this little old dude's heart. I came in with a somewhat large, very specific order late yesterday afternoon, and they were out of a couple of things that I had come to order. Under normal circumstances, I admittedly would have been irritated by this, but the man behind the counter who I believe is the owner (and definitely one of the cooks) was so authentic and apologetic. We ordered chile relleno (sold out -- he shared that his wife only makes 50 each day), shredded beef wet burritos, carnitas wet burritos, chicken enchiladas, and guacamole. Saying guacamole made the man immediately hesitate -- he had to double-check his avocadoes. He proceeded to grab a produce bag filled with half a dozen avocadoes and squeezed every single one. No dice, he had just bought them today, but he would give me his softest avocado no charge so we could still top our food with it if we wanted. Guys, my heart melted. All of the food was delicious. Haters gonna hate the microwaves, but this little man and his wife in the back were hustling and all of the food was delicious. It definitely felt homemade. Don't come expecting some gourmet experience, you're in an abuelo's kitchen now. Comfort food for the win at a super reasonable cash-only price. We will definitely be back, earlier in the day, to try those limited release chile relleno.

Well, I decided to give Gordita's another shot so when my wife asked if I wanted lunch after her meeting, I suggested we try this place again and try their burritos since they seemed to be a popular choice. She ordered the Chile Relleno burrito while I ordered the Chile Colorado. As I hear happens quite often, they had no guacamole and asked if sliced avocado would be okay so I went with that even though I would have preferred the guac. When my wife returned, we opened out containers and everything looked good but I didn't see my avocado. My wife suggested I cut open the burrito and sure enough it was placed inside. The burrito was definitely better than my previous combo last visit but I still didn't get why so many people think the food is the cat's meow. Don't get me wrong, it's good and definitely a good deal but it's not exceptional which is what a 5 or 4 should be. It's a cut above Taco Bell or other chain restaurants but I think 3 and half stars is what it deserves. There just isn't anything that makes it special. My wife also felt her burrito was...good but nothing to jump up and down about. The meat in the chile colorado was tender but the sauce was rather bland. The portions are reasonable so value wise, it's a good buy. If you're hungry, I wouldn't discourage anyone from eating there but it's not that four star that you'd drive out of your way to try. The owner is very nice so service is on the plus side. But 4.5 rating? Naw.

It was not bad but not good either not, will not be going again. They don't put enough meat in the burritos. It feels like you're eating rice n beans burrito.
