LA Fresh Poultry

If you're looking for fresh poultry or other live food to cook like rabbits or ducks they have them. The animals don't smell but after they are slaughtered you have a faint scent of them. Service is okay they are pretty quick. You have to watch the cashier, the owner told me $25 for my rabbit and she tried to charge me $35 he had to tell her twice the price is $25. If you haven't been there before ask the old man in the baseball cap for the price before you get in line.

Tender chicken. Fast service. Easy to spot. Family business snd have been there for many years

They don't the different type of ducks there are Peking duck and Muscovy ducks they told me they have it upon arrival they want sell me something else

I just wanna start by saying that anyone who thinks this place has bad customer service doesn't truly understand the value of this place, and what they are honestly back here doing. The staff has been amazing and incredibly helpful every time I've been here. Always have a selection in stock, and always willing to prepare your order exactly is asked as any other great butcher would. I've been coming here for years and have no idea why I would ever stop. Keep up the good work!

Service was polite--no hint of the rudeness others have mentioned. And no smell inside-place looked very clean. Very limited selection of items, maybe because I went late in the day. But don't think I'd come again. They refused to cut chicken pieces for me that I wanted to use for stock, but main problem is that the chicken just didn't yield a flavorful soup. I'm genuinely not sure why. Used necks, thighs, legs and feet for the stock first, then a whole white chicken which was all they had for the soup. Weirdly bland using a recipe I've done dozens of times and usually comes out delicious even if I'm just throwing a whole chicken in the pot with the veggies. Strange, but think I'll go back to regular organic chicken. May be worth trying again when they have more in stock?

Great prices for fresh poultry . Bought a live duck and some eggs. The lady was helpful, and I don't get some of the negative reviews. All I would suggest is that, as an English speaker myself, if you're a bit out of your element just be nice and don't be entitled. Try to speak their language and be grateful for their willingness to help you.

People are not being Karens when they say that the staff is rude, but it's not all of the staff just that one lady at the counter and she is super rude to anyone not speaking spanish to the point of appearing racist ... meat of-course is freshly cut and delicious, you can literally pick your chicken from a good variety, same with turkey and quails ... if you are into halal/ zabiha, you can ask one of the muslim guys there Or can even slaughter one yourself ... the slaughtering and cutting guys/girls are super cool but the entire experience gets spoiled by the lady at the counter and the owner should talk to her, their entire business gets a bad rep due to 1 bad apple and it's just plain stupid in 21st century ...

I live in the apartment building behind this store and because they advertise freshness - i've always wanted to try their eggs. I'm not gonna bore you with my experience but bottomline the workers at rude and not at all helpful. I can walk less than 100 ft to buy fresh eggs, but after my visit i would rather lose my parking spot and drive to Ralph's nearby.

Love the fresh killed chickens from here for cooking! I also get the gizzards and the feet for soup! Love it!

Great poultry at the freshest quality. Slaughtered to order. Family thought it was the best turkey ever
